Education as a spiritual Journey

Inspiring Thoughts
و India 2020: A Vision For The New Millennium

After reading a book from the magnate personality who drove the change and changed India you realize one thing, 'the amount of reading' which has been done by Dr. Kalam. With every book you read, you realize how less you know! True inspiration.

Book talks about the importance of teacher/mentor in the society and instances were Dr. Kalam served as a teacher and student at others.
He envisions India's and describes how important is the role of teachers in driving this change.

I mentioned amount of reading by the fact that how profound the book is. Phrases, short paragraphs and analogies range from ancient Buddhism, Arabic, Hindu, Greek mythology. Such is the expanse.

Short read.
Must read.

This book discusses the vision of the school system for India 2020 to promote equal opportunity for everyone rural and urban, spirituality and innovation. The roles and responsibilities of a teacher to encourage entrepreneurs. The student to have a moral and ethical value with openness to learning with gratitude. This book contains a few exciting anecdotes of Atal, Einstein, Bohr, Curie and Raman. Example Raman refuses to attend the president's invite to receive Padma award because he had to be with his PhD student in his thesis. These are the highs and engaging parts, along with his take on educational concepts that need improvements. I find that it would be more appealing if the content is curated more. There are a lot of stretched out points with a lot of focus on extended philosophy that is not connecting.

Why I read this book?💯
I am always a fan of A.P.J Abdul kalam since my childhood. He was my favourite president and scientist. His affection for the country youth is so admirable. I had read his autobiography and that was one of my favourite books. You are born to blossom is one of it's another best selling and highest rated book.

What you learn from this book?💯
I think it's depend on how you read and conceived the idea of this book. This book contains many metaphors of prominent works of great people to understand the eclectic range of subtle ideas. Today's youth is after the job.

This psyche is the result of unshaped guidance and principles taught by their teachers and parents.

Writer penned hard on the need of giving right guidance to children by their teachers.
He emphasized students to choose science as their field of profession.

A vision of 2020 india can't be achieved without the right guidance.

Which is my favourite part?💯
Raman was in the first batch of Bharat Ratna Award winners. President Rajendra Prasad wrote to Raman inviting him to be his personal guest in Rashtrapati Bhavan. Raman regretted explaining that he was guiding a PhD student and that the thesis was positively due and the student was valiantly trying to wrap it all up.

Raman felt that he had to be by the side of his student, to ensure that his thesis was completed. He signed the thesis as the Guide, and then had it submitted. He considered staying with his student as his duty and gave up the pomp of a glittering ceremony associated with the highest honour of the land.

The books is an insight to life given from 3rd eye; it indicates education as a boat in which we sail and eventually the way education moulds our lives from day 1. Life is not till school and high school, the books cover the whole life and the purpose according to a science student and what you give in each stages of life. As a teacher this book is must to read and who are better teachers than parents themselves. A good balance between where the old methods are lost and the new methods which are too contemporary.

I found the book a bit slow and repetitive at times, and it didn’t always hold my attention. Still, it’s worth reading if you want insight into his journey and mindset, even if it’s not a page-turner.Reading this book makes you realize that true greatness comes from a lifetime of learning, reflection, and perseverance. Dr. Kalam’s journey shows that curiosity and determination can turn dreams into reality.

well, i dont knw how to rate this book. here, mr. Kalam discusses many inspiring quotes and his own real life incidents but i found it boring and struggled to complete reading this book, may be it is the 1st book im reading of this kind. The content of this book altogether is not a story or his autobiography, but it focusses on discussing an important issue and he uses various quotes from different great personalities and his own life incidents for making it more effective and better understandable.
