Rate this book
With her life on the line, can she protect her heart?

A Chances Are story.

Phoebe s work at Second Chances, a women s shelter, has gone a long way toward her own healing after surviving an abusive relationship in college. She s moved on in every sense except when it comes to dating.

Everything changes when Craig visits the shelter. The hot, young cop sets her pulse racing in a way that makes her consider making a move and moving him into her bed for a casual fling. The first step: ask him out. Subtly, of course.

Craig has been attracted to Phoebe for months, so he s more than happy for the chance to get to know her better, in bed and out. His interest goes way beyond casual, but convincing her to think long term is going to take some time.

When it becomes clear her violent ex has come out of the woodwork, though, time is the one thing they don t have "

way too short

Very rushed and it could have been a little longer. The author has become Queen of the Short story and has lost some her great writing from the past. I guess 100 pages is her limit.

This was a very sweet, and somewhat scary as well, book. Phoebe really did need protection, and she got that, and a lot more from Craig. Very romantic, and nicely written, with some humour injected in the seriousness.

This book was good. I enjoyed it, but it was fairly predictable. Nothing really stood out as particularly complex or exciting. It was a quick read and worth the time, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to my friends. Maybe I missed something by not reading the rest of the series.

This was a little on the darker side compared to the other two books but I still loved it. Definitely an amazing story and I love Craig! Who doesn't love a hot cop protecting you?? Loved this story and a great ending to the series!

Great finish to a great series but I'm sad to see the end. Looking forward to what Shelli comes up with next.

I wanted more from this book. The length wasn't as long as i'd of liked and the ending was a bit abrupt. It was still sexy hot and full of steaminess but I definitely wanted more.
