The Treasure of Paragon #10

The Angel of Paragon

Rate this book
An angel called. A devil answered.

Princess Charlotte is the sole heir to the throne of Paragon. But twenty-five years after she helped vanquish Empress Eleanor, her parents still treat her like a child—and it doesn’t help that her sunny angel disposition makes her easy to overlook. When the king and queen leave Paragon for an extended period, Charlie decides to prove her leadership skills by throwing a party themed around a popular Earth holiday.

Environmental Scientist Liam Morris doesn’t do celebrations. In his experience, relationships are nothing but distractions, most of them doomed to fail. He’d rather spend his days on an iceberg in the arctic than around the table with his family.

Things get complicated when Charlie snatches Liam from earth and brings him to Paragon, hoping he'll help her iron out the details of her event. Will grumpy, bearded Liam be the answer to her prayers… or more trouble than she can handle?

I loved Charlie and Liam’s story

I loved Charlie and Liam’s fish out of water, fated mates romance. This is another great installment in this spellbinding series and a further view of what Paragon looks like now that it has been decades since the empress has been destroyed. I was pulled into the captivating story and the world from the first sentence. Charlie and Liam are portrayed as real, relatable people who have flaws, but are really trying to just do their best as messy fallible beings who have scars from their pasts. Charlie is a celestial being and the princess of Paragon, another realm. Liam is an environmental scientist from earth whose specialty is studying Arctic ice. When Charlie wants to surprise her relatives with an Earth Christmas celebration, she opens a dimensional portal to the North Pole to seek help from Santa Claus for a few days. What she gets is Liam in a red insulated suit who is drilling into Arctic ice. While Liam is helping Charlie and being fascinated with Paragon, feelings start to develop which complicates the plan for Liam to return to Earth in a few days. The story includes what you’d expect from this genre - fated mates, steamy encounters, sweet moments, paranormal creatures, loyal friends and family, painful pasts, mystical coincidences, mystery, plot twists, evil actors, and laughs. While this is a standalone and you will not be lost if you have not read the other books in the series, there are some overarching storylines and character back stories that you’ll enjoy more if you read the books in order. I am sorry to see the end to this series. 4.5 stars.

I am delighted to meet Charlie all grown up! She is beautiful, smart, compassionate, and loved - everything I hoped her to be. While her parents are away on a special mission to help Aunt Avery finally accept Uncle Xavier's tooth (Book 6 Highland Dragon - if you know you know), Charlie wants to organize a Christmas celebration to show her family how appreciative and capable she is. But the Earth holiday is unfamiliar to her, so she decides to enlist the help of a bearded, red-suited gentleman from the North Pole. And ends up kidnapping an environmental scientist instead!

Hapless but not helpless scientist, Liam Morris, is tall of stature and broad of brawn, which makes him a human who almost measures up to Charlie's male dragon family members. It's his heart that entrances the dragon princess, however, as he has renounced his massive family wealth in favour of pursuing studies that will save the planet, regardless of what his capitalist parents think of his endeavours. At first, he can't believe that he has been transported to Paragon. But then, the scientist in him takes over and he decides to satisfy his curiosities while agreeing to help the lovely "angel" with her Christmas party. The Angel of Paragon is a great rom-com standalone as well as a Christmas-themed paranormal. It's also sweet, sexy, and low on drama. Happy ending guaranteed.

First, let me say, this is one of the most beautiful covers ever. Who wouldn’t want those wings? Second, it is so rare that a story this anticipated lives up to your expectations, but this one not only lives up to them, it exceeds them! Princess Charlie is all grown up! She is wise beyond her years, a little impetuous, and a little underestimated by her family. She goes looking for Santa, and finds a grumpy scientist named Liam instead. Luckily, these two are perfect mates, though it does take a minute, and a lot of spicy moments, for them to figure it all out. I love how each of her overprotective uncles, and her dad, react to Liam! So, so funny! This world, and these characters, are so rich, layered, and interesting, that I was excited to know there would be another visit to Paragon! This story made me laugh and it made me happy, but it also made me sob, so keep those tissues ready! Genevieve Jack tells a wonderful story, so I am always happy to spend some time with her creations! Thank you, Genevieve, for giving me another moment with some of my favorite characters!

Awesome Read!

I enjoyed all the characters in this book! I felt that Charlotte and Liam had good chemistry between them and I was pleased with the outcome! Liam's family truly scared me! The way they turned on each other in no time was nerve wrecking and it explained why he always walked around with a frown on his face. I do believe people will enjoy this book/series. I definitely do recommend it!

Cornucopia

Charlie may be a Princess with a very large and loving family but she is still kinda lonely. Her parents leave the kingdom on a mission with her uncle's in charge. Why didn't they leave her in charge. She was old enuff and mature enough. Her parents still thought of her as child. When would they realize that she was a powerful and intelligent woman? Thank Heaven that Jack have Charlie her own story.

Fantastically Finished Series

Absolutely loved Charlie's story and hearing how all of the family members are doing. Charlie and Liam have an amazing love story! The steam and passion is tastefully written and still hot as hell. Who knew that an angel and an enviromental scientist would create so many sparks 😂Sad to see the series end but it ended on a high note.

This one is all about Charlie, the Angel of Paragon. She wants to prove she can stand in for her parents while they are gone and to have Christmas for her Aunt Avery, what could happen. This was a great ending to this series.

Paragon Series

The ending was a bit short, but other than that the whole Treasures of Paragon series was a pretty good read.
