Phoenix Fire: Severed Ties
Phoenix Fire is an original novel taking place in the American Heartland after the collapse of civilization. Seven years ago a virus broke out causing its victims to spiral into insanity. Over the course of a few weeks those infected would devolve into little more than animalistic killers. The virus quickly overwhelming all measures created to stop it. In less than a year it was all over.
In the present Dave is a survivor living alone in the ruins of his home town. The virus having taken everything from, he wants little more than to be left in peace. That peace is upset one day when the love of his life Kim, a woman who had been haunting his dreams, returns from the dead.
She is in the company of one of Dave’s oldest friends, and now bitterest enemies. He makes Dave an offer that fate may not let him refuse.

Was a fantastic read, would recommend to anyone. Anyone whom comes across the novel should at least give it a shot.
