Eccellente studioso e commosso ammiratore, Trapè ha dato vita a un capolavoro di libro, che è insieme una biografia del Santo, un'introduzione e una sintesi del suo pensiero, un'opera di edificazione e spiritualità.
Le numerose citazioni tratte dagli scritti di S. Agostino, sempre opportunamente circostanziate, permettono di entrare in contatto diretto con lo spirito di questo grande santo.
Estremamente consigliato.

I was interested in learning more about this Christian Saint who came from Africa and was certainly not disappointed. It may have been nice to have some quotes by the Saint interspersed through the book, not just biography. That being said, the author has done a very thorough job and explaining every step in Saint Augustine's journey in great detail. A good book.
