Many Christians desire to read the Bible. So often, however, we get side tracked by other things in life. We set a goal to read and when we find it too much of a burden we stop. My approach is somewhat different. It is not so much as reading the Bible as interacting with God's Word. The idea is to read a chapter and pick a verse, then ask why is this verse important. The goal is to read that one chapter study that one verse and write down your thoughts. Not real hard, no time constraints but then repeat the process. It is best each day, but whenever you read a new chapter include this process. By reducing the goal to a single chapter the eventuality of reading the Bible will become a reality. Even more important there is the interaction between the read and the Word by expressing what the Word has said in the words of the reader.
