Knee Deep is a story of three very different lifelong friends nearing their 40s and at different stages in their lives. In this charming tale of lifelong friendship we learn the importance of these relationships and balancing them with being true to ourselves.

Through the three women we see life from all of their perspectives and learn that our assumptions of what we think is going on in someone else's home is often far from the truth. The story promotes the importance of getting to know someone deep down before making judgements.

I enjoyed the characters and found them to be genuine and related. I could see myself being a part of this trio. The pace of the book is spot on, I found myself reading late into the night because I had to know what happened next.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you @suzannelanewriter and @zooloosbookstours for having me!

This is a really heartwarming story about friendship, fun and finding your true self.
Three friends since childhood are fast approaching 40 and all on very different life paths. Together they overcome the problems they are facing and become stronger for it.
The friendship is the main focus of the book and its incredibly loving and strong.
I really liked the characters, especially the side characters like Tom, Miles and Jen. They added more warmth and humour to proceedings.
The story is exactly as you expect, but that's the beauty of this genre, it might be predictable but it will still make you smile.

This is such a heart-warming, charming story which really pushes home the importance of true life-long friendship, and being true to yourself – which is a beautiful message!

Knee Deep (which is a perfectly apt title for the story) is all about three friends, three women who have known each other since school and now they are near their big 40 and with that bring all sorts of personal issues which our ladies must contend with.

Through the three women, we see all aspects of life put into the spotlight, and shows that you can never know what is going on in a personas life; on the outside, they may have a perfect life but behind closed doors, all is not what it seems and that they could be going through the worst moments of their lives. It also has a wonderful message of not judging a person’s life before you know their story.

These three women are so different and yet so relatable, I can guarantee every woman who reads this will relate to at least one, they are the best of friends and have been with each other through thick and thin no matter what life tosses them you know that Georgie, Liza and Brooke will face it with laughter, friendship and the odd glass of something bubbly.

The women are at different stages of their lives, one is the typical stressed working mother and loving wife, her life is manic but perfect – but is it all as perfect as it may seem? Another is happily married to her ‘perfect’ husband but they are missing a piece of the happily ever after jigsaw, her much yearned-for bundle of joy. And the third is oh-so glamourous, oh-so successful and oh-so-happy with her single life – but is she?

There is nothing surprising about the story, it’s predictable and exactly how you would expect it to be, but that doesn’t take away any of the enjoyment of reading it. I love that it’s such an easy quick read, there is nothing stressful about it, it’s light and utterly heartwarming. It’s one of those books where you can just sit out in the garden, with a glass of something fizzy (or in my case a cuppa) and spend a few hours away from the real world.

Overall, Knee Deep is a wonderfully light and cheerful story it’s engaging and very easy to follow with its humourous and feel-good style, the perfect weekend read!

If you pop by regularly, you may already know how much I adore my friends and I love to read books about friendship and women supporting each other. So, with this in mind, you may not be surprised to hear that I thoroughly enjoyed reading Knee Deep by Suzanne Lane. Knee Deep is the story of 3 friends – all very different in personality and life circumstances but all very close. As each of the girls struggle with personal issues, their lived begin to fall apart. Can their friendship see them all through?
I adored these three women and became so invested in their journeys to seek happiness. They are all so different yet all so relatable and real. They all live very different lives yet none are fully satisfied and this is a very familiar feeling for so many people in reality. Suzanne Lane touches on some sensitive issues that women experience daily and it’s good to read about them through characters, almost normalising them.
This is such a heartwarming book. There are so many emotions along the way and I became attached to Liza, Brooke and Georgie. I wanted to be part of their circle and comfort each one.
This is such a great book to celebrate friendships and different women.

This charming and engaging story instantly captured my attention and the writing flowed so well it was a joy to read. I felt all the emotions and the likeable characters really draw you in to their lives. We can all relate with the way they are trying to do their best and how their friendships shape and guide them – I loved their interactions together.

The split perspective means we get to know all the women really well and feel invested in their lives and how the story unfolds. Georgie is a busy working mum who devotes her time to her children and husband, is there more to his late night working? Liza has a loving husband and desperately wants a baby to complete her happy family. Brooke has a successful career and a party life style and seems the most content but is she looking for more?

They have been friends forever navigating life and all the ups and downs it throws at them. Each has their own pressures and stresses, and life struggles they are facing, and they draw on each other and listen, support and strengthen one another. It takes us on an emotional rollercoaster with each character and I felt like I was going through their journeys with them!

It’s a celebration of friendship which pulls on your heart strings and lifts your spirits. There are so many relatable themes covered from juggling family, work and social commitments, societal expectations in play, facing your fears, and making time to look after ourselves. All three women are determined to be there for each other and their resilience shines through. This is a fun-filled, enjoyable read packed with humour and heart. One to be added to your TBR!

‘Knee Deep’ is a light-hearted, feel-good, cheerful read that focuses on the strengths that friendships can hold when life throws us a curve ball. This fantastically engaging and delightful story is a perfect book to relax in the sun with, or for offering escapism from the harsh realities of life!

The three main characters Georgie, Liza, and Brooke are all equally likeable, I do not have a favourite, but I am sure they will appeal to others for varied reasons. There is at least one character that readers will be able to relate to, and it is hard not to become absorbed in the drama and lives of these three women.

The writing style ensures the plot flows well, allowing the reader to understand each character, their lives, and their flaws, without being draining or heavy.

I recommend this read to anyone who needs humour and entertainment right now. The bonus of ‘Knee Deep’ being on the Kindle Unlimited package means you can read this for free, (if this subscription applies to you!)

Treat yourself this weekend – I loved this story and am confident other readers will too!

Thank you, ZooLoo Book Tours, and Suzanne Lane, for a gifted copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I enjoyed the concept of the book, I found it an easy read and I liked the main characters. There was a great introduction into each character and left me feeling like I knew them well enough throughout the book.

Liza and her husband Tom are having fertility issues and going through a rough time with this. They are both desperate to have their miracle baby.

Georgie is married to Paul - although Paul seems quite absent in the relationship, makes you wonder…? If you know what I mean. Seems like their marriage is falling apart and Paul is seeing to himself.

Brooke is single and carefree. Not a worry in the world for her. She is very job-focussed and is enjoying living her best life.

It is a very modern day read with these three friends, so different when you pick it all out yet they have such a great friendship.

A great debut novel from Suzanne Lane! Thank you @zooloosbooktours for having me on tour.

This book is a long way from my preferred genre of psychological thrillers, dark characters and murder and I loved it. It is the heart warming story of three women who have been friends forever and are always there for each other. It is told from the perspective of Georgie, Brooke and Liza, three very different characters. We really get to know the three, to empathise and care about them. When each of them hits a crisis in their personal lives it is a story of love and support from friends. There are, of course, tears but there is also a lot of laughter.

This is the first book I have read by Suzanne Lane but I’m really looking forward to reading more from this talented author.

In this story we have three best friends, Georgie, Brooke and Liza.

Liza is married to Tom and they are desperate to have a baby but not having any luck.

Georgie is married to Paul. Paul is always “working” and never home with Georgie and their children.

Brooke is - well Brooke! Single, career minded and never one to turn down a night out drinking or a one night stand!

We follow the three friends through their laughs and woes.

I loved this story so much. It‘s a story of true friendship and at one point did bring a tear to my eye. The characters and storylines involving them all were believable. I didn’t put this book down, I needed to know all about their lives and what was happening next.

Suzanne Lane is a new author to me but I shall certainly be looking to read more from this author.

My thanks to Zooloo’s Book Tours for a copy in exchange for my honest review.
