Laura and Ben have survived all manner of family mayhem. They are, against the odds, still together. A perfect wedding and happy ever after are on the horizon. Or are they? After no end of spokes in their wheels, our favourite lovebirds have named the day. A small do in a lovely venue, with a handful of family and friends to help them celebrate. So where does the ungrateful pasty-loving woman come in? And when Laura and Ben are wrestling with scraggy flowers and rum-soaked fruit cake, where are Maureen and Fenella? If you enjoyed the first four stories in the Scott Family series of romantic mayhem, you’ll love Wedding Wobbles , the final instalment. Just a word of warning... this one might tug at your heartstrings, so you'd better have a box of tissues to hand. If you want to find out if Laura and Ben make it down the aisle, download Wedding Wobbles today and get ready for a bumpy ride.
Wedding Wobbles is the fifth story in the Scott family saga and it is every bit as hilarious as its predecessors. I love this family so much. If you are a fan of Marion Keyes’s Walsh Family then you’ll love The Scotts too. I do highly recommend reading this series of novellas in order as they work much better and make more sense chronologically. It’s finally time for Ben and Laura to marry but in true style, there are disasters and calamity’s waiting in the wings. Can hey make it down the isle or will their families finally get the better of them? Laura’s family are hilarious. They are so sweet, down to earth and loving but nothing ever seems to go right around them, especially mum. She tries so hard to look after everyone and make everyone feel special but can just never quite manage to pull it off. However, she does provide endless, hilarious situations and consequences and she is my favourite character. Ben’s family are also funny but in a completely different way. They are over the top posh and Fenella in particular is snooty and unlikable which makes some of the antics even funnier. Wedding Wobbles is hilarious and heart-warming and I have enjoyed every last minute of this series. I’m devastated it’s the last however I enjoy everything Amanda writes and am looking forward to future novels.

I have read this book as a standalone and I found it quite easy to follow - there are mentions of events that have clearly happened in previous books but I still didn't feel like I was missing necessary information. Overall I felt like this was a nice, quick, enjoyable read that I read in under an hour.
If you have enjoyed the previous books in the series then you will love this book. Even if you haven't read the previous books, this one is definitely worth a read.
This is the first book I have read in the Scott Family Series, however, it was also perfect to read as stand alone.
I found this to be a nice, quick, easy read. I felt for Laura and Ben because if something could go wrong it did and I kept wondering if the wedding would take place.
The author has filled this with romance as well as humour. I didn't take to one or two of the characters but others I loved.
I haven't read any of the other books in this series, and easily found I could read this as a standalone.
A novella sized read, which is the fifth in the Scott family saga. I found it an easy, enjoyable read, perfect to read over a cup of tea and a biscuit or two.
Heartwarming, humorous, and calamities aplenty as Ben and Laura prepare to tie the knot.
Some fantastic characters, a fab storyline and a definite winner for me.
Many thanks to Rachel's Random Resources for my tour spot.
Everyone loves a wedding, don’t they? Well, if you want a short but sweet, light-hearted novella with plenty of laughs out loud moments, then Wedding Wobbles is perfect for you!
Although this is the fifth instalment of The Scott Family series, this works well as a standalone. I haven’t read any of the previous books in the series, and this didn’t dampen my enjoyment. I’m looking at reading the entire series if I can find it!
Novellas are great for those who don’t have time to get into a big chunky novel, so on the commute to work or to relax in the bath - this is a lovely story to provide a bit of escapism.
The only critical point about this is it was too short for my personal preferences! I was left wanting more as it is immensely entertaining!
Thank you, Rachel Random Resources, for a gifted copy of this book and a spot on the recent book tour. All opinions are my own.
Wedding Wobbles is the conclusion to the Scott Family series. I would highly recommend reading the others in the series before this one to get the most enjoyment as you will have a better understanding of all the characters.
You can’t help but feel for Laura and Ben. Planning a wedding at any time is a stressful time but more so when you have two mothers who make things even harder. Fenella, Ben’s mum, yet again had me biting my tongue so many times and I was dying for either Ben or Laura to give her a piece of their minds!
Things were never going to be straight forward for this couple. What follows is a humorous and also heartfelt read that will have you laughing one moment, only to be tearing up the next. There is a real sense of family and what is important in life. Whilst it makes for an entertaining read, there is also a deeper meaning to it.
Wedding Wobbles is a lovely conclusion to this series. I’ve had so much pleasure out of these novellas and I hope the author decides to revisit the characters again sometime in the near future. As much as I dislike Fenella, she does make me laugh, along with Laura’s parents who couldn’t be anymore opposite to Ben’s parents! A fun and heart-warming read!
My thanks to Rachel at Rachel’s Random Resources for inviting me to be part of the blog tour. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.
I received a gifted copy of ‘Wedding Wobbles’ by Amanda Paull in return for my honest review.
This novella follows Laura and Ben as they plan their wedding day at ‘The Grand’. It is the perfect venue, even though there are also some bad memories at a past family event.
Once the wedding has been booked Laura starts to organise and find creative jobs to keep the mothers of the bride and groom busy.
With everything not going Laura’s way, drama in the family and illness will the wedding be the perfect day they were planning?
I found this novella fun to read, as although there was constant drama it was in a light-hearted way. It felt like the way a lot of families try to deal with things with a little bit of laughter to keep you going.
I liked Laura’s character as she is a worrier like me, and I thought it was really sweet how Ben looks after her and knows how to make her feel better about the situations.
I haven’t read any of the other parts of the series, but I would love to so I could find out how this couple came to be together and their background.
Overall, a light-hearted and relatable novella showing the family drama’s around planning a wedding.
After all the struggles, the wedding should be the easiest part, right? It took a while and a lot has happened, but now Laura and Ben are finally ready to say ‘I Do’ and spend the rest of their lives together. However, the road to say those words appears to be also a bumpy one… it starts with choosing a venue and wrong dates, followed by interfering mothers, too many DIY, wilting flowers and the list just goes on… Will the wedding be the wedding of their dreams? Or will this last hurdle be that one too many? When I started reading this book, I was told that it was a standalone book. So I knew there were previous parts, but I thought it would be easy to catch up with everything that happened before and have an easy read. So in that matter I was a bit disappointed, not by the story itself, because it was hilarious to read, but because I just couldn’t catch up. There were several references to what happened before that didn’t make sense to me, because no, I didn’t know what happened then, or why this specific venue was giving Laura doubts etc. But once I’ve made my peace that I would be wondering over certain facts, I truly enjoyed reading this book. Even without reading the previous parts, it’s obvious that Laura and Ben have been through multiple struggles and already had their fight for love. And while this last part should be the epitome, with a wonderful wedding, it’s obvious that not everything will go as both Laura and Ben want. And for me, it made sense that Laura starts to doubt just everything. Because if nothing will go as planned, it surely is a sign? I understood that Laura was getting frustrating, because how many things could possibly be going wrong? And yes, I admit I had several laughs because I am an evil woman sometimes. But I also found it sweet how Ben always looked at the bright sight of things, and made sure that Laura didn’t just give up. I enjoyed reading this novella, despite the lacking background. It shows us that sometimes Murphy’s Law can be very persistent, but we can fight Murphy and with combined forces, even the impossible can be overcome. And that no matter curveballs come your way, love will always prevail!
