Shadow cursed is the Second Misfit Academy book and whilst it can be read as a stand alone it does follow on from book one. I do recommend these book are read in order.

Following the dramatic and dangerous first year Norah is back at school. She wants to remain anonymous but that is impossible now. She wants to control her magic but that is hit and miss. She wants to see Zachary but he is ghosting her. She wants a quiet year ...

Shadow cursed is a very good paranormal YA read that can be read by any age. It is well written with great characters and I really enjoyed it. This book will appeal to fans of this genre and to readers looking for something new. I definitely recommend it.

Book 2 can be read as a standalone but it is better to read it in the right sequence.

It's well written and packed with a lot of action, drama, mystery and magic. I'm enjoying the series so far.
