Such a unique and excellent book for reading aloud to middle aged kids (7 - 11). Fabulous for bedtime, written in a way they can imagine being the character and going on these mini adventures (multiple stories in 1 book). Great conversation starters too for life lessons and ethics. Would reccomend to any friend.

While my kiddos are on the upper end of the age spectrum that this book is written for, I'm still not a huge fan. The writing is okay, but not spectacular, and the illustrations feel clumsy to me. In fact, the main reason I'm even continuing to read these stories with my kids is for the descriptions of imaginary places that one can go to in meditation (which is one of the main points of this book). I figure if all my kids get out of this book is some imagery to help them in their own meditation times, then it will be worth the effort in the end.

This is a good book filled with many short stories. The stories are used to encourage your students. I would use this in my class if I noticed my students need affirmation. This might be a good book to pull out during CRCT's to encourage students.
