Since she was young, Lena Anderson’s dream was to get a degree in biology and explore the Amazon Rainforest. Unexpectedly, the day of college graduation, her travel blogger best friend Derek made the second part of that lifelong dream come true by surprising her with an all-expense paid trip to the one place she’s always wanted to visit.
The only thing that’ll make Lena’s life complete now is if she can somehow discover a new species during the two-week expedition through the uncharted and restricted Vale do Javari region of the Amazonas. On the last day of their adventure, just as she’s losing hope that she’ll make a new discovery, Lena breaks away from the group for a potty break only to take a tumble down a muddy hill and splash down into a stream without her friends realizing what’s happened. It’s there in that body of water where she discovers a giant, phallic worm the likes of which the world has never seen…
Then that worm races up between her legs and discovers a passage to the perfect habitat…
Little does Lena know, she may not be leaving that jungle empty-handed after all, because her dream adventure might end with her going home with the creature of her nightmares living within her womb…

I liked the concept, it’s disgusting and invasive and made me squirm and nauseated for sure so it hit the mark. I think this book fell short in it’s writing for me. Things like the words “vajayjay” just… doesn’t really work for me. I felt it read like a parody of a horror book, and maybe that was the intent of the author but it wasn’t what I was looking for.

Well this was certainly different. The graphic writing and the unusual story was something that will stick with me for quite a while. While I’m not one for erotic novels the nauseating happenings were very satisfying to someone who loves any kind of extreme or body horror. Can’t wait for the sequel.

Initially I was going to give this book 4/5, but after thinking about how inventive it was a weird, I had to make it 5/5! It’s gross, filthy, erotic, nasty, incredible, ingenious, wild, and completely addicting!
If you aren’t into body gore and overall tentacle smut, don’t read this! It gets very wild!

Pretty interesting, very cringy but decent read. Writing style isn't amazing but ideas are great. Kept me grossed out but engrossed at the same time.

2.5 ⭐️ Oh boy… that was…something 🤣
I have been wanting to read this series for a good month or so because it’s phallic creatures/plants, smut and body horror. What’s not to like?! I thought this would push my boundaries and it definitely did. I will say the book successfully gave me trouble sleeping the last few nights. And as a woman, it definitely made me feel things and cringe on the inside cause there’s lots of activity going on in those lady parts. There are many issues though.
The writing is SO BAD I had to take a star away. It’s very surface level and feels like you’re watching a bad creature feature horror movie. Think like Sharknado but with more masturbation and a phallic womb worm lol. No character development, no subtleties, nothing. It’s got about as much story as a porno.
Another star gets taken away for - The typos… gurl… ain’t nobody proofread this shit. It was written in a few days by a very excited author and then sent straight to Kindle … and it shows. Many, many, MANY typos and mistakes like character names being misspelled (looking at you ANTON) and so many sentences that are jumbled like the author started writing it one way, but then changed their mind. It was kind of painful to get through BUT -
Omg the creature. The actual parasitic worm is quite fascinating. There’s a lot of cervix, womb, uterus, cervical mucus, clit action here so be prepared. The creature horror and body horror reminded me of the movies Alien: Covenant and The Fly. Also the “research” that our main character Lena does is both frustratingly stupid and also thorough cause she’s a bIoLoGiSt. But Lena, ma’am, you were doing some real stupid shit for the sake of science.
I’ve decided the other 2-3 books might not be worth it, but we’ll see 🤣

WTF did I just read?! I saw this shared in a readers group as a joke, but the erotic Lovecraftian splatterpunk description pulled me in - and did not disappoint! This was disturbing and disgusting but wholly captivating and intriguing. I read it in one sitting and could not put it down! There were so many times I actually grimaced with disgust and found myself questioning the reactions of the main character out loud.
This story takes the mind controlling fungi parasite of The Last of Us to a whole other level with a semi mind controlling parasitic worm... That has a preference for a very specific part of the human anatomy.
This is a must read if you love grossing yourself out and whispering ''wtf'' repeatedly. I will definitely be reading the series of the series.

How to even begin with this!!!
I saw this recommended on a book sub and it definitely peaked my interest.
First of all, I loved the whole lovecraftian feel to the creature. This story is just....crazy, but I love it! It certainly was visceral as f*ck.
I am really looking forward to reading book 2.
If you enjoy body invasion with a touch of dark erotica, this is worth reading. Just don't eat before. You've been warned.
Actually, you know what do the whatever the f*ck you want lol, just know you are in for a ride with this series.

A good quick read.
I enjoyed this book. It has a great premise, and it is a real page turner. I just wish there was more story and less "smutt." And that is why I only gave it three stars. I get that it is supposed to be erotic, but it is the repetitive predictability of the sexual encounters and the clinical terms that they are discribed that makes these scenes fall flat. That being said, I might still give book 2 a chance.

Wow what was this book? It was so odd.
To start off I did like the first 25% or so, but the rest just dissolved into madness. I enjoy splatterpunk for the most part, but this was just boring and I couldnt get over some of the sentences/words, it just was really bad.
I really don’t want to talk about this any longer, it’s leaving my shelves and I will not be picking up any others in this series (for now atleast)

Progressively unhinged details of Lena contracting a womb worm in the amazon forest and the disgusting and vile happenings thereafter. It was invasive and made me uncomfortable and made my insides (phantomly) hurt. I was surprised I kept reading. It’s intriguing and interesting new concept though, and for this, 5 stars.

Yep this was definitely a weird read for me. It was very interesting and not really horrible. I kept on internally screaming "Girl get this thing out of you!" There is no way I'd want that thing staying inside. Horrifying!

I actually really enjoyed this story, it was all kinds of weird and wonderful! It left me wanting more!! Will be reading the rest in the primeval ones series and hope the outbreak is in the works!

I saw this book in a splatterpunk group on Facebook and immediately ordered it. It took me awhile to get to it, but it was so entertaining that I ordered the other two in the series immediately after I finished it.
I think most females have an irrational fear of something invading their most personal of spaces. What a unique and interesting book. I've never read anything like this before.
I washooked from the start and although there were some cringey moments, the writing style was generally good.

Extremely well written story. I only found a few grammatical errors, so the story was pretty well edited too. The idea behind this story is unique and exciting.

I’m a little worried by how much I liked this. Fast paced, absolutely disgusting, and deliciously entertaining. I do feel a little unclean after reading this. Changed somehow.

This book left me conflicted. Sexy? Not lots. Horrific? In theory.
I think the largest problem overall was Lena who had everything going for her but couldn’t seem to be grown enough to set up a follow-up appointment with her physician.
I think the pacing was great and style was fine too. I agree with other comments relating to the vocabulary used. It was odd having a biologist saying cooter and vajayjay. Although you can talk dirty here and there, I’ve never been keen on using either over those terminologies.
Hopefully, Willy will get wrapped in the next book or they’ll invent some pill to prevent it. Ba-dun-tiss
