I wouldn't normally read spy/action books and have never read any previous Carrie Harris books but really glad I gave Gemini assignment ago. Gripping from the start the story is fast paced and entertaining. The characters are well rounded and flawed which really added to the story and kept it from being wholly predictable or blasé. Good twist to the plot which I feel I should have seen coming but genuinely didn't. I don't think I have missed out on the story by not reading previous books as this can stand alone as a story however me being me I am now going to have to buy the previous installments! Very much enjoyed and feel it's converted me to considering other genres of book. Good for authors bad for my bank account 🤣

Audiobook: I was as entertained by this book as much as the others in the series. I felt for Agent Carrie Harris as her fairly straight forward assignment was thrust sideways once she realized that her mission involved people from her past. I was a little surprised by Carrie's distraction as she had been so focused during her training; however, I recognized that she had some unreconciled issues from her previous assignment. Whatever the danger, I was amazed at Agent Carrie's intelligence and ability to land on her feet. I enjoyed Deborah Balm's narration as her performance brought the characters to life. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.

This is a brilliant read.
Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start.
Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable.
Great suspense and found myself second guessing every thought I had continuously.
Can't wait to read what the author brings out next.

Another fantastic thriller!
GJ did it again, this book was fantastic. I couldn't stop reading it! I love all the Carrie Harris books....and Zombies are my usual genre, but these I am so glad to read. I love the characters and plot. He truly takes you with them as they go through it. You never know what she'll get herself into or how she'll get out of it, but rest assured, she will.

Great read with great characters, I've read the rest of the series and really enjoyed all of them, while this book does work well as a standalone to really appreciate it I would definitely recommend starting from the beginning of the series.
Lots of twists and kept me interested from start to finish, Carrie really is a great character!

I loved this book, fantastic kick ass characters. The story kept you gripped until the end. Reading this was an absolute pleasure and makes me want to stay in this world with the characters a little longer.

Another brilliant adventure in this well written & very enjoyable series! Cary gets herself into trouble again & has fun whilst doing so! Great action & plot line, as always an excellent read! I do recommend this series & writer! You will not be disappointed!

This is the first book of the series I’ve read and I loved it. You don’t need to read the first 2 to enjoy this book. Agent Carrie Harris is resourceful, smart and great at what she does. It is a fast and fun read. If you like smart Thrillers this is a good book for you.

I’ve read the other Carrie books, and this was by far the best one. Carrie reminds me of a female version of Jack Reacher. Non stop action from the beginning, and a rip roaring finale. Hope there are many more to follow.

I really like this series of books. The characters are always well written and you are hooked from the start. An easy writing style to read. For excitement, intrigue and mystery, you can't go wrong. Excellent, looking forward to Carrie's next mission!
