so far, the meanest thing he's said was that Farrah Faucett did nothing of note other than die. he's so mean!

*****************
While it was highly readable, it was more a bitch-fest about celebs than it was informational. I don't know, I'm the kind of person who wants to hear that nicole richie is skinny because she's on meth. i don't care about the stuff i already knew! dish, dammit! dish!

what i learned from perez hilton:

1. drew barrymore hates him
2. will.i.am hates him
3. christina agularia sort of hates him, but wants to be his friend.
4. he loves lady gaga.
5. he claims to love madonna, but took a lot of digs at her in the book. (i'm sure he's just 'keepin it real')
6. he waxed poetic about dj am's death, but i'm sure wouldn't have hesitated to call his a wastoid if he were still alive.
7. perez hilton is obsessed with the gym.

So, that's all folks. I've summed it up for you--you can skip this one.
Happy New Year! First book finished!

Silly and pointless. Don't get me wrong - I love me some good Hollywood gossip and I have nothing against Perez or his website, but this book, bleh. I was too sick to read anything else and it was still a waste of time....reads like it was written in about 45 minutes in order to make a publisher's deadline.

Reason 104 why I don't like reading "of the times" type of books well after their prime - the content is WAY too outdated. This would have been great to read in 2009 but reading it now just was too sad, especially all the comments about Amy Winehouse given she just died today. I'm sure back then it would have been great...

While I usually take guilty pleasure in consuming celebrity gossip, this was terrible. Catty, snarky, and NON scandalous...It probably didn't help that I was reading it almost 2 years after its release...but I probably won't be in a rush to read the next one!

I got this for $1 at a book sale - I paid about 85 cents too much. Wasn't really sure what to expect, didn't know who he is. This book is just mean spirited, a waste of time.

I'm a huge Perez Hilton fan. It's not that I believe he is of high moral character or anything along those lines, but when I'm between projects at work and the pace slows down, I find myself going to his blog. It's entertaining and breaks the mundaneness of the day up right when I'm in need of a laugh.

I knew this book would provide the same effect as his blog and I was correct. I never followed Jon and Kate plus Eight or any of that crap, but the details he provided in his book were really interesting. I never followed 'Octomom' in the news either and was surprised to find out that in addition to the eight kids she brought into the world, she already had six children! Insanity. I give this book a smutty thumbs up!

From reading his blog I knew he had a sense of humor, and with that in mind I started to read this book.
What I realized while reading it was that he wasn't just gossiping, he is actually really smart. He has learned to see through PR-reps lies and look deeper, to see what is really going on with the people he write about in his blog.
The ending was great, when he tries to predict what will happen to the celebrities in the future.

If you love Perez Hilton, you will love this book. If you have any beef with Perez don't bother picking this book up because you will just hate him more. I love him because he tells it like it is, there's no room in Hollywood for candying coating things.....He is who is is, love him or leave him alone!

I shamelessly visit Perez's site, daily.

This book was a pure guilty pleasure. Scratch that. I do not feel guilty about it.

It was just as campy, juicy and trashy as I expected it to be, and I loved every minute of it.

Uck. Just confirmed what I thought. Perez Hilton is a mean spirited, nasty person. Granted, some Hollywood folks do crazy stuff but that doesn't mean you have to be so horrid about it. The writing is okay, but it is mainly just short little blurbs without details that spew hate.

Bitchy & trashy. These 2 words sum this book up perfectly. I don't read this man's blog and this book is 240 pages of why not!!

Dated. Most of the people Hilton obsesses about are no longer relevant ie. octomom, Jon & Kate Gosselin, Heidi Montag, Lindsay Lohan, Eric Dane, & Robert Pattinson.
