What better way to end this volume than to see Excellent Era’s team get absolutely wrecked by Ye Xiu, who is almost 20 levels lower than them, along with a few “weeds” who aren’t even pro players yet? Also, the way Ye Xiu and his allies gained the upper hand wasn’t just some plot armor, either, because you can see how he used his brain to come up with strategies to lead a group that was obviously lower in level and skill. Seeing Sun Xiang get dragged off the pedestal he was standing on and Ye Xiu’s former teammates repeatedly getting beaten up despite having several advantages in their pockets made this such a satisfying scene.
Lord Grim finally stepped into the Heavenly Domain, and the guilds thought they could just corner and bully him because he was alone and the only Level 50 among thousands. Ye Xiu isn’t called one of the Master Tacticians in Glory for nothing. I just loved how he kept playing with these people, whether it was through a smart strategy to deal with them or simply by being shameless.
In this volume, there are fewer appearances from Ye Xiu’s potential teammates who have already been introduced, but we also get introduced to one character whom I am absolutely sure will be added to their team in the future.
