This is a pretty good cookbook — if you have a food dehydrator or buy a lot of dehydrated food, including meat, because you’re a prepper or you live in Texas and never know when your electricity is going to go for days on end. But my interest in meals in jars is to have something for when I’m working late or exhausted. Then I can have my husband or children — all terrified of the kitchen — empty the jar into a pot or the Instant Pot, add water or broth, maybe a pound of sautéed ground beef or two cans of canned chicken, and that’s it. In that case, there’s not a lot in here for you.
