i didn't give more stars only because she didn't answer his question if she would've EVER contact him again if they didn't bumped in each other ... this left a bad taste in my mouth.
She had almost 1 year and an half to tell him... but nope.
Also i already knew why she left him because i read previously her sister book.
I don't know why also he didn't fight more to know her reasons back then...
But whatever.
It was sweet over all.

The last of this series and this one made me tear up. We saw glimpse of them in the other books exs now going to the same place.
Thorne wants to know why Elodie broke his heart he wants answers and El is just avoiding it she doesn't know how he would react or how it would go down so she is on the let me try to avoid you lol.
But her time is done and when they talk it was heartbreaking El had cancer and she thought he didn't need to be tied down to a sick person. So she did what she thought was best. He didn't agree and there was some anger frustration.. he didn't take it well it was a hard pill for him to swallow. But after he took a break and talked to friends he got over it and went back to his girl.
We also have a mini omh did it come back.
Angst, no ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, tiny drama, sexy times, no virgins (they were eachothers off page)

Elodie had loved Hayes since the day they met at school, they had planned their life together until the unthinkable happened and she felt her only choice was to let him go. *spoilers* Hayes has only everbeen in love with Elodie, who suddenly broke up with him out of the blue. They had been high school sweethearts and he did not understand what ended their relationship, she disappeared. They were su sure to beeach others everything and soulmates. Three years later he sees her unexpectedly next to the race track. Her roommate and friend fell in love with one of his best friends. He gets even more grumpy and standoffish, not knowing what happened three years ago and driving himself crazy. When he saw her, she reacted like seeing a ghost and did not want to talk with him. Elodie is also hurting and still loving her soulmate. She broke up with him to save him from heartache. When they finally talk he can not understand her reasoning, she has taken away his choice. He tells her to call him Thorne, Hayes gone when she left him. Their love is strong, but twill fate seperate them for good?

Wow! This book had my emotions everywhere. Thorn and Elodie story was heartbreaking yet really sweet and heart warming. These two finally get to find out what happened years ago and they finally get a really sweet and much deserved HEA. I can't wait for the next book.

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.
Thorne met Elodie when they were in high school, they were sweethearts. When they graduated she broke up with him. They were suppose to go off to Princeton together but then both of their plans changed. Thorne went to Sequoia University meeting Kade then Hendrix. Thorne sees Elodie at the Stud Farm race track, when he tries to talk to her she runs away from him. When Thorne sees Elodie on campus he waits outside her building, when she comes out he tells her they need to talk. He tells her he needs to know why she broke up with him. She tells him not here she'll talk to him at her apartment since her roommates are out. He drives them, when they get inside, he asks her if she stopped loving him, whatever it is they can fix it. She tells him he might not think that after she tells him. Elodie tells Thorne she had cancer, Leukemia. He asks her what about now and she tells him she's in remission, and has been for a while. He can't believe she broke up with him because she was sick, she tells him he would have put her whole life on hold for her. He tells her if was his decision to make. He tells her she lied to him, she tells him she didn't want him to have to watch her die. She tells him it was better if he hated her, he tells her he never could hate her. He tells her her she is his whole world, he loves her with everything he has, she cut him out of the most important decision of her life as if he meant nothing. He tells her he's been miserable without her, she tells him she is sorry. He tells her he's been trying to figure out why she could stop loving him and she tells him she never stopped. Thorne tells her she didn't love him enough to tell him what was going on. She tells him she didn't want him trapped with her. He tells her he doesn't know how to process all of this and he leaves. When he gets back to his apartment Kade and Hendrix are there, they asks him if he's alright. He tells them what she told him and they ask him what would he have done if it would have been reversed. After Thorne thinks about it he realizes he would have done the same thing. Thorne know he can't waste this second chance to be with Elodie. He takes the short drive back to her apartment, knocks and when she opens the door, he asks her if she loves him. She tells him she never stopped, he tells her he never did either. He pulls her into his arms and kisses her. She asks him if he can ever forgive her, he tells her he will always regret the time they spent apart, but she is his heart, his whole world. He forgives her, he wants to spend every second with her. She tells him to show her what it would be to be his forever. He asks her if she is sure, they saved themselves for each other for after graduation, but that never happened. Thorne tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him too. He strips her of her clothes, then he strips himself. He puts her on her bed and pleasures her, then they get physical. They both snuggle together then fall asleep. The next morning Thorne wakes to Elodie throwing up in the bathroom. He goes to help her and asks her what he can do, she tells him nothing. He finds out she hasn't been feeling good since she moved in and started classes. He tells her to get dressed they are going to the doctor. She protest but he tells her it's not up for debate. He finds out she doesn't have a doctor yet, so he searches for the best one. They call the office and they can squeeze them in. They arrive at the doctors office and are seen right away. They have to wait for the test results a day or two. They head back to Elodie apartment, she calls her sister Chloe to let her know. Thorne brings her some food, and they spend the afternoon watching TV. The next day Kade and Hendrix come with food and board games they want to hang out while they wait for Elodie's test results. Kade tells Thorne they thought they both could use a distraction today. The morning flys by, they eat, and play games. Later in the day Elodie's phone rings, when she hangs up she tells them all it's NOT cancer. She tells every one they think it's stress, she maxed out her credits this semester and then Thorne. He asks her what she wants to do and she tells him she wants to feel alive. Thorne takes Elodie to the race track it's a Wednesday so no one is there. Hendrix and Locklyn alone with Kade and Malia come alone. When Thorne takes off Elodie lets out a scream, he gets up to over one hundred miles an hour in under ten seconds. Pretty soon he is pulling over and pulling her out of the car, he takes her inside the abandoned building. They begin kissing and then get physical. Then they leave the race track and head back to his apartment. He gets a message from Kade that he and Hendrix will be staying else where tonight. They go inside and start kissing, they talk about how he got into racing. He tells her what his plans are with Kade and Hendrix, she tells him it's impressive to know what you want. He tells her he's know since he was fourteen. Thorne goes down on one knee, he tells her he's been carrying this around since he was eighteen. He was going to do it on graduation night, he tells her he loves her more than anything. Living without her is hell and he doesn't want to do it again, he asks her to marry him. She tells him yes, as he slips her ring on. She asks him if this is going fast and he tells her no they've been going slow for three years. They head to his bedroom to celebrate. The last three years were just a pit stop, and now they're racing after their happy ever after. Five years later, they find out they were select to adopt a baby girl do in a few weeks. Elodie owns a boutique with Locklyn and Malia. Thorne and Elodie got married over winter break, their wedding was small with just friends and family. They ended up renting their own home closer to the outskirts of town. Locklyn moved in with Hendrix and Kade moved in with Malia. When Thorne comes in she tells him the news they have a lot to do in just a little time. They've talked about having kids but she doesn't want to pass her cancer down so they decided to adopt. Their love story has many twist and turns, but their break up was just a pit stop, they're meant to be, and she's never letting anyone break them up.

I am LOVING the world of Sequoia that Shaw Hart has created and even more so the college racing world within it. The characters and stories that she has created bring all the feels to its reader with interesting plots, easy to love characters, tons of heat, and beautiful endings. Book two is the story of high school sweethearts Thorne and Elodie getting the second chance they deserve.
Thorne and Elodie were each other’s world in high school until she broke up with him right before graduation. They are reunited when she begins attending college at the same school where he’s been for three years. He’s heartbroken and furious that she ghosted him for no reason and wants answers. It wasn’t an answer that I expected and it was heartbreaking. Once they move past it, there’s no stopping the passion between these two. Spicy scenes abound for the second half of the book, each one spicer than the one before it. Everything leads up to a beautiful ending for these two and I couldn’t have been happier with the ending that they received.

Hayes “Thorne” Hawthorne had it all. A good life, the girl of his dreams, and their future planned out. Then everything changes instantly and he is left reeling from Elodie’s singular decision. So, he moves on. Bitter and determined to find a new life. But when Elodie suddenly shows up at one of his races? He finally has the opportunity to find out why she broke up with him 2 years before.
This was a good story and the connection between Thorne and Elodie is strong. The only thing that bothered me was Elodie’s reasoning. I mean, I understand that she was trying to be selfless and to help him stay free from all of the trauma that was coming but it actually comes off more selfish than selfless. Thorne is willing to forgive all after a brief moment to comprehend the information but I think that it was a little too easy. After all, that would leave him with trauma no matter whether or not he was in her life at the time. Outside of that, I loved the story!

I read this through KU. I debated buying it but decided against it. I actually came close to not finishing but since I read the 1st book (also didn’t buy it). I did want to read about all 3 guys, so I wanted I to make sure that when I read the 3rd book I know everything that is being said. I was sooo disappointed about their 1st love scene, they had to wait for 3 years and there was NO Foreplay, I mean NONE. They had to wait for that!?! You can totally read this at work. I actually got pretty bored and then around 70ish % it got pretty hot especially at 80%—90% 🌶🔥 I was thinking to myself “it is like 2 different authors wrote this book” and then remembered there were 2 different authors, lol. Overall this book just didn’t do it for me, but that is my opinion. Obviously a lot more people enjoyed this book. It is fine to read this book once but I don’t see myself rereading it.

This is book number 2 of the Sequoia: Fast Love Racing series and focuses on Thorne and Elodie. Thorne and Elodie dated for years and were madly in love with each other until Elodie broke up with Thorne out of nowhere with no explanation and then ghosted him. For years, he has been unable and unwilling to move on. When Elodie transfers to the same college as him, he wants answers. The reasoning behind the breakup was heartbreaking all around. Thankfully, Thorne and Elodie took their second chance at a life together and ran with it. I love that their love held true even after years apart and once they talked things through they decided to fight for each other and refused to let go. This was a great story and a great addition to the series!

Eloise had decided that if she saw Thorne she needed to tell him the truth and her opportunity comes up quicker than expected. She had leukaemia and at the time her life span was uncertain. Getting over the shock and anger of not being with her Thorne admits he still loves her and she loves him.
Past plans for this loving couple are now very much in the present and definitely in the future.

The second book in Shaw Hart and Cameron Hart's most recent collaborative series, Sequoia: Fast Love Racing, is the steamy second chance romance, Pit Stop. I had to know why Elodie broke up with Hayes, and I will not spoil it. It is a good short read and it is super sweet!

Thorne and Elodie... Oh my heart! These two were so sweet. It just seemed like these two were meant to be together, so I knew there had to be something major that broke them up and when the entire truth came out.. wow.. talk about heart-wrenching! I felt so bad for these two, but watching them work through their feelings was so good and seeing their friends come together for them was great. Loved their story!.

Just a pit stop on the way to Forever!
We met Thorne and Elodie in the first book and I’ve been dying for their story. I had to know why she left him. Once their story started it all made sense. While I felt heartbroken for Thorne, you couldn’t help but understand her reasoning. Thorne knew Elodie was his forever and wasn’t gonna let a little pit stop get In the way of their forever. There was plenty of heart and heat between these two. Especially in the scene after he takes her around the track!!! Soooo good.

I loved the story. The story is cute, sweet, tragic, insta love and steamy. Thorne thought his future was all mapped out but his life goes sideways when his love Elodie breaks up with him. Three years later they run into each other and neither knows what to do. Thorne and Elodie still love each other but Thorne wants answers so he can move on. Why did Elodie break up with Thorne? Do they get their second chance together? Will they get their HEA? Great story.

Thorne and Elodie's journey of love pulled at my heartstrings. They were high school sweethearts and they had the perfect life until Elodie broke up with him. Now years later she is back and the spark is still there and Thorne is determined to find out why she disappeared. I am so glad we got both POVs even though it gave us an emotional read. I was cheering Thorne and Elodie to get their happily ever after. Pit Stop is book two and a great addition to the Fast Love Racing series. I look forward to reading the rest of the series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

When Cameron and Shaw get together you know its gonna be good. I don't think I've read a book yet that the two them have written that wasn't a instant favourite for me. This one has Thorne and Elodie, falling in love, breaking up and then not being able to move on. Elodie left when she gets scary news. The ladies have woven together a great story with amazing characters that warm your heart. This is the second book in the Sequoia: Fast Love Racing series and I can't wait for the next edition!!!.

This was an amazing second chance romance. I love second chance romance when they are done well and this was. The story was well written and had a good pace. I absolutely love these authors stories and this book does not disappoint! This instalove story is freaking adorable! It’s sweet, cute, sexy, and steamy!...I just loved the drama, steam, romance, banter, and great HEA in this book. I just wish I could give this read more than 5 stars! The story is very beautiful. I confess that I couldn't empathize with Elodia and the reasons that led her to break up with Thorne so abruptly I can understand, but not have empathy. But having that out of the way, their fresh start is beautiful and you feel the love pouring out of the pages straight into your heart. A beautiful story of second chances.

The Harts have written a well thought out book. Loved the characters of Elodie and Thorne, some hard choices has to be made while so young, unfortunately it resulted in heartbreak and turmoil. Enjoyed getting the full story from both POV as each suffered, the ending is very satisfying as they endured many twists in their love story, but were able to find one another again.

Another sweet quickie from Shaw Hart & Cameron Hart. Pit Stop is book 2 of the Sequoia Fast Love Racing series. It takes you on a second chance ride with Thorne & Elodies love story. Perfect one stop in between. Alittle drama and a whole lot of heat with a guaranteed HEA. A definite recommend for me. As always make sure your comfortable with what your reading.
