New series and it’s racing and cars!!! It’s about family lol Jt jk. Channeling my inner Dom from Fast.

Hendrix and his best friends are kings of the racing scene and enjoying the time well 2 are one is alittle broody lol. And once Hen finishes up his race he sees Locklyn in the crowd and knows that’s his woman. But alittle misunderstanding happens when some random dude calls her a bunny and he shouldn’t be around them waste of time, Hen knows this isn’t true before he can say something Locklyn already dismisses him and turns away, this doesn’t stop Hen nope he’s going to win his girl he finds out his girl is friends with another girl who broke his friends heart they get a story later.

Hen takes Locklyn on a date and shows her a wonderful time they grow closer from races and more romantic moments I can’t wait for the best friends books!!

Cute & Spicy Short Novella

The MFC and MMC meet while in college at the racetracks. He falls in love with her as soon as he sees her. He will do whatever he needs to to show her he’s crazy about her. They end up having a class together one thing leads to another and they both end up falling head over heals for one another as well as several intensely spicy scenes. This story is very cute they fall hard and fast as this is a very short read. There’s a HEA in their cute story.

WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.

Hendrix meets Locklyn when he's racing, she is with her friends and roommates. Hendrix races with his two friends and roommates, Kade and Thorne. They all are in college and Hendrix, Kade and Thorne want to open a garage once they graduate. They get invited to a race and Hendrix goes first he lets the crowd Congratulate him, but he locks eyes with Locklyn. He's never seen her before around campus, then he heads towards her. When Locklyn seen Hendrix she notices his smile is genuine, he walks towards, she turns and he's gone. When she goes to leave he is standing right next to her and she runs into him. He invites her to watch Thorne race and takes her close to the fence. Hendrix explains to Locklyn that the race he won wasn't fair and the race that Thorne is about to do isn't fair either. The guy against Thorne is going to Jump Start, jump the line before the flag is waved, so he's disqualified. After the race they walk around the farm and talk, they find a seat and sit enjoying each other's company. Someone calls Hendrix's name so he goes to find out what they want. Locklyn gets up when she notices her friend, Elodie talking to some one and she looks pissed. She heads that way and stops to tells Hendrix but the guy talking to him is referring to her as a track bunny, she can't hear what Hendrix says. But the guy tells him he can find someone else who isn't going to be clingy. Locklyn thinks she is a groupie to him, a one night stand. Locklyn walks up to Hendrix and tells him can find someone else, he runs after he as she turns to walk away. She tells him to leave her alone, he asks her to let him explain. She told him he Jump Started he lost his chance. Locklyn finds Elodie and Malia and they leave. The first day of classes Hendrix finds the guy and makes him apology to Locklyn. Hendrix tells her he'll walk her to class but then finds out they are in the same one. Then he walks her to to her class. Locklyn tells Hendrix she's not a track bunny, she doesn't do one night stands. He tells her he doesn't want a one night stand he tells her he wants her only her. He asks her to give him a second chance she tells him she'll think about it. When Elodie comes home Locklyn makes dinner, she tries to get her to open up about what happened at the race but she won't. Hendrix wakes up early heading to the campus coffee shop he picks up coffee and donuts for Locklyn. As they sit in class he watches her and studies her. They walk to their next class together talking about where they're from. He asks her if she is coming to watch him race the next day and she tells him she'll ask her friends. They all head to the races the next night, Locklyn get close when it's Hendrix's turn to race. She goes to congratulate him but her friends want to go to a party, so she tells him. He tells her he'll met her there. When he arrives he asks her to dance with him, but she notices Elodie was upset. When she finds Elodie she's been crying, Locklyn asks her if she wants to talk about it but she doesn't. They find Malia and head home, she tells Hendrix she's leaving. He asks her if he can take her to dinner and she agrees. They agree to go the next night and exchange numbers. Hendrix takes Locklyn to a nice Restaurant and they enjoy themselves. They then take a stroll through town, and they begin kissing. When they. loose themselves in each other Hendrix tells her they needs to stop before someone sees them, they'll get arrested for indecent exposure. She tells him she needs to get back home and caught up on her work. They agree to have a study date and work on a project the next night. Locklyn heads to Hendrix's apartment the next night they begin kissing as soon as he opens the door. She realizes she forgot her things to work on, he asks her if she was distracted and she tells him yes. Hendrix asked her if he can distract her more, and they kiss. He sweeps her up and carries her to his bedroom. He pleasures her, then they get physical. After he tells her to rest and then he'll get them something to eat. Locklyn asks him about his scars on his back and shoulders and he opens up to her. She apologizes for freaking out she tells him about her parents. They've been together for two weeks, back at Stud Farm for a race. The crowd goes wild when Hendrix crosses the finish line and wins the race. Before Locklyn can't get to Hendrix she notices a couple of drunk guys surround him. She hears them talking about her and notices Hendrix is pissed. She calls his name and wraps her arms around him and kisses him and tells the guys to Fuck off and glares at them. He tells her he loves her and she tells him she loves him. Hendrix puts her in his vehicle and takes off for home where they get physical. Five years later, Locklyn has a surprise for Hendrix when he comes home. They just moved into their new home a few months ago. Hendrix, Thorne and Kade all graduated three years ago, and immediate opened their shop. Locklyn graduated with Elodie and Malia about a year after the guys, they opened a boutique together. Hendrix and Locklyn were married, right after he graduated at the Stud Farm. Locklyn's brother, Vincent and his wife fly in along with Hendrix's brother Finn and wife Sylvie Fighting Tooth & Nail along with his stepsister Palmer and husband Banks Banks. Locklyn hands him the surprise and when he pulls the onesie out he pulls her into his arms and she tells him they're going to be parents. Locklyn wouldn’t trade what she has for anything, when she looks at Hendrix she know that he feels the exact same way.

Disfruté la historia de Lockley y Hendrick. Después de un malentendido, él trabaja para conseguir a la chica que robó su corazón en medio de una carrera de autos. Tenían una gran química por es me creí su amor a primera vista. Me parecieron súper lindos juntos y apasionados. Las escenas picantes... WOW.

Es un romance instantáneo en la universidad y protagonistas con una historia familiar difícil. Al ser corta no se desarrolla mucho aunque me hubiera gustado porque quería más de los protagonistas y más carreras de autos!

Me gusta cuando la autora conecta sus series y personajes, también que refleje la amistad además del amor.

Hay un epilogo a cinco años que fue muy dulce.

Locklyn had never been to a race before her two new college roommates suggested that they should go, she took one look at Hendrix and was smitten and so it appears was he until she overheard a conversation that let her know that she was nothing special. But when he keeps turning up in her lessons and the connection between them seems more real than anything in her life ever has before is she ready to give love and Hendrix a test drive or should she take the opposite road?

Hendrix spent his younger life planning to get away from his father as soon and as fast as possible and build a life that he wants. Meeting Kade and Thorne at college he knew he had made friends for life, and they have made plans to graduate and finally open a car engineering center. They have been racing at the Stud Farm Races for the past few years building up the money to create their dream. But there is another dream that Hendrix wants, one that includes a family and that is exactly what he sees the night that he meets Locklyn but when she gets the wrong idea has, he missed his chance, or can he convince her to give him another chance to prove that what they have was no false start?

This was a sweet read, the way that Hendrix talks and feels about Locklyn is intense from the word go but he is never in doubt and all he wants is to show her how he feels, but she isn’t about to just kept him walk away with her heart and makes him work for it. There are a few mentions of abuse in Hendrix’s past but no real details. Recommended 4.2* Read.

This book was so wonderful and the characters so well developed I kept forgetting that it was set as a college aged romance. Not that a college set romance is a no go for me but it definitely didn’t feel like those normally do. I fell in love with Hendrix and Locklyn right away and fell deeper in love as their story progressed.

Hendrix is a character to love from the get go. He uses his skill of race car driving to earn money to pursue his dreams after college. He wants to open a garage with his friends but doesn’t come from money. I loved that he was focused on his goals and didn’t let his success at racing go to his head and become a player as a result. This made it easy to love him and want him to be with Locklyn. A misunderstanding sets them back initially but Hendrix knows they are meant for each other so he works hard to earn her trust and her heart. When things finally get serious and the steam starts to heat up, Hendrix’s dirty talk will melt your kindle! He’s super intense but in the best way. I couldn’t get enough of him and Locklyn and loved how their story played out.

*spoilers* Hendrix does illegal car races to save up money to open his own car engineer business with his two best friends after graduating. They are close and always win. He is a little cocky, but not interested in girls so far, which all changes as soon as he lays eyes on Locklyn. After they spend some brief nice time together she overhears a conversation and thinks he sees her as a groupie and one night stand, she could not be further from the truth. Locklyn and Hendrix both left home from less than loving parents. Hendrix knows she is his future wife and chaces after her.
Hendrix is the whole package, he has the bad boy vibes and looks, but his heart is, as the word is used in the story of a golden retriever. He immediately is so sure of his love for Locklyn. He is so sensitive and mindful, some things he says touched me so deep. Locklyn is also a faithful and loyal partner. And they are hot together, a lot of sexy scenes in this story.

Hendrix and his best friends all race cars to make money while going to college. During a race at the start of a new term, Hendrix locks eyes with his future, Locklyn. He knows that she is the one that is meant to be his. And he will do whatever it takes to convince Locklyn that they are meant to be together forever.

Locklyn comes to Sequoia University to get a new start away from her social climbing family. While she does not know many people, her new roommates are welcoming and a good change from home. When they take her to a local illegal street race, she finds out that her new life might be more important than even she knew. But how is she supposed to trust someone who must be a player?

Writing duo, Shaw Hart and Cameron Hart, do what they do best in this start of a new series and that is HOT insta-love! I definitely rooted for Hendrix and Locklyn from the beginning and am glad that there is little drama that surrounds their relationship. After all, that is what their friends, Elodie and Thorne, are going to bring to the table!

Okay so this was definitely a short, insta-lust romance. It was cute and I really liked Hendrix as a character and how he just kind of knew she was it for him. I think that she definitely overreacted and honestly, if this were reality, I am not sure he would give her a second chance. And YES, HE would give HER a second chance. The book is written as if it's her giving him a second chance but honestly, she should have been more apologetic about her outburst. I think that is the thing about shorter romances though- big emotions, really fast. Not much room for apologies and explanations.

I think this series and the concept is interesting. I would like to have Thorne and Elodie's story and to understand that relationship. I also foresee a story for Malia too!

All around, a solid short romance. If you like the instant attraction story with a small hiccup and an HEA, this is your novella.

I really liked this instalove story. It was entertaining and enjoyable although it does mention former child abuse. The characters were interesting and likable. The friend group that they ended up with was pretty great. Thorne and Kade were good friends that were all too happy to tease Hendrix. Malia and Elodie were supportive but also pushed a little so that Locklyn would do things outside of her comfort zone. Locklyn and Hendrix saw each other after a race and were immediately blown away. Their mutual attraction was strong. Hendrix was instantly ready to make long term plans for their future together. His attempt at restraint was fun. There was a tiny bit of drama and angst but it resolved well. Locklyn was forgiving and kind. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Jump Start is a term I didn't know before this book, but now that I do I think the title reflects my feelings on the book.

It's a cute college romance, but there's no real conflict so it felt like it started to drag. Started too hard and fast and ended up stalling. AKA a Jump Start.

I just wished there was more plot/conflict. They get together so quickly, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, but nothing happened. And even though this story sets up the next two in the series, it's easy to figure out what happens. So much of the other characters were mentioned that their conflict felt more central than the main two. It was like reading a story from a side character's point of view.

It's not bad. Just fluff.

This is book number 1 of the Sequoia: Fast Love Racing series and focuses on Hendrix and Locklyn. Hendrix didn’t have the best upbringing so he got as far away from his hometown as he could get. When he got to Sequoia university, he and his 2 friends started to make a name for themselves in the local racing world. Hendrix was completely focused on his dreams of opening up his own shop with his friends and doing whatever he had to do to make that happen. When he first sets his sights on Locklyn, he knows for a fact that he just met the woman of his dreams and is determined to reach all of his goals with her by his side. I loved everything about this story! Hendrix knew what he wanted and never once wavered in his pursuit. This was a great story and a great introduction to this series!

Just another perfect little quick read. Jump Start is book 1 of the Sequoia Fast Love Racing series. Set in the same small town as the Stud Farm in the same timeline. It follows Hendrix & Locklyn’s forever story. No worries if you haven’t read the Stud Farm series yet. You can start here and be all good. This is a college aged, sweet heat, insta love story. Locklyn & Hendrix are roughly the same age, both out of towners. Both coming from different but equally empty childhoods. If your looking for a spicy but sweet read this is for you. A quick & easy read. No chilfhangers, guaranteed HEA. A definite recommend for me. As always make sure your comfortable with what your reading. There is some mention of past child abuse, both physical & mental. Happy Reading Book Besties 💙

This was a fantastic instalove romance. I have been looking forward to this series ever since reading Revved Up and this first book surely didn’t disappoint. This writing duo has a way of capturing my attention in everything they write and this was no exception. I loved the chemistry between Hendrix and Locklyn, it was clear from the beginning and Hendrix wasn’t going to let anything get in the way of his happiness with Locklyn. This story also made me so curious about Thorne and Elodie and I hope we get their story soon.

This was a very simple sweet story. Very low to no angst and it was just lovely, lunch time read. Our Hero and heroine lock eyes, hearts and sparks everywhere....he walks towards her to meet her. When they are alone and start to chat to get to know each other after he won the race, an asswipe said something stupid and gave the h the wrong impression of out H Hendrix. Locklynn leaves hurt and upset, but Hendrix looks for her on campus to clear up the misunderstanding and that is the story. Sweet, simple and just what I needed!

Overhearing part of a conversation, Locklyn comes to a conclusion that Hendrix isn't looking for anything full term with her, which couldn't be further from the truth. Will Hendrix be able to get to her in time? Or will he lose the woman he is coming to love over a misunderstanding?

I will be the first to admit that racing cars are not my usual genre. This book changed that for me! Hendrix is a car racer while attending college and trying to save for his future with a couple of his friends. He came from a less than wonderful family. The first time he saw Locklyn, he knows that she is the girl for him. Locklyn overhears Hendrix explaining her away, so Hendrix has some groveling to do!
This book was so much fun to read.

What a great start to a new series! I already cannot wait to read more! The storyline was amazingly good and I couldn't put it down, I read it all in one go! I really enjoyed both main characters, and watching their relationship grow on the pages, every interaction better than the last. The storyline was super good too, I couldn't wait to see what would happen next and I couldn't wait to get to the end to see how everything worked out. I cannot wait for the rest of this series... the countdown begins!.

What a great start to this new series! Hendrix and Locklyn met at an illegal race where he was the star of the show. They hit it off immediately, but then she overheard a conversation where things seemed to be one-sided for her, so she pushed him away. Watching him grovel to earn a second chance was great, and seeing these two work things out was wonderful. Great short read!.

I love the books this author writes and this didn't dissapoint. Cozy read, to spice up your afternoon. It was sweet with no drama and those smexy scenes are bonus point. Loved the couple and their cute love story and the secondary characters were there to keep me waiting for their hea. All in all this book had it all romance, spice and that happily ever after.

This was a wonderful book. I really enjoyed this short escape that Hendrix and Locklyn story gave me. These two are drawn together but there is a small misunderstanding and now Hendrix has to prove his intentions with Locklyn. Besides a little bit of drama in the beginning, these two have a really sweet book and a wonderful HEA. I can't wait for the rest of this series.

I absolutely loved this one! Nothing better than a man who isn't ashamed of loving his woman, and who is willing to fight for her. Hendrix loves Locklin upon first meeting her. Locklin likes him right away, but is a little more cautious. Their growth and passion together is incredibly hot. I cannot wait for the rest of the friendship stories!

Hendrix likes fast cars, and besides being this is his passion, it was the way he found to escape an abusive father when he went to college. Locklyn came from NY, where she had a family that never showed love. The two meet at a race and just like racing, their love happened super fast. A love that started fast but will last forever.

Locklyn & Hendrix

What do you do when you meet your soul mate but then you screw it up minutes later. Well if your Hendrix, you woo. You woo her until she realizes she’s the only thing you see and think about and want in your life. Hendrix and Locklyn were so perfect together. I love how he would bring her snacks to class and how devoted to her he was. There was also plenty of spice to keep you turning the pages!!! Can’t wait to find out Thorne and Elodie’s story!

Both of theses characters are too cute and inexperienced. There is a misunderstanding that has Hendrix moving fast to fix.

Pick this up if you want a quick happy read. The two main characters in this book are so wonderful. Hendrix & Locklyn are both such sweet individuals. A misunderstanding when they first meet keeps them apart but it's quickly resolved. It's great to see their relationship grow and blossom. The epilogue is super cute. I can't wait for the next book to see what the drama is between Elodie and Thorne.

Hendrix and Locklyn meet when her friends convince her to go to the race track with them. One look across the track and Hendrix falls for her. When she overhears something about him things take an interesting turn and he really has to work to get their happily ever after. Jump Start is book one and a great start to the Sequoia Fast Love Racing series. I enjoyed their love story and look forward to reading the next book in the series.
