Summary

This short manuscript is more of a critique of the book The 1619 Project. It divides the book in sections and talks about what was good, what drew the most uproar from readers, what needed ammending.

It gives the reader the sense of angst of the book, points to some good additions to the original book, but in no way is the an outline of summary of the book.

I am currently reading The 1619 Project, which is a chock full of historical nuggets, deeply researched and heavily annotated, book. Just get the book....the ammended, most recent release, and get your digital pen, or yellow marker, or finger to working and dive in. It is a wonderful read. I love it! I think it's about can time somebody wrote this!

A Synopsis and Critique of the 1619 Project

Although the title reads "summary", this "quick read" would be more accurately described as a synopsis and soft critique of "The 1619 Project".

There are, of course, a fairly generous handful of "hard critiques" out there (some of book length) that rake the main assumptions and the details of "The 1619 Project" over the coals -- so this author's mostly positive takr is welcome.

Recommended for those considering purchase or loan of the original volume as a supplement, not a replacement.
