" Now or Never " A fed-up wife and mother goes on strike with drastic consequences. Jennifer is fed up with her role as a servant to her husband and three children. A comfortable lifestyle in Minnesota lake country should be delightful. It is, for her family members. For her, it's become a tenure of never-ending, unpaid domestic labor. So, she impulsively goes on strike. Her run to the north woods, toddler son in tow, begins a series of unexpected and life-changing events. Her two-year-old son disappears from the campsite on the second day. She flirts with adultery as the sheriff on the missing boy's case provides empathy, and more. The tsunami of life events continues as her entitled teens back home show their true colors, and her condescending husband admits to an affair. This needed journey from home and marriage provides a chance to recover who she expected to be at this stage of her life. Learn to admire this strong woman whose courage restores her self-worth. Despite the challenges and angst her actions cause, going on strike was the right thing to do. A must read for every woman who's ever been tempted to leave it all behind. And for every man who wants to better understand the woman he lives with. A resourceful and self-reliant female protagonist, as well as fascinating detail of her era and locale. Not only does the story have conflict and tension, but also tells of finding love and self-worth while overcoming social inequities.

Now or Never

What would you do if you were stuck in a marriage that wasn’t what you thought it would be? Jennifer is grappling with a loveless marriage, two teens who are misbehaving, and a toddler who is her whole world. One day she snaps and takes off to camp in the woods with her young son Charlie. The twist her life takes is the change she needs to get her life back.
The way Jennifer has a connection with the sheriff who finds her son shows that she is ready for something new in her life. Without her husband.
I sat and read this book in one afternoon. It left me wanting more. And that makes it such a compelling book.

Started and finished this book in one day. An easy read set in northern Minnesota. I think this is a story that many moms can relate to at some point in their parenting days and marriages.

Know your worth

This book shares the experience of an average woman in the family. Practically portrays her world. The woman in the home does all the chores and she's hardly seen. More often than not she puts her dream on hold. I like that the woman in this book took a step back from all of it and allowed herself to live and breathe till she's acknowledged. I recommend this book to everyone willing to learn a thing or two about family hustle, work and life balance. I rate it 5 stars because it is a well written no errors and absolutely worth it.
