Although the three stories comprising this anthology are widely different, each story is well crafted and a delight to read. From long time lovers celebrating an anniversary to opposites attracting at work and two rich men meeting for an occasional tryst, each setting is public and yet still private. These settings afford a thrill for the men without getting anyone arrested or skirting the line of too much as the stories offer developed characters and fully realized short stories rather than an emphasis on the steamy and exciting sex.

In Tryst in Park, Mark is celebrating his one year anniversary with his lover Sam. Sam has gone to great lengths to make the celebration memorable, in several ways. These lovers are wonderful from Mark’s blogging to his casual acceptance of his first gay relationship. Whether he’s bi or gay, Mark doesn’t stress the labels or confusion and instead focuses on how he’s in love for the first time. The easy companionship between Sam and Mark is evident but never loses that spark of chemistry and connection. The public scene at the end is steamy and romantic, fitting well with the couple’s relationship and tone of the story. Well written with instantly likable characters, this story sets the tone for the anthology.

When Benny Met Anthony is a work place opposites attract fun story. Benny is incredibly shy to the point that he’s struggling through the agonizing days until he can put in a request to telecommute from home. So when his boss asks him to set up a computer configuration for a new hire in finance, Benny almost crawls under his cubicle in despair. When the perfect Anthony starts appearing everywhere during the day, Benny can’t decide if he’s cursed or in heaven with fantasy material. The interaction between Anthony and Benny is hot, funny, and enjoyable from their opposite personalities to instant chemistry. The public sex scene in the parking garage has an added fun touch to the incredibly hot scene and certainly shows why these two men are suited for each other. The emphasis on the day’s events and characters give an enjoyable and detailed story.

Finally, rounding out the solid anthology is DeLuxe. A fabulous short story that brings the essence of luxury and European setting into soft and lovely focus with well written, descriptive prose. Thomas is the more thorough character of the two with his occasional lover Anthony really a side note, but the setting and sensuality of the story make up for anything the characters may lack. The rich, earthy smells are conveyed within the finer details and although this isn’t a happy ever after romance, the characters and setting are very alluring and charming. The author has clearly done her research and the story greatly benefits from such. The final public sex scene was a perfect balance of sensuality and explicit details, leaving a well rounded ending to an enjoyable and entertaining romance anthology.

Each of the three stories combined to create a wonderfully romantic anthology while maintaining a unique and interesting edge. Although there were clear editing errors from the mistaken use of character names, punctuation, and even repeated words, these should have been caught. Such mistakes were obvious and glaring given the lovely writing and prose and thankfully didn’t take away from the enjoyment of the stories. However, given the quality of the offerings such mistakes shouldn’t have been present. Editing problems aside, these stories will appeal to the sensual romantic who enjoys a bit of a thrill with some risque public settings. While I may have a slight favorite, each were well written and easily recommended. Be sure to pick up this anthology ~ you won’t be disappointed.
