Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky composed short stories, essays, and journals. His literature explores humans in the troubled political, social, and spiritual atmospheres of 19th-century and engages with a variety of philosophies and themes. People most acclaimed his Demons(1872) .

Many literary critics rate him among the greatest authors of world literature and consider multiple books written by him to be highly influential masterpieces. They consider his Notes from Underground of the first existentialist literature. He is also well regarded as a philosopher and theologian.

The story “The Dream…” is a really good encapsulation of FD’s philosophy, that suffering is the basis of the human experience, yet that is what gives our experience beauty. Through suffering, we are able to know love and happiness, as without it, we would have no reference point of how to love or how to judge how happy we are

"Lo principal es amar al prójimo como a uno mismo, eso es lo principal y lo es todo, no hace falta nada más: al instante encontraríamos cómo organizar el paraíso."

Me parece muy pertinente, por un clima generacional compartido, pensar en este relato desde el incipiente existencialismo de Søren Kierkegaard. La famosa 'caída' es el sueño del protagonista, que lo lleva a una conclusión polémica para la época: no hay que depender demasiado de la ciencia. La razón corrompe fácilmente al ser humano. Desde la mirada de un autor muy comprometido con un realismo católico, la respuesta al problema del logos está, nuevamente, en la fe.

يتعلقّ أحدنا بكتاب ويحبه بدرجة من اللامعقولية. إنه ينظر للكلمات لشيء من التبجيل أكثر من اللازم. ليس لأن الكاتب تحدث عما به بطريقة أفضل منه، وهذا بالعادة ما يكونه دوستويفسكي، لكن على الأغلب أن الكتاب وصل إليه، حرك شيئًا ما اكتنفه الجمود منذ فترة.
هذا التعلق الذي يجعل من كتاب بسيط، على الأرجح ليس أفضل ما كتبه الكاتب، ما يشبه قوة لا ينفك منها القاؤيء.
إنما مثل هذا التعلق، هو ما أحبه في القاريء. الذي لا يجد حتى التعابير المناسبة ليصف هذا التعلق :)

تمكّن دوستويفسكي مني مرتين. في هذه الرائعة التي لا تنسى، وكلما مر ذكراها قرأتها بسرعة. لدرجة لم أعد أتذكر كم من مرة قرأتها. وكم من مرة ستبقى في داخلي.

From each of the four stories—The Dream of a Ridiculous Man, The Meek One, Bobok and A Christmas Party and a Wedding—relies multiple themes. Appreciating life and realizing that we have the agency to contribute actively in making our ideal life come true, understanding perspectives of a man in love—or in deep case of obsession in control and power over the one we love, the obnoxious entitlement of worldly status and possessions, and a calculated cunning man strategizing his future.

It was a cool short read but nothing really struck me personally. The Meek One sure is interesting to talk about, though.

En notant chacune de ces histoires autant abracadabrantesques les unes que les autres, j’en suis venue à la note de 7,07/10 ( à revoir car mon appréciation après réflexion mériterait de monter la note)
Certaines nouvelles ne tiennent qu’en 4 pages, mais voilà tout le génie de Dostoïevski, nous mettre en haleine pour 4 pages de pure histoire.
Certaines ont un fort potentiel mais trop mal exploité à mon goût. Et ne vous fiez pas à la déception de fin de lecture d’une nouvelle, vous l'apprécierez en y repensant plusieurs jours après !!!!

در كل كتاب خوبي بود مخصوصا داستانهاي روياي ادم مضحك و در كام تمساح.
در كل كتاب عقايد داستايفسكي در مورد انسانيت ، وضعيت اجتماعي و ديگر چيزها به وضوح مشهود است.
