It’s the perfect opportunity for revenge… Because of the infamous reputations of her mother and aunt, Kate was treated horribly throughout her youth by the locals in her hometown. She leaves in order to make a successful life for herself, only returning ten years later, ready to exact her revenge. But soon after arriving, she meets Jack, a handsome, charming man who seems out of place there. The two fall quickly into a heated affair, though Kate has no idea that Jack is in fact one of the people she’d planned to get revenge on…

Not for the faint hearted

This isn't your usual harlequin.
This is about revenge, sex, love, and betrayal, I'm sure there are others that I can't think of at the moment.
It is very steamy and it's story is unique, that to me it stands out from other harlequin and I really enjoyed it.

The story follows the famous revenge plot trope but it’s turned on its head a little. The heroine is the one out for revenge and it’s against the hero’s family, though he sort of understands and is aware of her plan. While it’s innovative a story, there are some points that do feel a bit forced and hence the rating.
