Collision Course
Jasmine, Toya and Chante are best friends. Well, technically, Toya is the glue that keeps this friendship together. Jasmine is in quite a dilemma; she's in love with Josh, a married man who has told her he refuses to leave his wife and kids for her. Brian, her boyfriend, a nerd, is the ideal man. He loves her unconditionally. Pregnant, Jasmine is uncertain which man is the father but her heart is screaming Josh. As she tries to convince Josh that they are meant to be, Brian is making all of her dreams come true. Can Jasmine keep her secret and her man?
Toya has her hands full with work. Unlike her friends, she doesn't "date" for free. Toya has had her share of poverty and once she learned the secret to success, she's been selling it to the highest bidder. As she watches her best friends’ lives tumble out of control, Toya finds herself moving in uncharted territory as she's met a man who is not wealthy but incredibly handsome and treats her like a queen. Can Toya free herself from her past while having it all?
Deeply in love with her husband, Chante is fortunate to have a good man. They aren't P-Diddy rich, but she's rocking a fab life. If only his bedroom skills could match. She's tried everything imaginable and when all else fails, Chante finds herself caught in a dangerous game of lies, lust and sex. Will she stop before she wrecks her marriage?
'Secret Betrayals' by Harriet Wilson is an okay read. Like the character dynamics, the story is full of drama, and holds your attention easily. Enjoyable, the story does have some questionable parts and the editing is in need of tweaking. I also don't like that the book didn't end forcing readers to wait for a sequel.
