When zoo animals have more of a love life than you do, there’s a problem.

Garrett is in charge of the zoo while his boss is on sabbatical. They have more bills than income, and he’s barely keeping things afloat, despite working more hours than should be possible in a day. Now, he’s got to babysit a reporter, and he can only hope it will bring the zoo enough attention to keep them going just a little longer.

Issy is still smarting from being dumped (on New Year’s Day! Who does that?) when she’s given her Valentine’s Day writing assignment from the document the love lives of the animals at the local zoo.

Working together to save the zoo, Issy and Garrett are forced to realize that birds do it, bees do it, and love is something that just happens in the wild.

I personally loved this story. What’s not to love? There’s quirky characters, animals, love and more than one mention of cloacas lol.

A love story that includes the classic assumptions and miscommunications that lead to more drama, but in the end a happy, touching story about believing in yourself, not settling for anyone who doesn’t believe you’re of “high enough calibre”, and embrace your weird!

This is a fun, entertaining read. Garrett and Issy are intriguing, relatable, complex, strong, smart, interesting, entertaining characters. The path to their HEA was not easy but was entertaining to read. These two are fun to spend time with. The secondary characters – especially the animals – added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. I love the friend aspect of this story and the role it plays. The story is easy to read and get into.

Always knew being a journalist would be cut throat. But nothing says in your face like tall, smart, and cuddly. The lunch bunch do it again. Every girl needs her group. So adorable and just love it. Gives a whole new thought about zoo visits.

I really liked this book. Issy was so sweet. Garrett was such a good man. I hate when other people insert themselves in things they shouldn't, and those two should had just talked to each other
