After nearly twenty-five years of marriage, Vanessa Viatto found herself alone. Her life had been turned upside down; she was a middle-aged woman whose husband left her for his young assistant. David Viatto’s betrayal left his wife with a shattered self-esteem and unsatisfied desires. Vanessa was lonely and searching for love, and that search led her to find intimacy with strangers. Through her sordid encounters, she discovered a darkness that dwelled within her; a wild animal that needed to be tamed. Little did she know that her hunger would lead to the emergence of a serial killer. After the death of a prominent attorney with whom she enjoyed a one-night stand, Vanessa became the prime suspect in his murder. Alec Johansson’s death was the beginning of many unanswered questions for Vanessa. Was the killer stalking her? Was she going to be the murder’s next victim? Who was it that killed the men that crossed her path?
