Jaylynn Darcy is not a member of the Buffy generation, but she certainly has the vampire-hunting In seven years of devoted vigilante hunting, she's only let one vampire get away. Which wouldn't be so bad, if she didn't do it again, and again, and again. But the elusive (and attractive) vampire Ryan is the least of her problems, now that an irritating boy named Aden has showed up, claiming to be an Angel and acting more like a devil than anything else. And Aden's appearance would even be bearable, if he didn't scare her mom so much.Jaylynn is about to discover the inhabitants of Hell, which wouldn’t be so bad, except that they already know about her—and that is something that no mortal wants to hear. She’s never heard a word against an Angel before, but Jaylynn is about to discover that Angels don’t always play nice. The first time Jaylynn met her best friend, Pete, it was a rainy night in New York City and she was watching a flying man blast Pete’s wings off. Pete has never been “normal,” per say. But now he has started acting really weird; he claims that Aden is a member of a Court of Angels located in Hell, and that he (Pete) is the servant of Queen Saria—but what Pete calls Saria's "noble intentions" sound more like the makings of a cult than anything else.Which apparently they are.Every second Jaylynn spends with Aden pulls her deeper into the web of Hell, and everything she sees there makes her like it less and less. But now that she knows what she knows, there is no going back.
