4.5 'Trust fall' Stars!

K. Bromberg is back in 2023 with a brand-new series and of course, I didn’t even doubt for a second, she started it with a beautiful first installment. If you are in the mood for a single dad, forced proximity plus a little bit of suspense romance, you are in for a treat with this one. Kristy will make you fall in love with this adorable family and how the two main characters find it impossible to ignore their feelings for one another.
So, as I said, Until You is the first novel in Bromberg’s new series called The Redemption. This one is focused on Crew Madden, a single dad recovering from a traumatic work event who is determined to give the best life to his twins (especially after their mother leaves them) and Tennyson West, his mysterious tenant who is only looking to start over and be free. And what starts as what seems to be a summer fling, turns into so much more when feelings get in the way.
They’re exactly what I needed.
What I need.
A simple reminder of what matters the most.
A reminder that I’m alive for a reason.
I cannot say this enough times but I really love K. Bromberg’s writing. My attention always gets caught on the first page and her characters are just so easy to fall in love with. Also, this one is all about family and I am a sucker for that! I love a man who simply adores his daughters and Crew is exactly that, him, Addy and Paige are bloody adorable. And together with Tennyson, they make such a great match. I loved them together as a couple and as a family. Of course, they also happen to have burning HOT chemistry and a whole array of feelings that made me love them even more. They sure deserved the beautiful love story Kristy wrote!
Loving Crew Madden is one of the easiest things I’ve ever had the pleasure of doing.
Therefore, I am rating Until You with 4.5 STARS because this book made me laugh, cry, swoon and everything in between! I loved this new family so much. Crew and Tenny make such an amazing couple and together with Addy and Paige, they just melted my heart. I don’t know exactly where the series is going next but I can assure you, I cannot wait for whatever is coming our way. Well done, Kristy!

🎧🎧AUDIO REVIEW🎧🎧
Okay, this is a good story, but the execution was incredibly anticlimactic. So much so that 24 hrs after finishing the audio I am wondering why exactly the *suspense* behind Tennyson's past was written the way it was.
I'll explain this more when I don't have a headache lol

Okay, it's been a few weeks and I've had time to absorb so ...
I didn’t feel a connection to Crew and his past circumstance and I *think* that’s mainly because of Blake Lockheart’s narration. I’m not saying he’s a bad narrator, and honestly, he might be, I don’t have enough experience with him to say that, but this narration felt flat to me and Crew’s past is anything but flat. Mix that in with Tennyson's circumstance and the story should have been sparking all over the place and I just didn’t feel it. I loved Samantha Brentmoor a lot and appreciated how she brought to life Tennyson’s reality so vividly. I felt every aspect of Tennyson’s life, which was the saving grace for me with this listening experience.
Unfortunately, my lost connection didn’t just stop with the narration, but it flowed deep into the storyline. Tennyson’s past not only has defined and shaped the person she is today, but it also is a past that’s not really in the past. It’s a dramatic and suspenseful part of the story as a whole and it is developed that way, like a crescendo, but then we reach the end(ish) of our story and …. Nothing. Okay, not nothing exactly, but why make the choice of having this suspenseful part of a person’s past be very prevalent in her present if you’re not going to give it at least a somewhat triumphant end? It was built and built and built and then … [end scene] *sigh* very anticlimactic and disappointing. I’m not going to say this story should have been written this way or that way because I’m not a writer and it’s not my story to tell. All I can say is how I felt while reading and how I ultimately felt at the end.
As I said in the beginning, this is a *good* storyline that for me, was going really well until it wasn’t and the let down of when it wasn’t really took a hit to my overall listening experience. Lastly, this is one of those times where if you ask me to recommend a format for this story, I’d tell you to read it before listening to it. The struggles of the overall storyline will of course still be there, but my troubles where piled on by the lack of passion from the narration. I experienced this story both ways thanks to Valentine PR & Kindle Unlimited and if you were to ask me if I recommend Until You, I’d say yes, cautiously (lol) and I’d tell you to get the ebook before the audiobook if you had that choice.
That’s it. Those are my many cents. Don’t spend them all at once!

Okay - this book came out of left field for me. I just needed something to listen to while I was doing house chores and the next thing I knew... bam. Done in 24 hours. 🫣 My bad.
Anyway, this ticked everything off of my favorites list:
- Small Town
- Hot Single Dad (to twin 11 yr old girls - cuteeee)
- He's Law Enforcement going through PTSD
- She's running from her ex-druglord husband and in witness protection (yikes!)
- Steamy Open Doors (and quite a few of them)
My only grip is merely that I wanted more heart dropping thrills. I realized after the fact that this book is listed as romance and not romance triller so I really can't be disappointed but dang - would it have been perfect if there was just a bit more.
All in all, going down the rabbit hole of this author and can't wait to snag the next book of her from the library. 💕

"It's time to live again..."
I adore K. Bromberg's writing!!! I love her everyday heroes!!!
And I loved "Until You" so much!!!
It was a small town, second chance love story that had the ability to make you fall...
And I just trusted Kristy and I fell...
I fell for Crew and Tenny... I fell for Crew's twins... I fell for Redemption Falls!!!
And I am waiting impatiently for more stories from there!!!
"I'm starting to learn that Crew Madden is nothing like most men..."
Crew was a father of twins girls and a police officer... His life turned upside down the last one year and a half... He was left alone to take care of his girls, while something ugly happened in the line of duty which left him walking in a thin rope!!!
They just needed a change of scenery to recover from the ugliness that had consumed their lives lately and what a better way than for him to return back to Redemption Falls!!!
What Crew never wanted was to become a landlord to a woman that was making his heart beating in a wild tune!!!
"There's a reason she's here in Redemtion Falls. Just like there's a reason I'm here.
I guess we're all escaping something in our lives at some point."
Tenny was a woman that was hiding from her past...
She was living a peaceful and content life in a small cottage in a small town and even though it was different from the life she was used to, she was loving it!!!
But Tenny, never stopped looking behind her shoulder and to be afraid that her old life will catch up with her!!!
And then her new landlord came into the picture, along with his twin adorable girls and Tenny started to laugh again...
She started to want a life, but that was a very dangerous thing to want...
"It's crazy to think of how alone I was but didn't even realize it myself until I came here. Until him."
I liked Crew and Tenny very much!!! Their relationship was so effortless!!!
And the cherry on the top was two eleven year old girls that was spicing up their lives!!!
I loved the dynamic between these four...
I liked how they became each other's world and my heart was aching when they were feeling that their lives were coming to a dead end...
Their demons were unbareable from time to time, but if they were together and true to themselves, they could bypass everything!!!

He is over-the-top incredible in every sense of the word."

I've been lucky with my small town novels this month!
Usually they're the same old recycled plot, but I kinda of loved the flow of this one!
Crew is a police officer/single dad and Tenny is a romance book editor/former ballerina. There's nothing in common between them, besides their need for a fresh start, to heal their emotional wounds.
Their connection and chemistry is really intense, and they're carefree around each other, like they're both starting to live the life they deserve, after being in the dark for awhile.
There's also a bit of "Olsen's twins" playing matchmaker that is both cute and funny.
This whole book gives you hope of better days, of trust and recovery, of love and family and I kinda of love it!
The narration was good, which helped, even if I pictured Crew with a stronger and rougher voice.

Usually they're the same old recycled plot, but I kinda of loved the flow of this one!
Crew is a police officer/single dad and Tenny is a romance book editor/former ballerina. There's nothing in common between them, besides their need for a fresh start, to heal their emotional wounds.
Their connection and chemistry is really intense, and they're carefree around each other, like they're both starting to live the life they deserve, after being in the dark for awhile.
There's also a bit of "Olsen's twins" playing matchmaker that is both cute and funny.
This whole book gives you hope of better days, of trust and recovery, of love and family and I kinda of love it!
The narration was good, which helped, even if I pictured Crew with a stronger and rougher voice.
Can't wait for the next book, if that end was giving the right clues 😂

It’s been a bit since I’ve read a K.Bromberg story, and I really enjoyed this one.
The set up was great, a wonderful meet cute. I laughed and swooned, and I realized I’m a sucker for cute kid moments and this had plenty.
If you love small town, single dad, you’ll really enjoy this audio.

Until You is a small town/single dad romance with a side of suspense that takes the reader on a journey about finding a fresh start after a trauma, whether it be a physical one, or the emotional scars that alter a person after they’ve left a painful situation. Crew moves his twin girls to Redemption Falls after being injured in the line of duty and having his ex-wife abandon their family for a younger man. Once there, he meets Tennyson, his gorgeous tenant, who has fear in her eyes at times and clearly harbors many secrets. Despite both of them having enough baggage to fill a 747, they are drawn to each other like a moth to a flame. Can they heal themselves enough to build a lasting connection? Or, will whatever Tenny’s running from ruin their chance at at a happily ever after?
I was hooked right away by the top notch world building in this book. The characters are so authentic and relatable. From Chapter 1 on, the relationship between Crew and his daughters, Paige and Addy was awe-inspiring—cute and funny, loving and supportive, emotionally true. The “trust fall” will stick with me for a long time. I also appreciate the way his PTSD was portrayed and not brushed aside. My dad suffered from it due to his military service, and it’s not something that just goes away after a few weeks. While Crew’s nightmares make for emotional scenes, it brought so much to the book and his growth as a person and with Tenny. I also loved the suspense angle regarding what Tenny was running from, although at times I was getting impatient waiting to find out more information! 😂 Honestly, I enjoyed everything about this book— the relationship Tenny developed with Addy and Paige, how funny the twins were, the super hot chemistry between Crew and Tenny, and the plot twists that I wasn’t expecting!! I can’t wait for more from Redemption Falls! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: Man, K. Bromberg nailed this one. I’m not surprised. I’ve never given one of her books less than a 5-star rating, and I have certainly read A LOT of them.
Crew and Tenny’s story have the reader so much. A perfect single dad trope, with two beautiful daughters who made me laugh throughout the book. A strong female MC that is locked up like a vault and needs someone to break down her walls. And Crew Madden… absolute perfection… written with such vulnerability he absolutely had to be fiction.
Until You kept my attention page after page. The tension was through the roof. Bromberg wrote both POVs and the character’s feelings so well, it felt like you were there in that quirky small town with them. Combining all of my favorite tropes into one and you’ve got a recipe for success! (And I hope some more novels… because it feels like that’s the next logical Redemption step forward.

I went into this book blind and really enjoyed it !!!
Crew and his twin daughters move to the small town of Redemption Falls for the summer to recover from a traumatic event. Once there, he meets his gorgeous and mysterious new neighbor Tenny, who is renting a small cottage on the same property. Tenny is in Redemption Falls hiding from her past and like Crew, is not looking for love. Despite this, the two form a relationship and learn how to trust and confide in each other with the help of two meddling 11-year-olds.
Crew and his two daughters made this book for me. Their relationship was so open, tender and loving, and I couldn’t help but swoon and smile every time they made appearances. Tenny was a guarded heroine who’s storyline added the perfect amount of suspense. I was flipping the pages eager to see what brought her to Redemption Falls and whether or not she will open her secrets and emotional baggage up to Crew. With regards to the romance, I felt there were a lot of jumps in the timeline and not enough scenes where we saw the relationship between the two main characters progress. I was all in for the steamy scenes but wished for more conversations early on. The ending definitely made up for what the lack in the beginning.

This is the first book in Bromberg’s The Redemption series and what a way to kick it off! I devoured this book in just a couple of days and want more!
It is a single dad, forced proximity, small town romance with all the feels. It will have you grinning and also keep you on your toes with the hint of mystery Bromberg has included.
I thought it was very well written and the plot line was great. Crew was swoon-worthy and Tennyson was as sweet as can be (with a hint of mystery to her!).
This one was a 4/5 ⭐️ for me and I cannot wait to read more. While this is part of The Redemption series, it can be read as a stand-alone as well!

Until you was my first contact with K. Bromberg writing, and will not be the last, for sure. K Bromberg has a fluid, cohesive, coherent, brilliant writing. I finished read Until You in less than a day.
Tennyson was an amazing character, I loved her to pieces. She was really amazing! I loved how strong she was. It was amazing to read her journey.
Crew was an amazing character as well. I loved to see how an amazing father he was to his twins girls. He deserves all the happiness and all the love. I love him so much!
Crew and Tennyson relationship was everything to me. I loved all of their scenes together, they had such an amazing chemistry. All of their domestic scenes were amazing to read, I enjoyed all of them.

When Crew and his girls show up for the summer in Redemption Falls, it's just what they all need. A summer of fun, friends and, if Crew can keep his hands to himself, his beautiful tenant, Tenny.
I really liked this romance. Both MC are fun, flirty and have pasts that they won't let them define them.
When things come back to haunt Tenny, she knows that she can't put her new found friends/loves in harms way and so she knows that she'll have to make sure that nothing can get to them. Crew knows that something or someone haunts Tenny, but she won't open up about it.

Until You by K. Bromberg was a small-town single dad romance that squeezed my heart in all the best ways and delivered all the feels. This was book one in her new Redemption Hills series, and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Crew and Tennyson both have so many emotional obstacles to overcome, but with the help of two meddling tween twins, and learning to trust and confide in each other, love truly conquers all.
Samantha Brentmoor and Blake Lockheart narrate this audiobook, and I loved how well their voices complimented each other. Samantha’s performance of Tennyson’s skittish, yet caring, kind, and loving persona was simply spot-on and had me completely entranced in the story. Plus, Samantha’s ability to bring to life not one but two tween girls was both amusing and amazing! Blake is a new to me narrator, and I loved how he portrayed Crew’s painful past, his dedication to his daughters, and his budding love for Tennyson. The slow burn simmering chemistry between these two is HOT.
Overall, I love this book! If you are a fan of a small-town romance with a hot tattooed single dad, a charismatic book editor, two witty twin girls, a purrfect cat, vegetarian lasagna, new beginnings, small-town gossip, pool parties, handyman work, slow-burn steamy times, a little bit of danger, healing from the past, and a HEA that will make a trust fall into your heart, then you will love Crew and Tennyson’s story. Until You is the story of two people on the run from their lives. Crew's wife has left him, and he is on leave from his job as a police officer after a traumatic event. Tennyson, Tenny, is hiding away from her previous life. These two try to fight the feelings, but we all know how that ends up!Kids in a romance are hit or miss for me. Sometimes they are bratty or filled with trauma that requires a lot of attention. Crew's girls were great-sassy and enjoyable. They are not toddlers but preteens so that adds to their sass as well. And he is a great dad! Both Crew and Tenny have heartbreaking pasts and its makes you want the best for them both. They are great together but they go into this thinking it is just temporary. So, that adds to the tension of the story for sure. Tenny's past could put them in danger and she doesn't want to risk Crew or the girls.
This story is all about the "trust fall" for all of them! Wonderful characters and a truly delightful romance! Just the right mix of tension, steam, and heart. I just loved it!

Crew Madden needs to get away from the hectic life the city brings. He moves with his daughter’s to the small town of Redemption Falls in hopes to make a fresh start. He has no others intentions than to care for his girls, but when his new tenant rents the cottage on the Madden property he never imagined she needed him as much as he needed her.
Tennyson West moved to Redemption Falls to start over and put her past behind her as best she can. She wasn’t looking for love or expecting to find it in someone where love wasn’t even on his radar. Not only did she fall for him but also his daughter’s.
Tenny and Crew are both trying to move on from horrible pasts. They had no idea that they were exactly what the other needed. They shared a profound connection and confided in each other by opening up to one another and being there for each other.
Until You was a sweet small town romance that brought the feels. A beautifully emotional and hopeful story about starting over and having the ability to trust again. I can’t wait for more in The Redemption series.

This is the type of literature gold that I've come to expect and love from K.Bromberg. She made me love tropes that I'm not the biggest fan of: single dad, small town, forced proximity. But LOVE IT, I did!
Tennyson and Crew's story was a breath of fresh air from my every day life. Their story sucked me, pulled on my heartstrings and didn't want to let go. I had a VERY HARD time setting this book down because I just wanted to know where it would go next. I ADORED Tenny and Crew's chemistry. It was flawless, seamless, and undeniable from the very beginning and throughout the book. They were fun and silly with each other and I found myself laughing right along with them while reading. If the cover didn’t make me fall in love with Crew Madden, the book certainly did.
He’s practically perfect in every way. I love a man who is handy with his hands. He adores his twin daughters Paige and Addy. He’s thoughtful and caring. If he could only cook, he would be my ideal man.
Tennyson West just wants a quiet life where her secrets remain secrets and her rented property has hot water. Two little ladies decide they want to be her besties and they make it fairly clear that they would be more than happy if she makes friends with their dad too.
Lesson for budding writers, if you are going to write child characters into a book, be like Kristy. You can tell she has experience of kids in the way she writes them. She makes them believable and adorable.
Of course Crew is going to fall for Tenny and how could she not go absolutely gah gah over him and his beautiful girls?

Tennyson West just wants a quiet life where her secrets remain secrets and her rented property has hot water. Two little ladies decide they want to be her besties and they make it fairly clear that they would be more than happy if she makes friends with their dad too.
Lesson for budding writers, if you are going to write child characters into a book, be like Kristy. You can tell she has experience of kids in the way she writes them. She makes them believable and adorable.
Of course Crew is going to fall for Tenny and how could she not go absolutely gah gah over him and his beautiful girls?

When Crew Madden relocates his twin daughters and himself to a small town to get away from all the chaos of their Chicago life he never imagined his tenant would be such a temptation. He wasn’t looking for anything new but the stunning Tennyson West might be just what he needs. Welcome to Redemption Falls where you might just find what was missing in your life. What a sweet romance about two people trying to move on from their pasts and end up finding a connection with one another. This does deal with ptsd and taking a risk moving forward in your life. Crew’s daughter’s are quite the handful too. This is an enjoyable romance with a little mystery mixed in but you have to read it to see what that is. Told in dual POV

Single dad moves to a small town and falls in love with a woman that is hiding from her old life. It’s really boring, I didn’t feel anything reading it, the narrative build this tension of a danger coming that never does, the guy needed a mother for his daughter and she needed a husband so it was convenient. Overall it’s just really boring and superficial and very cliche. Plus I think the author did a poor job at writing a abusive relationship.

This is my first time reading this author and this book definitely didn’t disappoint. This book had me at single dad romance.
Crew moves to the small town of redemption falls with his twin daughters for a fresh start this summer after a traumatic incident that turned his life upside down. So now him and his daughters are living on his uncle property and all his has to do help his tenant when there’s problem. He never wanted to be a landlord but that all changes when he meet Tenny his tenant. Tenny has been renting the cottage she lives in for a few years. She also came to this town for a fresh start from her past and she has been doing good at keeping people at arm’s length but that changes with her new neighbors. Neither of these two people are looking for love after their past and even with all their baggage they still manage to form a connection they never felt before. Tenny not only developed a relationship with Crew but she developed a great relationship with his daughters. But will be able to let go and heal from their past or will their past ruin their chance at happiness?
They had a great chemistry from the moment his daughters tricked them into having dinner together. These two couldn’t keep their hands off each other and the more time they spent together the more their relationship grew into something neither thought they would ever have. I love how much his daughters want him to be happy and the way they embrace Tenny into their little family. I can’t wait for more in the Redemption series.

He didn't anticipate having a tenant to watch over as well. Tennyson West came to Redemption Falls to start over. She's quiet, guarded and incredibly sexy. She's hiding from her previous life of abundance and the woman she used to be. She can begin again and be free. Crew and his daughters entered her life and changed her future. Now, she's laughing and loving again. When their pasts come knocking, will their new relationship survive?
This was a truly heartwarming read. The plot managed to keep my attention and my heart experienced the full range of emotions. K. Bromberg writes characters full of depth and relatability. This new series looks to be one worth anticipating. I couldn't recommend this story more. This is my honest opinion, freely given.
