About the author

Alexandra Marinina (real name Marina Anatolyevna Alekseyeva) is a Russian writer and crime stories author. For 10 years (1979 - 1989) she worked in milicia (police) as a criminology specialist.
She has written over 40 novels, published in over 17 million copies and translated into over 20 languages.
Most of her novels have a common central character Anastasia (Nastya) Kamenskaya. Whole series about Anastasia (Nastya) Kamenskaya contains 30 books.

Кримките на Маринина са много добри от към сюжет и интрига и са вярно огледало на част от сегашния руския начин на живот.

Винаги е удоволствие за мен срещата с главната ѝ героиня - Настя Каменская.

Tämä oli ihan jees. Sekaannuin sen sata kertaa venäläisissä kutsumanimissä, ja hahmot jäivät aavistuksen tuntemattomaksi. Toisaalta viihdyin ihan hyvin tämän parissa, eikä tarvinnut pyöritellä silmiä tapahtumille. Kivaa vaihtelua peri-amerikkalaisten naistenjännäreiden jälkeen. Voisin tarttua sarjan toiseenkiin osaan joskus myöhemmin muodostaakseni lopullisen mielipiteen.

Świetna książka. Zupełnie inna konwencja od Skandynawskich kryminałów, które zwykłam czytać. Oprócz wątków kryminalnych, autorka świetnie "rozkminia" ludzką naturę, a dokładnie zagmatwanie towarzyszące stosunkom damsko-męskim. Polecam!!!

Der Großteil des Buches hat mir unglaublich gut gefallen.
Gerade die Beziehung zwischen Nastja und ihrem Mann fand ich dafür, dass es sich um einen Kriminalroman handelt, unglaublich gut geschrieben. Ich finde es klasse, wie sie sich aufeinander verlassen können, und dass sie nicht versuchen, den jeweils anderen zu ändern, und ich habe wirklich unglaublich gerne alle Gespräche und Interaktionen zwischen ihnen gelesen.
Auch den Fall fand ich nicht schlecht. Es war spannend, und ich hatte zwar so meine Vermutungen (die sich auch als richtig erwiesen) war aber bis zum Ende nie ganz sicher, und die Mischung aus "man kann sehen, wohin es geht" und "es bleibt bis zum Ende spannend" war für mich echt gut getroffen.
Leider hat das Buch in der zweiten Hälfte trotzdem etwas nachgelassen, auch wenn ich es im großen und ganzen mochte, und gerade die graphischen Szenen von Gewalt gegenüber Frauen waren mir persönlich etwas zu viel, dafür, dass es in der ersten Hälfte eher wenige solcher Momente gab. Dadurch wirkten sie eher noch überflüssiger und haben leider ein wenig den Spaß gemindert, den ich beim Lesen empfunden habe.
Aber trotzdem eine gute Geschichte und sie hat mir gefallen, sie war nur durch die zweite Hälfte/das letzte Drittel nicht mehr ganz so toll, wie sie vom Anfang her auf mich wirkte.

It caught my attention, but to be honest I expected more from the story. I got to now a lot about the characters, which was good, but sometimes it felt a bit slow. However, the story was good and entertaining.

Traduzione mediocre, ho trovato almeno 2 errori che alla fin fine non hanno disturbato nè lettura nè trama, la debolezza sta proprio in quest’ultima e nel fatto che il libro è stato tirato troppo per le lunghe quindi l’effetto di suspense, di mistero ne è risultato completamente compromesso .

Some people say it's one of worse books from Anastasia Kamienska's series. It was a bow towards women's literature. Later Marinina came back to her usual style as combining romance and crime story isn't that good if the main character is a woman.

Anastasia Kamienska finally gets married to her long-term partner Alexey Chistyakov. But they can't spend their honeymoon as they like cause Anastasia has to go back to work to solve the case of two murders of the brides in two registry offices.

This was more interesting for the progression of the characters. The mystery and the culprit were predictable. To me at least. I knew who it was midway through. Also there are two scenes of excessive violence against women that just make me a bit mad. It was gratuitous and not necessary. I didn't expect it. So trigger warning.

On the positive side, Anastasia is still wonderful and her Liocha is also wonderful.

Commento non positivo, l’entusiasmo per la Kameskaja è un po’ scemato: questo è il primo romanzo della serie che mi delude. Sicuramente ne leggerò altri, sperando che questo sia solo un caso, e non che forse ormai i romanzi della Marinina mi sono venuti a noia!

Lubię tę książkę. Nie mógł przestać czytania. Skończyłem po jednu miesiącu. Interesująca ze względu na rosyjskie społeczeństwo. Tłumaczenie w tej książce z rosyjskiego na polski zdawało sie naturalno brzmiące.
