Ted, White, and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto

Rate this book
It’s About Time.
America has been craving leadership—and at last a gun-slinging, mega-rock star, deerslayer, and patriot has stepped forward to provide it. Make way for Ted Nugent. Cocked, locked, and ready to rock, the Motor City Madman, the thinking man’s Abraham Lincoln, has unleashed the ultimate high-octane political manifesto for the ages in Ted, White, and Blue —the most important patriotic statement since the Constitution. In Ted, White, and Blue you’ll
Why war is the answer to so many of our current problems
Why if Ted were a Mexican, he’d start a revolution (and how, since he’s not, we can control our own borders)
How to put Uncle Sam on a diet (a waste-watchers program for government)
If you care about America, if you want to preserve, protect, and defend the land of the free and the home of the brave, if you’re fed up with lazy, whining, fear mongering, government-gorging Obamaniacs, then you need to read Ted, White, and The Nugent Manifesto .

Despite the fact that he has made over forty albums over a career spanning fifty years, I had never heard any of the music from the Motor City Madman named Ted Nugent. I didn’t even know who he was to tell you the truth, until one day this crazy redneck mother was telling me about Ted Nugent and how he didn’t like Mexicans. This was another jarhead telling me this, way back in 96’ or 97’ and being a patriotic, motivated, hard charging, hard working American leatherneck of Mexican descent, I was a little more than p.o.’d when this “freakin’ cracker” was telling me that some “stupid ass redneck, country fuck” was saying he didn’t like Mexicans.
Granted, being born and bred in the good ol’ U.S. of A, this little brown boy shouldn’t have been pissed off at all, as I was born and raised here, an American by birthright, and Mexican because my daddy was born there, but nevertheless, I felt like habanero hot sauce was running through my veins instead of blood, and I was ready to show that “inbred motherfucker” that he should have thought twice about telling me Mr. Nugent hated Mexicans. I was ready to go loco on his ass and tell him to remember the Alamo, except then I remembered that technically, my side lost so I would have been contradicting myself!
Which brings me and the point that I will be making shortly to the year 2009, the city of Monrovia, Ca, and the summer reading program at the library that we put my kids in ever summer. As a marine, it is natural to lead by example, so I figured that I should start reading books too, because I didn’t want one of the kids to ask me why they had to read, if mommy and weren’t. CYA baby, CYA (cover your ass). So, I was walking in the library and went over to the section where all the new books are put, and to my surprise, there was a book written by the racist bastard named Ted Nugent, and I wanted to read it, so I could see how much he hated Mexicans.
HA HA HA!!!!! Surprise, Surprise! Little did I know that Teddy doesn’t hate Mexicans, but everyone! I didn’t’ even know that this vato would be as they say, my cup of tea, but he is! From the moment I picked up this book, I could not put it down, and sadly, sarcastically speaking of course, (as I have and will speak this entire book review) I could not find one shred of Mexican hating. I shook my head in disgust and said, “Ay Dios mio!” and then cried myself to sleep singing a Mexican lullaby, all the time mumbling something about Ted not hating Mexicans. LOL, yeah right!
Ted, White and Blue: The Nugent Manifesto is a book covering Nugent’s opinions on EVERYTHING, with topics ranging from hunting, conservation, the general “no-no” subjects of race, religion, and politics, and even gives us his view on immigration reform, gun control and global warming to name a few others. Nugent has very strong opinions on all of these subjects, and boy, does he give them. Unlike many, who like to view their opinions as what everyone else should believe, Nugent encourages differing opinions, debating those differences, and even says that his country was founded on differences and we should continue to argue, because that is what makes this country so great. But be careful, unlike the drunk bastard at the end of the bar, or your bitter ass Uncle Larry, Teddy actually researches every subject he speaks about prior to engaging in debate, so he can back up everything he says with facts.
I can honestly say that I genuinely respect this man. He is a self-made man, and practices what he preaches, and like us boys who have worn the uniform, leads by example. On his ranch in Texas for example, he grows his own vegetables. He plants his own trees, chops them down for firewood to fuel his chimneys and plants more trees to replace the ones he cut down. He believes that it is better to give than to receive. Everything he hunts, such as deer and wild boar feed his family. Whatever his family cannot eat is given to the local soup kitchen to feed those less fortunate.
I could go on an on about this man, and none of it would be bullshit. The only bullshit I ever heard was that he hated Mexicans. While he is not a fan of ILLEGAL immigration, he IS a fan of legal migration. However, he believes in 100% cultural assimilation, the same way that the millions of European immigrants did when they came over from Germany, Italy and other places. Ever hear the saying, “You can’t serve two masters.”? Well that is what he believes.
This book is full of ideas, his ideas and for the most part, I agree with almost of all them. There are a few things in there that I don’t agree with, but like he said, that is what makes this country great, being able to agree to disagree. I don’t want to say no more, due to the fact that I don’t want to be a spoiler. I don’t want to be that guy in the movies theater that gives you the play by play of the movie or predicts what is going to happen next, because then it wouldn’t be no fun. But I will say this: This book is going to challenge your way of thinking, because most of us have tunnel vision. You will see his point of view, and I am almost positive that it will be different from you own, but it will become your own because he makes valid arguments and is able to prove his points. I guess there’s nothing left to say except God Bless America, Chesty Puller and the Motor City madman!

If people say you're a conservative and you don't know why- this is your book.

I suppose I'm a conservative because:

1) I don't think the federal government is supposed to do anything outside their enumerated constitutional powers.

2) I do believe we have a natural right to not only keep and bear arms, but to defend ourselves and our property in whatever manner we see fit.

3) I do not believe we have natural rights beyond those of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and that those rights are sacred. Our legal rights are specified in the Bill of Rights, if you want to change them amend the Constitution.

4) I believe in personal responsibility and individual freedom and liberty. You do want you want to do as long as you don't tread on my rights; and I'll do the same for you.

Now my ideology has a name. I'm a "Ted Nugent Conservative."

Thanks Ted!!!

Ted is a terrific storyteller and an engaging sage- whether you agree with him or not. The interesting thing is that except for his obsession with eating animal flesh, when I present his ideas without attribution in debate with friends conservative or liberal- they all usually agree with Ted!

BONUS: For my liberal friends- you'll enjoy this book too and you'll laugh as much as I did!!!

What can I say? You will either disagree or agree with him. Odds are good if you fall in the conservative spectrum, you will like him better than if you are on the liberal side. He does have some common sense ideas, and he does seem to have thought them through. However, like a lot of hardcore libertarians, a sense of extreme individualism, often at the expense of others, is present. Things like taking personal responsibility, a good work ethic, and values are certainly things I can agree on. Pretty much cutting out things like safety nets under the hopes that the private sector and charities will take care of the most needy just are not true. All we have to do is look at the current environment to see that without regulation the haves will pretty much screw everyone else over. Nugent seems to miss that. But he is not totally black and white, which may be why some on both sides of the political spectrum can find some common points. If nothing else, the book did give me some things to think about, and that, for me, is always a good thing.

My little brother sent me this book on cd as a thank you for editing a paper for him... Ted's a bit 'wild' but he sure gives a mind alot to think about... I especially like Ted's idea that we don't all have to agree on every point but we need to keep the lines of discussion open... ya need to think like a rocker and a patriot and you get it! we could use alot more drug free, patriotic rock stars and celebrities in this old world!

Haven't quite finished the last of this cd.. crazy life eents.. funny and insightful, though.

I can’t say I like his music but this book was a fun read. It’s the get off your butt America and do something instead of just standing around a complaining. Ted’s down to earth ways and understanding of the American mind set is pretty on target. He makes many well reasoned points and may start you thinking about what you can do in your own community to make a difference. The only question I had at the end of this book is why isn’t Ted the governor of some state or running for president; just can’t give up the ROCK and ROLL I guess.

An absolute must-read for any true American patriot. As always, Ted is very forward about his thoughts, feelings and beliefs, and he sugar-coats nothing. He attacks anyone and everyone, but he does it with style.

It's a little hard to get used to the writing style at first, but once you are a couple of chapters in, it becomes a lot easier.

I love what Ted Nugent stands for in many ways. I love his simple views on making change and letting the American people make decisions for themselves. I love the idea of less government. He is a go-getter and that made me want to get out there and make a change. People who are on the political fence need to read this book!

Well, I finally finished it. Writing is not great, but it's the ideas that count. So if you read it, focus on the ideas. I actually found that the Nuge and I have a lot of the same political views.

I disagree with a lot of Ted Nugents views, but wanted to know more about them so I could intelligently defend my disagreement. Regardless of what you personally believe, Ted Nugent has given a lot of thought to why he believes what he believes. Definitely an interesting read.

1/2 of his opinions I agreed with whole-heartedly. The other 1/2 I absolutely disagreed with whole-heartedly! I appreciated his voice and ability to make me feel so passionately and think about my own stance on important issues.

Possibly the last time so much bigoted, myopic, angry tripe was presented in a single volume was in "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion".

Want to see everything wrong with Amerika today, condensed in to a single, easy-to-carry tome? Read this.

From reading this book, I learned that although Ted Nugent is a little too "hunting happy" (he pretty much wants to shoot everything), for the most part, he really has his shit together.

Excellent book if you can get past the "Eskimo" words. I highly recommend this one, espeicially if you tend to be wishy-washy in your political views. You won't be after you read this one!

This book is right-wing, capitalist, anti-intellectual propoganda aimed at rousing the uneducated masses into an extreme belief system. I had the unfortunate duty of reviewing this book in order to recieve a college credit for U.S. Government. This man's views are so detached from his own supposed faith, as he revels in the facade of heroism in war, rather than showing compassion for those seriously affected by it in trauma, and with zero reverence for the loss of life seen in any kind of conflict. The idea of "rugged individualism" very clearly supported in this book is something only appealing at face value, and when fully examined, only self-absorbed, immoral men would support such a thing. If this is your ideal of a man or leader, you're the reason America looks so bleak right now. None of the points he makes are supported by any credible sources, if at all, and this book makes me incredibly fearful of the future of our nation, as the idea that anyone would agree with such ideals is so incredibly horrific. This book literally made me create a goodreads account so that a voice of rationality could be seen in the review section. I'm embarrassed to have this man's name alongside our nation's colors, and I pray that this book be used to open people's eyes to real christian morals, as this serves as a fairly clear antithesis to many of Jesus' teachings. Love thy neighbor always, and seek peace, Philippians 4:7.

Excellent - loved every word, without exception Ted and I see Eye to Eye. No intent on plagiarism but I intend to refer to this book as my manifesto and recommend it to friends and family who want to know my point of view. I also intend to point those with opposing points of view to this book as he has articulated a lot of my feelings. Great Job, I'll probably read it again soon.
People today need to learn the simple truth that the world doesn't owe you anything and respect needs to be earned. They also need to set some rocks on fire!

I never knew that Ted Nugent (the musician) was such a Patriot! I agreed with him 99% of the time. I especially like the chapters "If I Were President" and "Health Care-Not a Handout". Even in his Foreword he quotes Alan L Roland by telling the House and the Senate to serve no more than 12 years, then go home and go back to work. No pension, no healthcare. Let them get their own like the rest of us. Fun! If anyone wants to borrow, I'll gladly loan it to you.
