Presley Lowell has always been the good girl. After college, she took a risk and moved to California to follow her dreams of being a songwriter in Los Angeles. About the author

Stephanie Nichole is an Amazon Bestselling Author. She lives in a small town with her family in New Mexico. She graduated college in 2010 with a degree in business and accounting. However, her true passion is all things book related. As a student English and Literature were her favorite subjects. Weekly library trips with her mother also helped instill her love for books. Stephanie would look forward to summer most of all, not because she was out of school but for the summer reading groups at her local library. After a friend’s encouragement she started her author journey in 2016.


Stephanie is an avid book, music and old Hollywood movie lover. When she's not busy reading or writing she's probably binge watching Netflix.

I absolutely love this book. A definite change of scenery from the dark romance I’m used to reading, however, this was a gripping emotional tale that felt so real! Like reading the memoir of your grandparents after finding out your grandpa was that rockstar!

I was slightly surprised by the directions that this book went, but it seems that the scenic route was the best way to go for Thoven and Presley. They had a series of wrong time encounters, tragedy and heartbreak, and still managed the slow burn from collaborators to friends to HEA. I found myself wanting to yell at Knox and Presley, while wondering how long Thoven would hang on for someone, only to find that he’d hang on forever if necessary. Overall, I admire the approach this author took to telling a story about love and friendship and heartache and how all three can bring the sweetest things in life.

I loved this book !
This is the story of Presley and Thoven !
Of love ,second chances , music and lyrics and becoming the best version of yourself .
I went into this book not knowing anything about it but I know If it is written by Stephanie Nichole ,I would love it!
This is a writer who makes you feel every emotion, you laugh, you cry , you scream at characters and feel they are your friends!

This is Presley and Thoven’s love story. They are musicians. He’s in a boy band, wanting to do his own music, but stuck there. She’s a writer with an amazing voice who can’t sing in public. They meet when she gets a gig as a song writer and clicks with him. However, she has a love life already. He’s 3 years younger than she and needing to experience life. In the end she has a tragedy and disconnects from the world for over a year. During that time he goes through some changes in his life. They reunite by chance and sparks fly, but things are not easy. They go through other situations and finally get their HEA.
It’s a beautiful love story!

This was an emotional read and my heart broke for Presley as she navigated the rough road of life and had to deal with so much loss and heartache. A beautiful yet unexpected love story that literally had me in tears and constanly wondering how it would all play out. Love the characters Thoven and Presley and I loved how the author gave these two a chance at true love and happiness.

This book! OMG...my heart! I loved every minute of this story. Presley and Thoven's chemistry is electric. I am a sucker for a great love story especially when it involves the love of music. This story shows how music consumes us, break our heart and saves us. Music is the ultimate healer. Presley thinks she has her life figured out. She has a new career that she loves and has worked so hard for. She has a boyfriend named Knox who she is ready to dedicate the rest of her life to. Then she meets boy band member Thoven. He isn't what she suspects. He wants to escape the life that is his prison. He wants to show the world his creativity and his true heart. Presley takes the job to write with Thoven and their attraction can't be ignored. Their friendship has the threat to be more. Then when Presley's world that seems like it's becoming perfect, it shatters. As the reader we watch as Presley and Thoven's bond is tested. Tragedy happens and Thoven is what Presley may need to find herself again. I felt this story with each word. It made my heart so full, broke my heart and then put it back together again. I can't suggest this story enough. If you want a love story that will consume you, a story that will touch your heart, a story that will inspire you to push forward even in the worst times in life, then this is the story for you. Trust me. You'll be obsessed like I am.

This was a great love story that brought a HEA in a pretty unpredictable way. Stephanie Nichole didn't just introduce us to the characters and let us watch them fall in love-- we got to watch them struggle, and grieve, and grow, and learn while they found their way to each other.

I wasn't sure I was going to be able care about the lead singer of a boy band, but Thoven proved me wrong. He was a complex and immensely likable character, and I could sense the rock 'n roll in his heart from the very beginning 😉

I'm so glad I took a chance on this book, and you should, too!! There's a lot of depth and feeling within these pages, and it'll stick with you ❤

I really enjoyed this book and how it had me completely in my feels! Knox and Presley seemed like end goals, but I absolutely adored Thoven, and how he was in love with Presley, but respected their relationship. The friendship between Presley and Thoven was so fantastic, and they worked together so perfectly. Knox had me totally twisted and never could decide how I felt about him. The twist had me totally shook, but I love how it all worked out. And the epilogue? Had me almost in happy tears. Such a wonderful read!

Presley, Knox and Thoven will make you laugh, cry, cheer and smile. The characters are so likable and the story is so well written. I loved it!

I just finished Chord Changes and what an emotional story. Have the tissues ready. This book had so much feeling, Stephanie Nichole takes you through all the highs and lows, experiencing all the emotions along with the main characters, Presley and Thoven. I really enjoyed this book, it was nothing like what I expected and heartbreakingly beautiful.

Beautiful

This book does have some darker themes: suicide and miscarriage.

A beautiful story of loss, finding love again, and growth.

The story is real, it takes you places that are even more real, but the rainbow comes out after the rain. I loved Presley, she is the girl you root for and her HEA.

Holy moly! Presley & Thoven’s story is inspiring. It shows the ups and downs of life and how things aren’t always perfect. While it's extremely sad in parts, it conveys such an important message, that healing IS possible. This story is not sugary sweet, it does not hide the dark shadows, it isn't going to pretend that everything is magically fixed & you will experience a rollercoaster of emotions while reading this book.
