One moment. One life-altering decision. That’s all it takes for everything to fall apart.
Moving to New York is supposed to be the happiest day of Hailey’s life. College. The big city. New friends. Better career opportunities. But one night of passion, with her brother’s best friend, ends up creating a whirlwind of mixed emotions that could jeopardize it all.
He betrayed her.
Broke her heart and stomped on the pieces. And now, Hailey isn’t sure if she can ever forgive him.
Running toward her future—and leaving her memories of that night behind—is her only option. That, and staying as far away from Casey Bridges as possible.
Six years later, and life sure has a funny way of working out for the better. Until a ghost from her past storms back into it, dredging up long-buried emotions. And worse yet, her biggest fear.
Despite their history, they can’t deny their attraction. Casey doesn't give her a choice, and neither will her heart. When the secrets and lies begin to unravel, is love enough to overcome her doubts? Or will she choose to run away again?
I really wanted to love this book because Casey was so swoon worthy, but Hailey really got on my nerves. The first time she ran away from Casey, I could understand she was young and immature, but the fact that years later, she did the same thing was annoying.
I felt for poor Casey because he always had feelings for Hailey and when he finally got her, she ran away and he blamed himself. It just felt like Casey was the one who kept getting hurt, but he didn’t care as along as he had Hailey. As for Hailey, for someone who believes Casey would never hurt her, she was quick to believe the absolute worst and of course instead of facing the situation (which she made up in her head) she changed her whole life, she planned to move and quit her job! I just couldn’t relate to her personally so it was hard for me to root for her.
I’m happy the ending was sweet because honestly Casey deserved it.

Make You Mine is an excellent debut novel with writing that improved as the story developed. The ‘friends to lovers’ and ‘forbidden love’ tropes that are often overused in this genre were quite exciting here and made even more interesting by the concurrent storyline of the Dirty Gods rise to fame. The author gave us soft and sentimental mixed with sexy and spellbinding, a good balance that kept me up late into the night wanting more. The balance of tender romance and raw passion was spot on. I’m looking forward to more from this author. 4 stars for this debut novel.
Make You Mine was a fantastic debut novel! A brothers best friend/friends to lovers/rockstar romance all rolled into one. Casey is absolutely swoon worthy and the chemistry between the main charters is off the charts.
In addition to loving the main characters you can’t help but to route for the supporting characters as well.
This book delivered everything. A perfect HEA. I can’t wait to see what other stories come from this author in the future.
Hailey doesn't want to admit she's always felt something for her brother's best friend, she knows it'll ruin everything, she doesn't want to take that chance with him or with their band's career. When Hailey leaves for college she leaves it all behind and pretends to forget, but then her old life collides with her new life. Everyone deserves a second chance.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and I did enjoy it. The cover drew me into it. I love a good rock band romance. I liked the connections between the characters and the story. Hails played on my nerves a little bit, but that was her character and that’s who she was supposed to be. All in all, it was a good read.
So good! I loved this book I couldn’t put it down. It was fun and I Loved the whole crew. The love they all shared and oh my gosh the pranks were awesome. Casey and Hailey were perfect together. Reading this book makes you feel like you’re living inside this book. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves romance and fun.
Young adult book - early / mid 20s with miscommunication, some angst and HFN. I probably wouldn’t have read if I had known it was YA. Well written and an enjoyable read all the same. drama was relatable relative to age bracket of MCs. Note: does have descriptive steamy scenes
I absolutely loved this book!!!! I started and finished it in one day! This one will not only be in my kindle books but will also be one on my shelves at home. 10/10 recommend!!
I couldn’t read this book fast enough. I would open and read a few pages every chance I got. The chemistry between Hailey and Casey was to die for. Definitely one I will read again.
