Informative and sober study of shrunken heads in Ecuador with a plethora of photographs.

Although it definitely doesn't skirt the more sensationalistic aspects of shrunken heads, this book also offers perhaps the best detailed descriptions and great, large photos. Includes sloth and monkey examples, and a few fakes. Examples are drawn from many different collections, and properly attributed. Probably the best single book on the subject.
