Final Review (1/31/22): This was just meh. I don’t think I ever bought that there was a deep connection between Emily and Axel . It felt like their was just a lot of sexual attraction and Emily’s recognition of a mate bond. But that does not make a complete relationship.
It was a really fun read but this doesn’t really bring anything new to the table for this series. I get why people love these books but with 8 books it also means it’s quite repetitive and I found myself recalling the other books that I just preferred. Even Dax who I labeled “generic” interested me more. The scientific talk in this one is just kind of broad, I like specificity and honestly didn’t get it here.
Also the choice of bad guy This book did provide some explanations for Axel & Emily always being found which bothered me to not have info about Axel so that was nice.
Good addition to the series but I wanna see new life breathed into these repetitive narratives.

I lovers our Milly. I have only read a few of the Alpha Geek series, I love Milly's strong women I do. I don't know whereas I like this series I love a few others more. That being said, I grabbed Axel and am glad I did! What cutie!!
A very smexy geek we have focused on finding a cure that someone doesn't want him to find and in that his life is about to be turned upside down.
We have our sexy protector a cougar with some sass and know-how, yeah she got that spark as soon as she saw the sexy geek. She doesn't have a lot of time to put her claim in because saving his life has become more than just her job.
Pretty cool story, the characters are fun. A mix of it all with a couple of bumps in the road. Over all I enjoyed it. I read not just for the story but the hot scenes as well and Milly delivers both. Enjoy.

Book 8 in the series of Alpha Geeks by Milly Taiden.
Emily gets job with personal protection agency and gets assigned to Axel to protect him as he is trying to find care for diseases and someone wants to stop him. Emily finds out that Axel is her mate and suddenly realises that there’s more to lose then she thought.
Only thing is it is slightly predictable but I do love the sassiness of the main female character and the geekiness of the guy really steamy.

Axel is a geek nerd and needs help due to threats. She is hired to protect him. This one has it all, drama , suspense, kidnapping, action and the girl gets her man.

This is an OK shifter romance, but it seemed that the couple was more in lust than in love. Axel and Emily were both likable, but I would have liked a little more romance and a little less sex.
This was a quick read, so there wasn't time for as much character development as I like -- but there was enough to like the couple and to want them to find their HEA.
I thought Axel would have been a little more shocked when he first saw Emily shift, and then had a little more trouble adjusting to becoming a shifter himself.
My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

A simply wonderful addition to series, great character and story
This was a simply wonderful read and as I do not want to give away anything that will spoil the plot or the twist of the story for other readers who I assure you will be as totally captivated by this book as myself, totally unable to put it down until I reached the final page and discovered the outcome.
The job protecting the scientist is something different and she could never have foreseen that Axel would be so much more important than simply a client, as danger follows and their relationship grows things begin to change.
Emily is a lioness in her shifted state and she knows that he is her mate and will do whatever it takes to keep him as safe as possible. They have to battle against the forces that would do him harm, together they will be a joint force and keep each other safe.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Dr. Axel Snell's life is in danger and he is about to get a bodyguard, Emily is a cougar shifter from the Shifter Protection Agency and she is determined to make sure that her client survives. They are both taken with the other from the beginning. Soon Emily realizes what it is about Axel that has attracted her so easily. But whoever is trying to kill Axel is not playing and before they know it there is no place to hide and they are attacked more than a couple of times and then the worse happens and Dax has to help Axel to save his life. Drama, suspense, action-adventure, and a life-changing experience. Very entertaining. I read an ARC via BookFunnel without obligation. I volunteered an honest review.

I have quickly fallen in love with this series. While each can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading them all. You will not be disappointed. Axel's work is important and could be a huge breakthrough. However, there are people out there against it. Emily's first assignment as a bodyguard is to keep him safe. When she first meets Axel, she knows he's her mate. With that knowledge, she will do anything to protect him. Danger seems to be following them and her job gets more difficult every day. In order to find their HEA, she will have to keep him alive first. An exciting read full of action, suspense and romance. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.

Okay so I thought it would take forever to read but I was able to read and re-read it in less than 2 days. I feel in love with the story and the twist and turns i the book. the Geek is Hot and I love how he wants to be a protector and he's a Geek! There is mystery and lots of action in the book. I would read this again if I had the time. I could see this as a movie. I can't wait to see what happens next in theses series of books. I hate to give away plots so I will just say that it is worth a reading or two and you will love it as much as I have loved reading it.

I think Axel might be my favorite geek turned alpha. The original three were my favorites, but Axel is definitely on the same level if not replacing them. I love how possessive and bossy he becomes even though it lingered underneath the surface the whole time. Also, the foreshadowing is impeccable not just with the mystery but also with the shifting. It really makes for an incredible read. Emily is awesome in her own right as well. I love how she takes charge and is always in control until she doesn’t want to be, and Axel is just the Alpha to make her submit.

Alpha Geek: Axel is the eighth Alpha Geek book and pretty much follows the formula but I love each and every one. Axel is the skinny genius working on a cure for anthrax poisoning and somebody doesn’t want him to succeed enter pretty shifter bodyguard who discovers that said fragile geek is her mate. Now if she can only keep him alive. Emily is smart and sassy if a little unsure about what she wants to do with her life. Axel is an alpha from the get go he just chose to exercise his mind more than his body. This is a sweet and sexy addition to the series.

There's never ending action here. They just won't stop going after our hero, Axel. Just as our protagonists are getting their breaths back, here comes another attack from their unknown enemies. Whew!
Axel might have become an alpha shifter, he did not left his geekiness. There are still some scenes where he felt awkward but it disappeared when it comes to his mate, Emily. Emily might be a strong woman, an alpha in her own right, but she balances him out. Them being together brings out the happiness and it was good reading it.

Emily meets Axel as part of her assignment. I liked how the characters interacted at first. Axel is cute, in an alpha dorky way. I liked how the author showed him processing the changes forced on him. This wasn't something I saw a lot of in previous Alpha Geek stories. Even with the changes forced upon them as they deal with the conspiracy threat, will they survive to explore what the changes mean?
This is another great story in this series. With past characters revisiting, the continuity between the stories is strong.

Another wonderful addition to the series. This was a quick read, and even though I felt liked Emily and Axel lust after each other and needed more time to fall in love still with the added drama, suspense, action-adventure, and the life changing experience for Axel made for helluva read. Looking forward to the new book in the series. This was such a fantastic story! A shifter looking for her place in the world and a scientist working on a very important project. These two had sparks from the first moment and it just got hotter from there! This was a very sweet story and great characters! It’s always nice to have cameo appearances from previous books! Plenty of action, danger, intrigue, and steam! Great addition to the series and I highly recommend! Received arc and am voluntarily leaving an honest review

A great storyline with a strong female lead Emily a shifter is sent to protect Axel who is being threatened. The job takes on much more meaning upon discovering he is her mate.

Alpha Geek: Axel is the 8th book in the Alpha Geek series, and I have loved every single one of them including Axel. This book has everything…drama, danger, sex and love! What else can one ask for?? Milly has done it again with characters that you instantly fall in love with and cheer on until the end and their Happy Ever After. I highly recommend this book and this series!!

Love Axel and Emily
I enjoyed getting to know Axel and Emily in this latest Alpha Geek and catching up with old friends. I truly enjoyed everything about this book. The character interactions, the story flow, even the fight scenes.. The only thing hard to swallow was the "threat" for this installment of Alpha Geek. It just didn't feel as thought out as prior books in this series.

Love this series by Milly Taiden! All the books have a scientist of some type that is in trouble and needs protection from the bad guys. But each book features a different scientist and a different heroine. Yes, I said heroine! The girl saves the day and protects her hunky geek! So very different from other books/authors that I read. Another Geek match!
This is the same format as the other stories, but I just love reading them!
The only thing about this tale that I couldn't wrap my head around was that with the other books, the Geeks were hunted, killed, and brought back as a shifter because their fated mate begged. But why ate they were still hunted? Why not take better protective measures?
Anyways, it was still a good story.

By now you get the "plots" of this series: for some reason, the geek is changed into an alpha. I will like to say even though I'm 8 books in it's still keeping me on the side of my chair wondering what happens next. One thing I recommend reading the series in order, some of the Alphas from previous books show up.

great but not up to her usual standard
I love this author's work. This book had more grammatical errors than usual for her. I don't know if she may have been trying out talk to text as there were some cases of words used that sounded similar to what should have been in a sentence, for example air instead of ear. I am hoping her next book will return to her usual high quality. The story was still excellent.

The latest installment of the Alpha Geek series is here and it is good. Emily is new to the protection agency. Formerly a cop, she hasn’t quite found her place yet. With her first assignment protecting a professor being threatened over his research, Emily finds her mate. Lots of action and danger.

Such a great book to read. I love how you have a strong female and a guy who respects and loves that in his woman. I like how the book follows both peoples minds. First time I’ve read alpha geek books and can say I will be reading more.
