Nasty and his sister Von grew up parentless. They were murdered early in their childhood, and he had to become a brother and father to her. Feeling like he had no choice, Nasty left her with another hustler who was supposed to pick up where Nasty left off. But Rodney, with his own selfish agenda, held a dangerous secret that ruined many lives. As Nasty and Soulja embark on a journey to uncover the truth, there is bloodshed, betrayal, and mayhem. These young bosses with old-school principles are tested in ways that they never imagined. This is the ultimate gangster's tale.

I listened to this book on Audible. Soozi Cheyenne delivered another excellent performance and the production was very good. The author did a good job of character development and displaying the relationship between siblings, Von & Nasty. They were left orphaned at an early age after the death of their parents. Von, attempting to care for his sister and be a father figure to her as well, got caught up in the streets and eventually landed in prison. This left his sister as easy prey to a local pedophile/hustler. There was a certain sadness that blanketed the entire story due to a secret that is revealed early on about one of the co-primaries. The story moved along quickly, but not so quickly that you missed some very socially relevant messages. I will say that I grew frustrated with everyone shielding Nasty from some realities that would directly affect his future. I also kept wondering why his men on the streets who kept him up to date on the news didn't clue him into what was going on with his family. The ending was drug out and was especially frustrating, but I will say I am looking forward to the sequel. What will Nasty's future hold?

This book was great! Two drug kingpins were setup and sent to prison but they still made moves from behind the wall. One took a harsher sentence of life so that the other could one day get out and keep things going for their families. Death and a secret causes a wedge between the two. Read it to get the full story. I will be waiting on the next book!

Good story but the ending smh. I hate books that jus abruptly end. You get to the climax and it’s over like that. I feel if your not going give me a complete story don’t waste your time writing the book.

100% RAWNESS

Oh how I wished I could’ve smoked Rodney for what he did to Von. This story really moved me because this type of stuff happens in real life.
