Aundrea 'Drea' Conte has been dancing her entire life. Even when a dark depressive cloud started hanging over her head, dance helped her find the light. When she is offered a job to teach dance to veterans, she feels compelled to help even though a part of her doesn't feel ready. The job turns out to be more than she bargained for when she meets Lucas. A sullen head-strong Marine whose snide comments always manage to get under her skin. Will she be able to use dance to get through to Lucas and help kick her own depression to the curb, or will they both end up AWOL?
Born and raised in a south suburb of Chicago, Rietta has always been a storyteller at heart. As a child, she carried around a tape recorder, capturing the worlds she imagined, and by fourteen, she had written her first book.
After earning a B.S. in Exercise Science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, she spent several years as a trainer before rediscovering her true passion—creating. Inspired by the love story she shares with her husband, she penned A Walk to Forever, the first of many books to come.
Now, 14 years, one kiddo, one dog, one cat, and six books later, Rietta is still writing, podcasting, and bringing her creative visions to life.
What a book! This book deserves way more than 5 stars! It deserves the entire galaxy! It was fantastic! I love Drea and Lucas so much. Their back and forth was amazing. The storyline is heartfelt and incredible. I didn’t want it to end. And then it did and I’m shocked by the ending, what a cliffhanger! My mouth is still on the floor.
Rietta’s writing is incredible. You can tell she not only loves writing but she is passionate about the characters she writes and creates. This book had me sobbing crying and then five seconds later laughing hysterically. The things the characters went through in life were so realistic and heartbreaking. But their realities also had happy moments, showcasing that push and pull which was absolutely amazing and entertaining to read.
My favorite part of this book was Drea and how dance is helping her through her pain and how she is in turn, is helping others through their own pain with dance, absolutely beautiful! This book is a must read. I found Rietta Boksha on Instagram. Her posts are beautiful, inspiring and so fun to view. I am so glad not only that I read this book, but that I got to read Rietta’s beautiful story and can’t wait to read so much more by her. I mean I need to go find out what is going down with Drea and Lucas from this cliffhanger! This is an absolute love and must devour!
A Dance To Remember was a sweet and emotional read and i really enjoyed it !
it was fast-paced, and i found the story really entertaining.
however, there were some parts in this book that kind of annoyed me.. the main characters, for example. i mean i know they experienced such bad things in their life that made hard for them to open up for each other, but they both acted so childish sometimes 😭 thank god there were tara and victoria who helped Drea, though..
overall, i liked this book and i’m eagerly anticipating to read the next book.
what to expect :
- enemies to lovers - amputee/veteran mmc - alpha male - HEA - ends on a cliffhanger‼️ (grab the second book asap)
biggest thanks to the author for the free copy of this book i love you to the moon and back🫶🏻
If I could have, I would have sat all day reading this one. I instantly fell in love with the characters and story. I found myself sad, happy, embarrassed, laughing, thinking figured something out, to being shocked at the end. I really try not to buy the sequel before I’ve read the first but I am kicking myself for not having it sitting here. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
