Everyone knows in the hood that Christmas doesn't come in December...it comes in April -- TAX SEASON! Follow this crazy ratchet drama about three Chicago women trying to make money moves with their tax refund checks.
I am just absolutely done with Damonte' and his no good Mama that was pure evil. Screwing Caresha out of her tax money. I can't believe they did that. I'm glad that Jazmine is finally finding out the truth about her aunt and her grannies house she left her. Mikayah is something else but every dog has their day and karma's no man's friend. Come on pt2. I can't wait this is a 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐hitta in my book.
I promise Quan writes realistic stories. I first would like to say how im proud of Jasmine. I don't know if it's a good idea to have Caresha living with her, she doesn't know her like that. Caresha should of got her taxes thenext morning when she got her W2, she should of acted normal and then dipped. Lamont is stupid. Can't wait for book 2
Every time I see a quan Millz book come out I know I am in for a treat. This author does not hold back . He totally brings it! The character development in this book was very well done. I'm looking to read part 2 and it is already out I will talk to you all later
You never cease to amaze me. I been waiting for this book. And I'm absolutely hooked. There was some surprises. I'm interested in what's going to happen to Jasmine aunt
This book had me from the beginning couldn't stop reading. When Mills you always write some fire books. Damonte was wrong for cheating on his babymamas. I hope he gets what he deserves
The fact that this has a higher review score than The Iliad is sending me into a spiral. Also Trey deserves a man who will love him openly I SAID WHAT I SAID!
(My bookclub bullied me into reading this hot garbage)
I thought there would be a lot more thot type behaviour considering the title of the book. Instead, I got an in-depth lesson on the US tax system. Thanks, Quan! Come next tax season, I’ll be recommending Liberty Tax to all of my American friends.
Boy you talk about some shady people they are all in this book I am so going to buy book 2 I just need to find out how all of this mess is going to end question why is it that some mothers of sons did not make them stand up and be a man not be in the street hustling but I guess in some instances the apple doesn't fall far from the tree
I loved this book and I'm so ready to read the next installment. Quan Millz always delivers. This is a story filled with all sorts of drama, no matter which character you're viewing the story through at the moment. I'm definitely stalking the author's Facebook page because I have to know what happens next. You definitely will sympathize with some of these characters and be hoping that others get their comeuppance.
Dang. This Author is doing the dann thing with these books! Tax season is real for some folks. It's a thing for real. I like how he added humor to it. They wanted to do the most with one check. Liberty though? I enjoyed this book. I like how Caresha and Jasmine ended up getting their acts together in the end. Some of the characters weren't as fortunate. I recommend this book. It's funny but touches on some real issues too.
This book kept me wanting to read more and more. The writing held my attention and just wanted the villain to hurry and get caught. The story line contained intrigue, love, visions of strong black women, betrayal, survival strong points and more. Recommendations would be to family and friends.
I like this author. He usually keeps me entertained and laughing with his ghetto, ratchet books. But this book was actually a GOOD BOOK that I read in one sitting. While it's still kinda ghetto and ratchet the characters were well-written and I thoroughly recommend this book.
This book reminded me of a Tubi movie. The whole book had me cracking up and surprised me from the very beginning🤣🤣🤣These women aren't thots either, just misguided young ladies dealing with some fucked up men. Luckily, everyone lived happily ever after? I think Quan Millz' books are literally Tubi films in book form. Can't wait to read another one of his novels.
Perhaps this is a phenomenally brewed cup of tea, it was clearly just not MY cup of tea. After seeing Quan Millz hype, this seemed among the [relatively] more innocuous titles. The dialogue was too much for me. I ended up DNFing, but I respect the commitment to the concept and, indisputably singular, writing style. It is either very zeitgeisty or I am too chronically online.
Very entertaining. Dramatic almost like a soap The characters came to life with the discprction. Actually for once the title matches the book. Very well put together read in a out 5 hours . Waiting for part 2 .
Omg I cant believe demonte did that I cant wait to see what going to happen next when she bout her money omg that's messed up I hope she report him this is too good cant wait for the next read
Caresha is not a good friend. I understand that some friends have good looking men but as a friend you should never cross that line. I can’t wait to find out what Caresha is going to do about her check and not being able to claim Isis.
Lamont was cool but a hoe, Damonte was just down right trifling and Trey who knows. These woman bout to set it off with these trifling men. Loved it moving to part 2.
I can’t wait for Jasmine to find out about her shady best friend! Damonte is wrong for taking Caresha tax money!! His mother is the typical hood tax scammer! Definitely going to read the next book to see the drama unfold.
I was pleasantly surprised by the storyline and the ending. The baby daddies in the story pissed me off at first but as I got further into the book, I understood them a little more. The ending blew me away. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
I love Caresha! A lot of the time it’s just best to take the high road and just be REAL! I’m glad connections were made ❤️ I’m so glad trey & d were accepted and was told to be free & happy instead of constant bashing
