‘There is only one medicine for your pain - time. Believe me, one day just like this tree, your life will have fresh leaves and flowers. The next season when winter comes, you will feel the coldness of the air touching you like never before, fresh and loving. It will not carry anything from your past, only a promise of a beautiful future.’
🍂
This is a story about few unfortunates, Swati, Meera, Tanya and Ritesh, Each person seeking answer for their journey through harsh reality of their life. Swati with her almost broken relationship and a 'so much caring' friend, is in dilemma whom she should choose. Meera with her husband engaged in extramarital and two children. Tanya, a born unfortunate and Ritesh, a heartbroken. What they don't know about each other is that they are all linked with a dark past.
🍂
The entire story is written in first person narrative with multiple POVs. This story kept me engaged because the pace is really good and every chapter has a unique turn although a bit stretched. Every chapter narrates through the daily events and struggles they are going though and important things they are learning from it. The book coveys a good message that is 'why always children suffer for their parents wrongdoings?'. Author has successfully created a story that will keep everyone engage and as well as they will learn something from it. There are so many line that are so meaningful. Writing style is good and the title is appropriate. What is really amazing is the plot arrangement and scene change. The revelations left me so awestruck that I just freezed for sometime after finishing the book and then let the book absorbs into me. I'm satisfied after reading this book.

The book The Unfortunates: and yet life goes on starts with Swati's random diary note, Meera's Prologue, Tanya's unfortunate since birth and Ritesh's Shahrukh at heart. The story revolves around these 4 different individuals that are facing different life crises in their journey of life but yet are related together. The story is about how a single decision can affect so many lives and at the same time, karma a vicious cycle that no human mind can understand will catch on, in part of life. So what is that thing that connects everyone together?

My Take:

The book is a perfect blend of uniqueness and suspense. The ending is what I like the most. The secret reveling and all the answers. Author Abhinav Mishra has written this book with detailed emotions and heartbreaks. I like the way the author has developed very realistic characters, that even after the hurt and loss they still end up giving chances to the same person. Isn't it what we do in real life? The story-line and other events are smoothly narrated. And I do believe in Karma what goes around comes around, and this is the perfect story for that. And at the end the short note from the Author's desk, his confusion in life, he asks one question that most of us ask our-self.

Overall I liked this book and if you are looking for a unique story then read now the story of The Unfortunates: and yet life goes on by Abhinav Mishra.

As the title of the book suggested, I knew from the very beginning that the story wouldn't have a happy ending. Also not every story does have a happy ending and why some things happen to us in a way that makes us question life is also unanswerable to us. The author has nicely portrayed that not every question in our life has an answer and the vicious circle of karma works in a way that we can't at times understand.
The story starts about 4 individuals: Meera whose story is dated back in 19th century, Ritesh who falls in love with a muslim girl but is left heartbroken but soon finds love of his life which again he cannot be with, Tanya who has always longed for a mothers love and had an abusive relationship falls for someone who turns out she cannot be with and lastly Swati when she finally realises who the love of her life is, she is given a shock as to how she too wont be able to be with the person she loves.
We all always want to be with the one we love or the one who loves us, but what if the person we love leaves us or what if the person we love cannot be with us because of life being unfair?
It will be our misfortune or as we can say we will be unfortunate enough to have love in life as the title of the book suggest.
I never knew the dots will connect so perfectly in the end and that made the story more interesting.
Worth the read.
Brilliant plot.

"Whatever happened was for good, whatever is happening is for good and whatever will happen will happen in the future will also be for good"

The book is filled with deep-held beliefs, Hope, Love, Betrayal, Revenge, Challenges, Faith, Parental love etc. Truth to be told, it's an emotional read. This is a story about a few unfortunates, Swati, Meera, Tanya and Ritesh, Each person seeking an answer for their journey through the harsh reality of their life.

Each character is described well in the book. The book is open-ended and the language is too simple to understand. Several life questions are answered and the book also teaches the role of 'Karma' in our life.

If you can't deal with harsh emotions like Betrayal, Revenge then this is not for you because I was engrossed in the story that it took me a while to get over.

The story of Unfortunates is all about how Karma hits us.

An absorbing tale of love and friendship that explores if there is more to what we see in them.

Book: The Unfortunates - and yet life goes on
Author: Abhinav Mishra

We all realize, sooner or later, that what makes our life beautiful are our relationships. And whoever has been in one knows that they don't turn out as we would like. Some things work out right, some don't. Life throws some lovely twists along the way and sometimes, destroys us beyond belief. And although we try hard to achieve ideal relationships, the resulting mishmash of sweet and sour memories and feelings is what most of our relationships turn out to be.
Seems unfair right? But, is it, really? The Unfortunates" explores if the Karmic cycles play a part. What if what we reap is indeed the result of what we have sown over lifetimes.
💛❤️🧡♨️💚💜🖤
A needy Swati, staying away from home, requires someone to take care of her always. And that is her expectation from love.
An innocent Ritesh, once head over heels in love, looses faith in it after a heartbreak. And that too when love comes calling.
A love-obsessed Tanya is faced with the choice of crossing all limits to make her man happy-or leaving him.
A mother of 2, Meera, is distraught as she faces the world for the first time after her husband leaves her.
💛❤️🧡♨️💚💜🖤
The author introduces Swati, Ritesh, Tanya and Meera in separate storylines and moving through various stages in their relationships. The college trips and meetups, the abusive boyfriends, blistering heartburns and the sweet solace of all forgiving love easily draws you in and stay with you long after you're done reading. But even more memorable are these characters; all well devoloped and relatable. The way they discover the nature of friendship and love, their own changing selves and find inner strength that they did not know existed is wonderfully penned.
💛❤️🧡♨️💚💜🖤
The plot in the first couple of pages may seem confusing as they are separate storylines. But all 4 storylines grow on you as the pages keep turning themselves and by the time they converge in the latter half, the reader is already hooked in.
And they converge in ways most unexpected. Revelations after stunning revelations unfold as the plot cruises towards a sinful secret - a deadly act of desperation committed in decades past that changes their lives forever.
Even pacing and good editing throughout.
💛❤️🧡♨️💚💜🖤

Easy 5 out of 5.

"All of us are characters to the perfect story of someone else's book. We will never know why he made us like this or why are we the way we are. It is just that He wrote the story for us this way".

Swati , Tanya , Meera and Ritesh are on their journey to find love. All the characters suffer from difficulties but they face life challenges head on. Towards the end , they realise that they were linked together in this journey.

Each character is described well in the book. The book is open ended and the language is too simple to understand. Several life questions are answered and the book also teaches the role of 'Karma' in our life.

Towards the end, the past unravels and leaves the four characters in shock !

Name of the book- The Unfortunates: and yet life goes on by Abhinav Mishra.
Stars given - 5 on 5 stars.
My take on the book-
Remember those movies with a big star cast, lots of stories which in the end somehow make up a big picture about life, which were based on one big holiday or the other? Like Valentine's Day or New Year.
If you liked those, you will like this book too cause it is based on the biggest event of the century, that's called life.
I am a big believer in Fate and all things Karma.
I do believe what goes around comes around.
So, I had a whale of a time reading this book.
The language is awesome and so is the book cover, I mean who knew orange can look so appealing.
Kudos!

Meera, Swati, Ritesh and Tanya, four people, for unfortunate lives. Meera, whose husband left her for another woman sails out on a quest to get him back. Swati, whose love life has always been haywire. Ritesh, who has problem moving on with all the events in his life. Tanya, who has never experienced the love of family.

When these four lives see a ray of hope, they think that's when their luck is about to change. But will it change? Will they ever be happy? Will their life ever get back on track?

I didn't really think I'll like this book so much. When I started reading it, I didn't know I'll be halfway through it. It's gripping and interesting. Characters are well written. And their relationship development with side characters was commendable.

I really loved the way book is narrated. Ignoring few grammatical mistakes here and there, it really was a refreshing read for me. I was skeptical towards the end as to the connection between the main characters. And wow, author didn't disappoint me at all. Although I wanted more details in the climax part but it was nice. I so wished the climax would have been opposite but I really liked it.

The cover didn't really piqued my interest but the title is very apt relating to the story. I would really love to see more people reading it.

"There is only one medicine for your pain-Time. Believe me, one day just like this tree, your life will have fresh leaves and flowers."
.
Swati is in a relationship that is dying.
Ritesh is heartbroken.
Meera's husband is having an extramarital affair and has left her.
Tanya is devoid of love.
.
What do all these individuals have in common? They are all unfortunates. They have their own issues, but somehow fate has linked them all. How? .
The story is written is multiple POVs and each story is engrossing. The author has brilliantly maintained the flow and the pace of the story, in simple lucid language. Rarely do such simple stories give out a strong message that stays with you and this is one of those books. Each story has its own beauty but each of them has a common factor ie Karma always does its job.
.
I had a great time reading this one. The author has done a great job with his debut book. This is a light, entertaining and gripping read. Surely recommended.

Nothing happens by chance, by fate. You create your own fate by your actions. Thats Karma

All the four characters of the book are very nicely written. I loved the characters of Meera and Tanya. Never read such strong characters. The pace of the book is good and the story keeps you hooked till the end.

Heelo Fellas,
#qotd What are your thoughts about life?
Life to me is exactly like Math. I hate Math. I never understood Math. Yet Math has been an integral part of my existence. With each passing day I have somehow become a very mindful person. I have hated my life to core when it has taught me the bitter lessons which today I find immensely helpful. These twists & their accompanying turmoils are impeccably explained by Abhinav Mishra in this book The Unfortunates. Whatever may be your age life has at least once made you feel like an unfortunate. Reading this book did give me flashbacks from my life but at the same time I found answers too. The biggest plus point of reading this book is, you realise that each & everyone has their dark clouds while the only difference is an individual approach. The way I react to a certain situation is surely different than you.
Abhinav Mishra you totally got me crazy with your story telling skills. My mind is blown away to the heaven reading the climax of the story. I was sailing in a boat with a few waves hitting me here & there but as I reached the climax I could not fathom how to breathe. How did you come up with such a brilliant way. I feel so glad to know that life in general is full of surprises. You also bestowed my trust once again in Karma. I have no words to explain how excellently you put forth this concept of Karma & how reading the last line made me go back & think all about my Karma. You are really blessed with this skill of writing. Right from the first line till the last one I felt like I was understanding my life better. The title is my most favorite because it is relatable to all. I was expecting a little different ending yet I am not at all disappointed considering the topic we were talking about. Life. You can never get what you want. You have to earn it.
If you want to find a way out of the turmoils in your present life read The Unfortunates asap. You will automatically be taken on an awesome ride of retrospection & introspection of your own life. You will surely get your answers or the path to your answers.
Make sure you go, read this one to feel less unfortunate & more motivated.
Sending lots of gracious sassiness your way.

The book "The unfortunates : and yet the life goes on " is the debut novel of the author !
🌸
𝕤𝕪𝕟𝕠𝕡𝕤𝕚𝕤:
The story is about four indiviuals:
Swati, who is struggling with her realtionship.
Meera, whose husband is having an extramarital affair and has left her.
Tanya, who never felt ,what is it like to be loved.
Ritesh, who is sharukh by heart and his heart broken.
🌸
It's a story about their journey of fighting with all the unfortunates that life throws at them and finding the reason of, what did they do to deserve all this? Is it because of past or just karma is playing its role?
Are they all connected and is the part of same thread ? What is it?
🌸
𝕄𝕪 𝕠𝕡𝕚𝕟𝕚𝕠𝕟:
This story is wriiten from multiple POVs and the author has done great job with the writing, due to multiple character the story is sorted with multiple alternate chapter of each which requires you to be alert while reading it, you can easily mix it up ,which happened to me!
This story talks about various things, the religious belief, faith, superstition, heart break , hatred, love, but i could not understand one thing that why does all the characters are up for giving second chances to the person who is the reason for their unfortunates , instead of giving that chance to themselves!
The language is simple and easy to read, if you guys are interested in the big masala sort of movie and an unexpected Climax, which was not really unexpected to me, you can surely pick this up! .

An engaged "Karma" story

"Life is never into a straight line.It has lots of twist and turns which is unpredictable. And karma is the cause of all sufferings."
The story is of life of a group adults and teenagers. Due to mistake of adults their childrens are suffering for present. The story initially shows you life' s of Swati,Meera,Ritesh and Tanya in a diffrent manner.Meera is the mother and the rest three are teenagers.Their journey how do they face difficult situations and how they are initially messed up with their own love life's.
As you read the story,in start it seems like you are reading 4 different scene's of stories, but then gradually these all unfortunates are connected with each other.
The ending part of the story is worth reading, than you will come to know as to why this and that! Karma had played a very big role throughout the story.I liked the way how author has set the story into multiple parts and then all further with an unpredictable story. Unless you do not read the ending, you would not get the whole story of the book.

Recommended ❤️

The Unfortunates by Abhinav Mishra is a book which brings out the vicious cycle of Karma and how humans have no control over Fate.
The book narrates the story of four individuals and their unfortunate journey:
⭐ Swati
⭐ Meera
⭐ Tanya
⭐ Ritesh

The book opens with a random note from Swati's diary where we find her in a critical dilemma whether to move on or to stay in a current relationship. Then we got to know about Meera who is deeply religious initially consider her married life as happiest part but it soon turns out worse for her. Then author narrates the story of Tanya who lost her mother but still hopes for a better life in a relationship. Then author moves on to narrate the story of Ritesh who falls in love but as the title suggest "Unfortunates", he too suffers miserably.
What I love most about the book is that all the characters constantly move despite of the hardships they face in their life. These four characters give hope to readers and this what makes his characters special.

Engaging story and interesting plot

"The Unfortunates" by author Abhinav Mishra is such a unique book which keeps the readers at the edge of their seats. The story revolves around the 4 different characters Swati, Meera, Tanya and Rishi who come out of their comfort zone to find love among several difficulties. The hardships which seem challenging make them strong with the passage of time. This is the way the storyline goes parallely with the plot. Author has done the narration part very much gripping. Language was lucid, storyline is not even a bit slow-placed. Characters are expertisingly well-developed. Grammars and punctuations are on point. Moreover the title and the cover have done their part well to attract readers. I really enjoyed reading the book.

My Rating to the Book : 5/5

"The Unfortunates: and yet life goes on" by Abhinav Mishra is the story of four individuals - Tanya, Ritesh, Swati, Vaibhav. Eventually they are all interconnected and unfortunate in their journey.

I am amazed after reading the entire book, it is a spectacular work by the author. The book is very smooth going, wouldn't let you hint about the climax till the end.

While reading I thought in the middle section, the story is abit stretched out, but in the end everything makes sense and it was mind-blowing. The author has done a brilliant job writing this story.

It is a book which is going to embark on your hidden emotions, and the writing styling is going to make you relate with the book so much, that you feel you are actually living that particular character in the book.

Awesome!

The Unfortunates, and yet life goes on by Abhinav Mishra!

This book is about 4 separate individuals, Swati, Meera, Tanya & Rishi, each leading their own lives with no knowledge of the other.

Life is hard for each of them as they have been dealt some really harsh cards by life.

At first it appears to be a story of each individual on an innate basis but over the course of the book, things start unravelling and a lot of the misfortune that the protagonists have been dealt starts to make sense.

All the characters are on their way to find love and the hardships they face over the course of it all makes up for quite a beautiful story.

The flow of language is so easy to follow that it feels like you are watching a movie. The characters have been developed so beautifully that you fall in love with every change that the characters undergo.

This book is worth every penny you spare on it!

A book about change.

They say change is the only constant, people change, feelings change and so does love and relationships. This book speaks about change and the effect of that change on relationships and those who are involved in it. I think this happens a lot in our life, so I guess many of us can relate with the plot. The language used is fluid and is successful in inducing a sense of realism. This book promises truth not comfort. Might be a good read for the weekend.

A fine read

The book is different. The plot is quite unique and the characters are well built. The language of the book is simple and easy to understand. I felt that the narration could have been better, otherwise it is a very decent read that you can finish off in one sitting. GoodReads for a journey. The cover is good as well and the blurb doesn't give away much of the details while making you want to read the book.

Good book

You can either love someone or hate them. The problem arises when you don’t know whether to love or hate.

The first line of the book intrigued me. This is the story of four person Tanya, Ritesh, Swati and Meera who were unaware of each other and living their life, dealing with their own problems. It is the story of their journey of love, despair and finding their purpose in life. Language is clear and narration is beautiful. You will surely love reading this book.

I really loved how each of the characters had a story to tell in the narration. It was a great way of storytelling for me without having a mixup in characters outlining. The complex and hapless lives of these individuals is really heart touching and I was actually glued to learn what happens next in the story. The Plotline is very unique and unexpected till the end but what irked me most was the grammatical and language formatting error! Reader in me would have overlooked this but the reviewer in me was coming out every now then to point out these errors and it was kind of distracting. Overall, this could have been a great story if it was edited and refined having a good grip on the language and could have been a solid 4 star rated for me!

A Good Read

The writing is crisp and compact.. The characters are relatable and you tend to root for them.. If Ritesh makes a guy remember their own romance of their youth, Tanya and Swati are in the element of their own.. Meera is supreme in her struggle and protection for her children.. Yet it's the Story of Karma and Present... Well written by Mr. Abhinav Mishra... Looking forward for the new book... Kudos.. Keep up the good work...
