Dr. R.C. Sproul (1939–2017) was founder of Ligonier Ministries, an international Christian discipleship organization located near Orlando, Fla. He was founding pastor of Saint Andrew’s Chapel in Sanford, Fla., first president of Reformation Bible College, and executive editor of Tabletalk magazine.

Ligonier Ministries began in 1971 as the Ligonier Valley Study Center in Ligonier, Pa. In an effort to respond more effectively to the growing demand for Dr. Sproul’s teachings and the ministry’s other educational resources, the general offices were moved to Orlando in 1984, and the ministry was renamed.

Dr. Sproul’s radio program, Renewing Your Mind, is still broadcast daily on hundreds of radio stations around the world and can also be heard online. Dr. Sproul produced hundreds of lecture series and recorded numerous video series on subjects such as the history of philosophy, theology, Bible study, apologetics, and Christian living.

He contributed dozens of articles to national evangelical publications, spoke at conferences, churches, and academic institutions around the world, and wrote more than one hundred books, including The Holiness of God, Chosen by God, and Everyone’s a Theologian. He signed the 1978 Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy and wrote a commentary on that document. He also served as general editor of the Reformation Study Bible, previously known as the New Geneva Study Bible.

Dr. Sproul had a distinguished academic teaching career at various colleges and seminaries, including Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando and Jackson, Miss. He was ordained as a teaching elder in the Presbyterian Church in America.

“Part of the perfect humanity of our Lord Himself is that Jesus of Nazareth never made an illegitimate inference. He never jumped to a conclusion that was unwarranted by the premises. His thinking was crystal clear. His thinking was coherent. His thinking was sound. Never has the world experienced such sound thinking as that which was manifest in the mind of Christ. As we are called to imitate our Lord, I plead with you to make it a matter of chief and earnest business in your life to love Him with all your mind.”

In this book of the Crucial Questions Series, author R.C. Sproul takes a look at the way we as Christians should think in light of our salvation. With a heavy emphasis on logic and the rationality of the Christian faith, Sproul showcases the philosophies that have come about because of the Christian’s search for logic and meaning in the beliefs he espouses. If you have ever wondered how you should think rationally about your faith, this book is a great starting point for understanding some of the deeper philosophical ways of reasoning for your faith.

Rational on holistic life

Having a faith does mean an irrational things, rather having a faith we need to keep rationale. This book doesn't mean as a philosophical book, but only posed as an introduction to have a rational mind in walking the holistic life.

This is an excellent, brief study on the important connection between faith and logic. The author argues that Christianity is fundamentally rational, despite what its critics might say. He also exposes the irrational thinking of the naturalists, or those who claim to be atheists or agnostics.

Excellent!!

I was expecting to learn about that in a biblical way, well, what he said it's biblical but is like more in a filosophal way, and I really loved it, but as I said I was expecting something more practical.

Excellent 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a good but meaty read… You really need to focus on what the author is saying and reread sections, but well worth the effort…

The Discipline Over the Mind

An excellent read on disciplining our mind to think on Godly things above, the ability to say no on what is not Scripture & yes to faith

Great book! Started off a little slow but comes all together in the end. Great book on thinking critically and how you should think about reality as a Christian. Great apologetic points!
