Sometimes the past won't stay dead. Shelby’s suffered at the hands of her husband for too long. Rather than endure another beating, she risks everything and escapes with the creatures who brought about the downfall of the world.
The fey aren’t as horrible as her husband made them out to be. Sure they can kill with a flick of their fingers, but they’re also loyal, built like gods, and craving female affection. With the fey, Shelby might finally find a sense of safety and even a second chance at learning what real love looks like.
But it’ll take more than one fey to keep her safe from a past that isn’t yet ready to be history.

Sadly, this turned out to be the one I liked the least in the series. And it's definitely not because of the reverse harem/poly aspect. I am actually really happy about that and already wished for it to happen in Terri's story (Demon Discord).
But unfortunately a lot of things didn't work for me. It was not the first time I had the impression that the fey veered away from respecting cosent and instead got more and more pushy. And frankly, it crossed some boundries now and then. And that's not what I am here for. I came for some sweet fey himbos and it was not delivered. I expected there to be a lot more tenderness, considering from what kind of relationship Shelby came from but instead the fey were way more intrusive than I could handle in this story.
Apart from that, Some Choice were made that just didn't sit right with me. Shelby was like barely out of a very abusive relationship and we have a 18 y.o. young man basically telling her to let it go and move on lol ... instead of actually listening to her warning about her ex who posed a real threat not only to her but to the community they lived in. Turns out, she was right. But why listen to an abuse surivor. Guess, "moving on" didn't cut it when an abusive partner is concerned. I know, shocking. Even when everything else dies in an apocalypse, you can trust that good ol' mansplaining will still be around to lecture a woman through the day.
It was clear that the book would lead to a final confrontation with Shelby's ex but I was still taken aback about the choice to have him violate her the way he did. I am honestly really shocked. In addition to the drugging and the abduction it felt like too much and a lot of trauma to put on the Shelby only to shrug it off within a couple of pages. It didn't feel right and didn't feel necessary to me. But when Shelby was basically fine within a page and instead we got her needing to calm down her fey boyfriends because they were apparently more shocked than the person who went through to trauma herself, hmmm.... let's just say this was a choice that left a bad taste in my mouth.
I am sad that I didn't enjoy this one the way I enjoyed other books in the series but I am still looking forward to the finale, Molev's story. Maybe we get more cute bonus and side stories for some other feys, I definitely wouldn't mind.

I really love this series. I didn’t pay attention to what this was about when it was released. I just bought it without question. I was thinking it was the last in the series and I was sad about that. Imagine my surprise that it was “just” a novella before the end. It was not novella length which was extra awesome. Loved it.
I was excited then I saw this was a throuple (mfm)… but it was just really boring nothing going on except day to day stuff.. This series used to be interesting and exciting but I won’t be reading anymore from this series it is just stretched too far now.
It had potential but the result was lacking. Menages and reverse harems are my favourite kind of books because i like the diversity of the characters and the different aspects and dimensions that a relationship between three or more people could be developed . This menage was disappointing for me because i couldn't feel the bond and the connection between them and the sex scenes weren't really passionate and there wasn't real sharing with her men.
"And I loved it. Being touched by both of them." 😌🤌🏽
“If you hold on to the past, it will blind you to the future we’re trying to build. Instead of holding onto hope, you’ll cling to fear."
" And I loved it. Being touched by both of them."
"I grinned at the pair, loving every second of the attention they gave me. I never wanted this to end, and now, the fear that it would was gone forever. Finally, I could live."
Shelby is punished for following her abusive husband, out of fear and because she hasn't felt like she's worth more. But when Turik sees what he's done to her - beat her, gotten her exiled from Tenacity, and taken her to a place that puts her in more danger - he knows, he needs to intervene. When his roommate Vorx doesn't object to her moving in with them, the dynamic between the three of them changes. She'll need the protection of both fey while her ex is still alive. Plus, something is changing with the infected and the hellhounds that puts everyone in more danger.
I couldn't help but read this in one sitting. It involved more sexy-time, but it also showed the heart and determination it takes to live in this time after the Fae changed the world. I love these stories, and each one brings a new perspective with it. I'll be disappointed when they come to an end, but that's the way it is with book series' I love.
I inhaled this book in one sitting. Stop reading if you dont want spoilers. I MEAN IT this containers a small spoiler. When I noticed the auto download and email I squealed and cringed because I knew it was going to be a long night. Is one is. SO. GOOD. I love a good reverse harem. Love love love. And both of her men are sweet. Do not skip this book. I’m so glad I bought it!! M.J. Haag (no matter which pen name) is an automatic one click buy and I’m never disappointed <3
I wasn’t sure about this story at first because of the two love interests but I ended up liking it a lot. There was some darker moments in this story because of the abuse that Shelby endured as well as her history with her husband. I liked his comeuppance (probably more than I should!) and thought that it was great. Shelby, Vorx, and Torik were really sweet together but there was also spice. Steam level was enjoyable too. Although this book wasn’t a traditional romance, I still recommend reading it.
Another wonderful addition to the series. And I'm so glad Shelby wasn't punished for the sins of her awful husband. It warmed my heart for her to get a happily-ever-after.
**SPOILER**
This is the only book in this series that's a reverse harem, and I LOVED IT !! It breaks my heart this series is nearly over. I would love to see another pairing of a human woman and two fae.
This book has all the feels. Heartbreak. Hope. Happiness.
I might be a little burnt out on reverse harems but...this felt 100% different. I agree that I think this happy lil bugger grew out of it's O.G. planter pot and into a beauty. But consider this my personal call for more...thruples? You're awesome M.J. and I'll maybe hope for some dark fairytale group romance? I'm not sure how you get inspired. But either way. No matter what you write I'm here girly! Ready for Molev and the grand finale. <3
5 stars because this is actually a reverse harem book. I would have removed 3 stars if it ended any differently and would minus an extra star for the annoying characters in the feight club. But I settled on 5 stars because I realized that I was reading this book with so much anticipation and it delivered.
This is my first reverse harem book by the way so I have nothing else to compare it to. I didn't really like Shelby but I liked the story.
I am not a huge fan of harem books of any kind even reverse however, this one was not to bad I did like both vorx and Turik so it would have been hard to choose and it was written good so that it wasn’t to annoying reading her choosing 2 males they don’t fight and they both love her I did think this book didn’t have as much world information to much erotic scenes not enough adventure so I actually skipped pass a lot of scene so I can’t give 5 stars
This is by far my favorite interim story — too long to be a novella, which is a good thing because there is so much that Shelby needs to overcome after being exiled with Nat and his awful crew and the continued advancement of the infected. I don't want to spoil, but be sure to go into this romance with an open mind. It's a perfect HEA for now for Shelby and her fey.
Once again, another great addition to the Resurrection Chronicles! I loved the progression with Shelby and her 2 fey, and that she also gets her own HEA. I couldn't put it down until I was done! This did end up as a menage, instead of just a fey and a girl, so readers who are not into menage or RH, probably won't appreciate this so much. But I truly enjoyed it!
Enjoyed this entry into the series. The author apologized for making this RH but I didn’t have a problem with it. It actually seems like a natural outcome considering the attitudes of the demon guys towards women and the fact that there aren’t many women left around. Seems like she is getting ready to wrap up the series with the next book. There’s a lot going on with the devil dogs so we’ll see.
This was different from the other fey books! But I still loved it!! VERY heavy on the sexy, but still a good story as well. And so steamy. Like rated R steamy. The book also had great humour and it was fabulous to catch up with some previous characters as well.
Please, please, PLEASE write more like this. I was obsessed with these three. Truly. My favorite author writing my favorite genre: RH? Gods I need that in my life. I adored Shelby’s grit so much and the tender care Vorx and Turik had for her. Their story was beautifully written. Spicy with active engagement in the storyline. Loved it.
This series is just so good. Super glad to see the author flex her skills with MFM. Loved that Shelby got a story and every one of these books are amazing. Reading these in order is a must and you will fall in love with this series.
I loved that this was RH with so many Fey it was bound to happen. I also like that these two were more playful and teased her. I’m definitely sad that the series is coming to an end. I could read these stories forever!
Haag's characters are amazing. They're so real and their interactions are so down to earth and engaging. They also have wonderful emotional growth. This one is also very spicy. ;)
I knew Shelby’s story would be interesting! She had a hard time being accepted back due to “ her part in stealing and being excelled”. I love reading about the Fey and how sweet and loving they are to the women!
I have enjoyed reading this story and I look forward to reading more of them, you take a person on a journey as the young women so that you become apart of the story.Thankyou from a bookworm that loves to read
I was so reluctant on reading this. I get tired of Reverse harems anymore because they usually just focus on one thing. Yet this one had actual story with it! I’m so happy I took the chance and continued my rez binge!
