Chase and Meghan
This was a quick read that had second chance romance with tragedy and emotions. Chase and Meghan were childhood friends until the unthinkable happens and Meghan and her mom move away.
Meghan was always on Chase’s mind. They do finally meet up again at college with both on a different path. Meghan is running from her past and Chase is looking forward to the NFL. Will they get their second chance?

Meghan and chase grew up together. Child love that grew with age. She thought they would get together later in time. One night changed their life. After her father had a heart attack. Meghan moved away with her mom. Chase never gave up looking for her. So now that they are both in college time stands still. Memories and emotions cross. Their not the same people they where back then. She’s running away from her problems. His making his dream come true. NFL is all he lives for, until she walk back into his life. What will he choose? broken grey or football … can’t wait to see what happens next ..

This story packs a punch and a half!
Once I started reading FIRST DOWN, I could not stop. It was so compelling, so full of emotion, so ‘grab you by the seat of your pants,’ that there was no way I could have stopped reading. Until I was done. By then, I needed to catch my breath.
The story is about a girl named Meghan Grace and all those that circle in her orbit. The story takes the reader on an emotional journey through many ups and downs. Lots of heart-breaking aspects of her life make her who she grows up to be.
This story is worth the time spent reading it. I promise. It ends in a cliffhanger. I admit it; I immediately bought the book 2. I’m so glad I did.

Meghan and Chase grew up together, but when one night changes their lives forever, she leaves town with her mom, and Chase never gave up on searching for her. Now they are both in college, but Meghan is running from her past, and is nothing like the girls she used to be, while Chase is completely focused on an NFL career. This is a well written story which has secrets, grief, angst, drama, humor, tragedy, emotions, and is an entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

First Down is the first book in the series of the same name, as well as the first book by this author that I have read. I loved reading Meghan and Chase's story, that began when they were kids. Meeting up again in college, she is trying to escape her past and he never stopped looking for her. I found this to be a wonderful story that once I started I couldn't put it down. Fun short little book that definitely has me excited and ready for the next one! Humor, a little drama and some spice make for a great short story. Meghan is running away from her past, the tragedies in them have made her into a different person. Will Chase accept the new her?
