**THIS COLLECTION CONTAINS NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN BONUS MATERIAL. IT HAS BEEN RE-EDITED FOR SMOOTH TRANSITIONS INTO THE EXTRA CONTENT & BONUS SCENES. AS A RESULT, IT SLIGHTLY VARIES FROM THE INDIVIDUAL BOOKS, WHICH ARE STILL AVAILABLE IN THEIR ORIGINAL FORMATS.** Quarantined→ Desolate & Isolation→ Essential→ New York City—not a place for the faint-hearted or the sweetest of souls. After all these years, I never expected to be back in the city—least of all, to be back in this house. The place where it all started, the very place I’ve spent years avoiding. All because of him. But I have no choice. We are all quarantined together in this house. It took the end of the world for me to come back here and face him. Milo Sinclair. Once my legal guardian and savior in life. The person who saved me from drowning in loneliness. Who gave me everything I ever wanted. But then he took everything away from me. Plus interest. He broke me once, I will not let him break me twice. *Dark romance is subjective. Some readers have found this book to be a light read while others were sensitive to the discussions about the pandemic, mental health issues, mature new adults, and dubious situations. Please don't read if those topics offend you. Milo isn’t a normal romance hero, and might not be considered a hero at ALL.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to an organization that benefits those affected by the pandemic. I want to thank you for your contributions in advance by reading this series.

Placeholder for book 1.5 in series (Reid’s pov book 1)
Okayyyy. That was really needed! I’m so torn up now wtf. Obv there were some things I don’t like in a hero w/ Reid’s pov but damn was he IN LOVE😩.
I not so secretly kinda want them together 👀. I ALWAYS gotta a soft spot for i’ve-loved-you-since-childhood> AND yearning-that-makes-you-wanna-throw-up. 🤮🦋🖤🖤
Drethi Anis you’re sick af for this. HOOKED. I sped to book 3 like u wouldn’t believe (& it’s living up to expectations😝)
I’m so happy tho bc, while I wholeheartedly enjoyed book 2, I still favored book 1 & worried how book 3 would be. Eeek!
NOTE ~ book 1.5 is Reid pov ~ •childhood bffs •yearning from him more yearnig -and pining
~ books 1-2 ~ -bffs older brother -forbidden, age gap -noncon dubcon
I read this book first when it was released and decided to do a reread because I wanted to finish the series and I am so glad I did because it was spectacular! Milo is a young man with way too many responsibilities for someone his age, taking care of Reid and Mia. But then he takes on the role of guardian for Raven while going to university and starting a business. Oh my goodness how this young man doesn’t snap….until he loses his ever loving mind with his attraction to Raven. That cliffhanger was devastating and I need to devour more ❤️
Bk 1: QUARANTINED - 10 chapts + bonus chapt after chapt 6 Bk 1.5: DESOLATE - 10 chapters: Reid POV Bk 2: ISOLATION - 10 chapts + bonus chapt after chapt 1 Bk 3: ESSENTIAL - Chapters: Prologue I; Spring II; Summer III; Fall IV; Winter Bonus Chapt; Epilogue
I believe this book series should have made it very clear that, arousal is the body’s defence mechanism to protect itself from pain & injury during a sexual attack. Fear can, therefore, manifest the same traits as arousal, but it’s not an indication of enjoyment or consent (unless discussed prior for roleplaying consensual non-consent purposes - with a safe word). Fear and lust can produce similar physiological effects due to the activation of the body's arousal system, which involves the sympathetic nervous system. This system prepares the body for "fight or flight," releasing stress hormones adrenaline and noradrenaline, which can cause heightened senses, regardless of whether the arousal is due to fear or attraction. The brain may sometimes misinterpret these physiological responses, leading to the perception of sexual arousal in situations where fear is actually the primary emotion. This makes it difficult for the brain to distinguish between them, which could confuse anyone experiencing the effects.
NB: Book 2 is the complete opposite to previous books (i.e., 1 QUARANTINED & 1.5 DESOLATE Reid's POV) tone in series. Milo finally sees the PTSD Raven has been experiencing. Bk 3: ESSENTIAL: 'The structure of this book is different. It's an extended epilogue. It’s divided into 4 parts, through 4 seasons over 2 years. Each part begins with one chapter representing the past & follows Raven & Milo's journey for the same season in the following year.' This bk is very disjointed, unnecessarily & unexpectedly melodramatic to explain a character's sudden action/inaction. But finally provides a conclusion to MC’s story.
Becomes too repetitive, & would have been better as a single book & a Novella (Bk 1.5: DESOLATE - 10 chapters + bonus chapter after chapter 1) from Reids' (& possibly Mia's after she contronts Raven at end of bk 2 "ISOLATION"?) POV. Lack of communication is an ongoing & never broached issue. Also, anger management & the immature false belief it’s an indication of how much someone means to them.
My takeaway from this series is the question What's 'normal'? To me, this book is why we shouldn't push the idea that having children is what 'normal' people do. The false belief that a family isn’t a family without children is so wrong. People shouldn't be judged for choosing not to have children, just like people shouldn't be judged for not marrying, changing your gender identity, or loving someone of the same gender. These 2 families are lucky that they were wealthy & that not only did Milo step up to the guardianship role to the other 3 kids, but that he was also a good, caring & responsible 'parental' figure to them (until Raven turned 17yo). But he didn't have a great male role model. I know this is fictional, but I have to point out the blatant inequality portrayed. The fathers should feel especially ashamed of themselves. Tessa mental illness meant she was physically & mentally unable to parent. Theressa I assume, was clear about not wantng the responsibility of raising a child, & her doctor husband should have done the only responsible thing & had a vasectomy, as that was the least invasive & wouldn't cause long-term negative health effects to a male, unlike surgery for female to not have children. But to basically abandon a child (even before he left the country) after the child's mother had left her, @ 13yo is cruel & inexcusable. The fact that neither father treated raising their children as their role in the marriage is reprehensible in this day & age. Either could have hired a nanny before things had gotten too difficult for their wives/partners, & if their job responsibilities got in the way of becoming the sole caregiver. They could have at least supplied councilling or therapy for their children's emotional needs & issues after they abandoned them. Neglect is also child abuse. The sexist hypocracity that Raven is expected to remain "pure" & made to feel guilty & dirty if she has sex before marriage, while the parents supply a party pad & sex locale for the son’s is extraordinary. Imagine how difficult it is for single parents (anywhere in the world, but particularly in places that don't help their citizens in need ie no 'welfare' benefits), who have to work more than one job to pay rent & expenses, while trying to carve time out to help/teach or just be there for their child(ren) etc. They probably live in a poor or 'bad' neighbourhood, & know that their child/children won't get the chance to further their education (because they lack money, not brains etc), to gain a better paying career, to better their life, so the poverty cycle will likely continue into the next generation & beyond. Add more than 1 child or child(ren) with learning or physical disabilities, or one/both parent(s) being: neglectful, emotionally, physically &/or sexually abusive (&/or: addicts, mentally ill etc) & that is really struggling, not the hyperthetical situations in this book. The world would be a better, less dangerous, fairer & safer place if people made government's: look after the needy & vulnerable, banned privatisation so everyone had free access to well funded healthcare & education. And if society valued more than 'the mighty dollar'. Honest hard-working people would be paid more than 'influencers' & crooked stock brokers, etc. Why is there such a large pay gap? That was not always the case. Why do we let money markets decide who or which profession is more valuable or worthy? We could look at Scandinavian countries as examples of a more balanced/fairer society - look at what they value most, & it isn’t greed, selfishness, or paranoid fear of nonconformity.
Very poorly written. I think it was trying to be "innovative" by scattering the timeline between past/present/future but it was just a jumbled mess. I couldn't get into the characters, I found the sex scenes to be meh, and the characters all sounded the same because the author didn't change up the writing style or dialog manner between points of view.
It wasn't great but it could have been a lot worse.
💕This was such an epically toxic beautiful page turning read💕 I am now a huge fan of this author. The complexity of each character and how their journey from start to finish was told was seriously a joy to read.
There is so much to say about this series and I’m not sure a short review can do it justice but I’ll try.
Premise- The Sinclair family- Milo and his Brother Reid and their sister Mia live in NY they have a very busy father who is a Doctor and a very severely depressed mother. Their parents are basically nonexistent and it falls on Milo to grow up fast and raise his siblings while he is still a kid himself.
Ravens father is BFF with the Sinclair’s father. She grew up in a different state but was extremely close with Reid because they were born in the same day 1 hour apart. She’s also close with Mia who is the youngest Sinclair. Ravens mother leaves her and her father and the result is her father becoming a nonexistent dad. At 13 yrs old they move to NY to be closer to the Sinclair’s and she ends up basically apart of their family.
Through their parents neglect Milo ends up being the sole parental figure for Raven, Reid and Mia even though Milo is only 4 yrs older than Raven and Reid. The dynamic ends up with a whole lot of metal and emotional issues for them all as well as codependent relationships. When Milo turns 18 he becomes Ravens legal guardian.
As the years go by and Milo and Raven grow and change so does their relationship. It becomes very complex and complicated. Milo is beyond in love with Raven to the point that he becomes unhinged with fear of loosing her. Things get out of control and spiral before things come to a head.
What I loved about this series.
- Raven had a very unique and interesting way of thinking and it was refreshing to have a FMC that was more complicated and complex in her thinking process.
- Milo was completely unhinged when it came to Raven. You NEVER question his feelings. I loved his POV. Once him and Raven started a relationship he never looked at another woman. It’s was either her or no one. No one was getting in his way or keeping him for Raven- including herself- he would go to any lengths to have her and keep her.
- Milo💕 I am so I love with this man and his mania. He was so swoony from the moment he kissed Raven he didn’t touch another woman. I also loved that he was only unhinged for her and only her.
- Reid and Mila also played really important parts in this story and it was interesting to see how each persons dis function played into each others.
- The way the noncon/dubcon was done was 👌🏻. It’s hard to explain but it felt like Milo was really just so desperate to connect with Raven that he lost all sense. It wasn’t brutally done it was extra 🔥.
- During the 4 yr separation Milo stayed celibate while Raven spent a few years exploring her sexuality. I loved this cause Milo was a complete man slut for years including a few years he had feelings for Raven - but wouldn’t act on them- so he had his time with OW. Plus with his crazed obsession with Raven it wouldn’t have fit his character and the things he did to have her if he was with OW during their separation. From the moment he kisses Raven he never touches another. Raven on the other hand needs to explore so she knows what she has with Milo and it’s part of her growth.
-There is legitimate Growth in Milo and Raven they work and do what’s necessary to change- somewhat- to heal and be together.
- You really feel the intensity of each character. Their connection was addicting their feelings so extreme that you really felt every emotion along with them.
The whole journey of this couple was heartbreaking, passionate, insane, unhinged, crazed, beautiful, sweet, intense and overall a rollercoaster ride of a Romance. I loved every minute. I didn’t want it to end and I could have so much more of Milo💕
I wish I could express all that happens and how detailed and so well laid out this series is but I’m afraid I’m just can’t do it justice. It’s a must read. Prepare to be sucked in .
This love story is full of triggers, the biggest of which center on consent. If dub-consent or non-consent are triggering for you, this probably isn't the book for you. * * * * * * The romance book genre is full of sub-genres. This one falls under the dark umbrella and then along with that it's plays towards non-consent kink/fantasy. It's important to acknowledge the difference between fantasy non-consent in books vs real life non-consent. A lot of people have these fantasies and the success of books like this is evidence of it. However not everyone shares the same fantasies or kinks. So like I said earlier, this book isn't for everyone. It would be unfortunate for people to review or rate this book poorly because the premise is not their thing.
Beyond that, the author has a solid grasp of language and writing. Editing was ok, I noticed a few errors but not gratuitous. The characters were fleshed out and well rounded, the relationship, while toxic was believable. There were a number of taboo things at play, from age gap, to guardian/ward, to minor/adult, and I thought the author did a good job navigating it all. The main male character is not a nice guy, or a good guy, and is definitely a predator. I never really could root for him. Even at the end, I just couldn't be happy for them. While the issues of consent may have been addressed somewhat, the temper/anger/abuse was never really addressed as resolved or fixed. There were moments where I wasn't able to stay in the fantasy and the informed, experienced adult in me knows that men who lose control at that level (throwing vases, breaking things, leaving the girl cowering in a corner) don't change or get better. That type of abuse tends to escalate and get worse over time. So I guess the HEA ending was hard for me to believe or even invest in.
Outside of that, I would love to see a book/series on Reid. He deserves love and happiness as well. And I wouldn't mind a book series where Raven and Milo's child Damien falls for the adopted sister Layla since we are doing taboo things lol
Regardless how much I didn't care for Milo, I loved the writing, the sex scenes were hot and the story was a good, solid, story. I was fully engaged in these characters and couldn't wait to see what happened next to them. Well done.
Giving this 2.5⭐️ stars rounded up because it had a lot of potential and fit a genre that I was searching for, initially. I liked the concept and the look through time as we read along.
The first book started good and I was genuinely intrigued to see where it would go. But the more I read, the more the non/dub-con started feeling less like fantasy/kink play and much more like real abuse by Milo. Normally, I’m perfectly fine with emotionally intense characters/backstories, and unconventional/taboo romances. I’m also usually okay when it comes to playing with non/dub-con lines and fantasies towards those; however, I could not get past everything that made what I was reading seem not okay at all. I’m talking intense emotional and psychological manipulation, physical and verbal abuse, keeping Raven away from other people/relationships, physical assault/threats of other men who Raven were involved with, physical assault of family members, gaslighting/lying, subtle grooming, and the list goes on. Put that all on top of the many times Milo forced himself on Raven, and it didn’t feel fun anymore. I was enjoying the book to start, but by the time I made it halfway, I was just so uncomfortable. Milo was no longer on a pedestal and at that point I found nothing to like about the guy. He had so much potential to be an emotionally involved and intelligent guy, and it felt like he suddenly switched and was a hollow person whose entire being was built for sex. It irked me, and the “character development” never felt like development.
In the end, I was just hoping for Raven to be with Reid, and for him to save her from what was going on. But of course, there was an insane amount of miscommunication by every single character. Everyone was in this series was absolutely crazy, so maybe Raven and Milo really did deserve each other. I technically DNF’d by 52%, but skimmed the rest of the series only to confirm I didn’t like where the book ended up. The abuse felt brushed away and my takeaway is that I think the trigger warnings for this book need to be extended because this was not simply about mental health and non-con sex. I know what good dark romance is in my eyes, and unfortunately this series was not for me.
Aside from all that, it was not that well written and that made it quite confusing with jumping between time and different POV’s constantly.
The Quarantine Series is not for the faint of heart. This is a very dark story that touches upon many different things that could be triggers. Please check the author’s introduction before reading. This set was very long and included extra content that was not in the original books. This is not an easy book to read. Many times I had to put the kindle down and think and reflect on the story. I didn’t dislike the story. In fact I liked the emotional rollercoaster that the author took me on. This book focuses on Milo and his siblings Reid and Mia and the heroine Raven. Milo is the oldest sibling and therefore is left to raise his brother and sister although he is not much older than them. Raven is essentially abandoned by her father who is heartbroken and her mother who is chasing fame and fortune. So Milo agrees to become her guardian as well. Milo does the best he can making sure they eat right, attends pta meetings and pays close attention to where they are and who their friends are. Throughout the years Milo begins to fall in love with Raven. Raven loves Milo too. Does she love him as a boyfriend or as older brother. The lines get muddled and crossed and Milo begins a sexual relationship with Raven. Is it consensual? Is a seventeen year old mature enough to have and agree to a sexual relationship? This relationship between Milo and Raven effects the whole family in many ways. This story is very angsty and not always in a good way. I did enjoy having the story told in many points of views. I did get somewhat lost and confused in the last section Essential. That last part went back and forth between the past and the present which confused me. If you have no triggers and are looking for a story that requires you be reflective then this is a good book for you.
★ “Although I wasn’t a people pleaser, I was a Sinclair pleaser.“ ★
—>>> The four stories in this boxset absolutely kept me turning the pages. Details of their pasts and presents as well as the multiple POVs served to really illustrate the multitude of tolls and influences the dysfunctional parental figures wrought on their families and how they shaped their ensuing emotional needs, as well as the challenges (financial, emotional, physical, etc.) and their subsequent collective impact on the psyches of their children maturing into their adulthood. Milo and Raven were two of the most memorable and well fleshed-out characters, their hearts’ vulnerabilities flayed open time and time again throughout their journey, though they were their own Milo’s need and lust for Raven drove the whole story:
“I was trying because it was his love that made me. I was trying despite his lust that broke me.”
“In the end, Milo fell for a woman who was just like the mother he resented. In the end, Raven fell in love with the man of her dreams, who was also her worse nightmare.”
This deceptively dark romance is about two broken souls Milo and Raven. Their toxic relationship, a love that will wreck them and break them into pieces is an ultimate guilty read for those of us who loves an anti-hero who is broken beyond repair and is deliciously obsessive when it comes to his queen.
I love taboo romances unless it’s about blood siblings and this one absolutely scratched my itch of reading about one.
I loved the way the author portrayed the relationship of Milo and Raven. It is something which I don’t think I will ever forget reading about years from now.
The push and pull of Milo and Raven broke my heart into a million pieces, the way they tried to make their relationship work despite hurdles and their insecurities makes this a very satisfying read.
For those of you who love taboo romances with an dark obsessive hero who cannot stand living without his heroine, this book is definitely for you.
I decided to jump into this series before I started Organized Chaos when I saw that they were connected. I'm going to recommend that y'all do the same. It goes a long way for character building and connection to the story.
I'll admit the first book took me a few hours to finally get into it enough to finish it. That could all be on me though. As the series progressed the storyline got better and I enjoyed it enough to hop into the boxset and read through all the bonus material as well. Again I recommend reading this series before starting Organized Chaos.
I'm in agreement with some of the reviews in regards to the actual genre of this series. I'd say it's more sensual thriller than romance. It's dark and certainly toes lines of taboo. It will NOT be for all readers. You can cruise reviews but I'll warn, a LOT are spoiler ridden. Just beware.
This is the first book that I’ve read by this author. I went in blind, and very happy that I did so. Because this set is so long, there are lots of tropes within tropes, and I’m not even sure how to describe it. It’s morally dark, borders on the taboo, and some angst. I appreciated the effort the author made to create a world & a history for her characters, which increased my understanding of how things unfolded. What I didn’t like about the story: if you’re going to take on this subject matter (noncon) in a contemporary story, I want the resolution to be more robust than the passing of time. Aside from that, I enjoyed the story and the author’s writing style.
Ok. So, heed the trigger warnings: that his series certainly has them and I have to say at times this was difficult. I went from living and pitying Milo to hating him with a passion. Not sure of my final feelings. Both main characters have major issues. That being said; this is one of the best examples I have read of the art of fiction writing. The 5 stars are for that,. Don’t fail to heed the trigger warnings and give a bad review. The author is very open with the warnings.
This author is new to and if this is her debut I can’t wait to read more!
Milo and Raven both flawed characters, their story had a lot of ups and downs. Their relationship is angsty, full of pain, love and healing. They are each others nightmares as well as each others redemption. I loved the story, it is not for the faint of heart so do mind the authors triggers warnings⚠️⚠️. Love that there is now a spin-off too.
This was a completely dysfunctional family. Everyone was so codependent and not one of them could stand on their own two feet. I couldn’t stop reading the train wreck just to see if anyone turned out ok. I definitely wouldn’t be a good addition to this madness in the real world, but something about how messed up it was kept me reading. I guess that’s a sign of a good book.
DNF @80.1% I just wasn't feeling the final part of this series.
The whole book was full of rape, Not dub/con it was straight up rape, trying to pass it off as being in love. And it's multiple POV's! Including the rapes from her pov and his pov, She self harms herself because of the trauma he kept putting her through... I just couldn't finish it. The first 2 parts were excellent 👌🏼 The climax of the book just didn't 🤯 me. If you know what I mean.
I was very confused from the beginning. I felt like the reader was supposed to know who these characters were going into the first chapter. Did I miss reading a prequel or something? Not a fan of books that are mostly dialogue either, throws me out of the book really quick. I know a lot of people liked this book, but lately I've been really picky in terms of writing.
A bit darker than I usually prefer, there are triggers which mainly concern consent issues between main characters, so it that bothers you - skip it. All things considered this complete set kept me invested in the story and I found characters real. I would recommend it to all who love dark, forbidden romances.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
All your sinfully taboo desire fixed in one! Raven and Milos story is dark, twisted and so much more your hooked from the start and questioning every moment of emotion. the characters draw you in and the detailed story takes you for a whirlwind ride! a great series!.

This book ripped out my heart in the most raw - fucked up way possible. The truth behind the damage caused to people in their early lives and how it translates to adulthood and their relationships is just… it’s on point and devastating. This book is not for the weak of heart.
The first book was actually really good and held a lot of promise of what was to come but then the story just started to go all over the place and I seriously was going to give up halfway through book 3. I stuck it out and although I’d never revisit book 2 or 3 ever again, it was well written, interesting to read but just needed a better
Second time reading this series, my book taste has indeed changed a lot (after reading many toxic, dirty and dark books iykyk). But I still think Reid and Raven would make a good match as well but Milo is too hot to not get the girl he loves 😮💨 The epitome of guilty pleasure 🫡 Nobody that knows me irl should see my Goodreads page after I read this series and loved it 🫣
A fantastic boxset. Deliciously dark and dangerous, not for the fainthearted. Great characters throughout, and a well crafted storyline. Would recommend.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
DNF 30%. Loved Milo as an MMC but Raven annoyed me and their lack of communication drove me insane. Also I felt like the inconstancies between this and the Chaos duet were too obvious for me to overlook.
This was compelling but also confusing at times. The quarantine part was glossed over... I'm not a fan of time jumps and this book was FULL of it. I'm dizzy. I didn't get the whole Reid thing. I do admit I couldn't put the book down and this is my first book by this author.
I have read all 3 books!!! To finally have it as a series box set is like winning the lottery. Your heart will break, mend, be hopefully again, break all over again, just to find the true understanding of being in love.
