This new to me mangaka and manga was ordered because I liked the cover art, because of the reviews and because I haven't come across a lot of working place yaoi/boys love manga yet.

There's no huge drama here, just a fairly self-confident gay man falling for a heterosexual guy he meets while on the job. The particular strengths of this book I think were actually the descriptions of the two main characters in their dealings within their respective workplaces, the supportive ladies at Sakaki's workplace - the love of furniture design ^^ (the first interior cover has Sakaki sitting in an Eames chair ^^).

Weakness - I do not understand why Sakaki fell for Okada, especially since he has avoided giving his heart completely since he realised he was gay. Nor how Okada then eventually becomes gay-for-him, which is a particularly weak trick to turn (nor the way he compliments Sakaki on the fragrance he uses, which I rather doubt a male Japanese businessman would do to a business partner, honestly).

What IS nicely done is the way hetero Okada then throws himself into the relationship, worries about himself and all - when he finally decides to accept Sakaki's feelings and explore them completely, because he himself can't get Sakaki off his mind after he has confessed to him. The scenes are awkward and very believable and tender.

Another strength is that the manga shows the victims of this desire, too - Miyama, the guy who was Sakaki's partner and who had hoped for more than just sex for a long time. He's a totally nice character and doesn't deserve how Sakaki has treated him in the slightest.

This universe is just getting better ✨
You definitely can felt the longing, the romance, the desire that emanates from the main characters. I really enjoyed it 🍻

It's one of the better realistic yaois where the main characters aren't toxic. Could have been a little better but still, it's a good read. I do recommend it to BL/Yaoi lovers who want some good BL with realistic portrayals.

Their story is comparatively better than Miyama's spin-off

Sakaki, gay interior designer, falls for Okada, straight businessman. I liked this, but felt like it was a less well done Doushitemo Furetakunai. Anyway, it seems like it's going for the same feeling, trying to tug at the same heartstrings, but just not quite doing it for me. It felt like it moved a little too fast--the story seems to take place in like a week or something, so I have a hard time feeling that Sakaki is SO PASSIONATELY IN LOVE OMG.

I love the art. Again, it's my weakness.
Sakaki-san is my favourite manga character that will always be mentioned every time someone asked me about megane chara (those who wears glasses). Something about his style and attitude, also his relationship (OK, UST) with Okada captivate me. Another unusual traits in this book is Sakaki's employees who support his relationship with Okada (and at the same time complaining why good men like them aren't available anymore :P)

The romance about gay man who had crush on his heterosexual friend went no deeper then to your ankles. The art is very nice, but the plot line little bit narrow and nothing extraordinary happens.
