Regan wakes for the second time as a lost, confused, and hungry. Now she is joined by her best friend from childhood Emma, a woman who may have the fate of being Regan's first live meal. From there, Regan seeks out the guidance of others of her kind, trying to learn why she was remade as a creature of the night. This is ~not~ a complete novel, but the second issue of the web series hosted at www.MindTheThorns.com. It contains chapters 4 through 6.

About the author

Mr Osterman lives in South-east Michigan with his wife and partner Jennifer, their son Xander and daughter Kaylee. The modest house is also home to four cats, Marley, Mina, Currie and Serendipity. By day, he is a “mild mannered” high school math teacher, and by night a writer and gamer.

He began his writing career in high school, penning back stories and adventures for a variety of characters based in role playing games, such as Dungeons and Dragons and Shadowrun. While he remains a fan of the Cyberpunk genre, he is most interested in science fiction, and historical fiction.

His debut novel, Fantasti*Con, however, is based more on is experiences as an attendee of Dragon*Con, held annually in Atlanta, GA. His current project goes back to his roots in Science Fiction, with a flair history.
