Two Doms. Two Brats. Twice the trouble… and double the fun!
As they begin preparing for the wedding, Charlie longs for someone she can confide in—someone who will understand the unique struggles of her relationship with Sam.
Life on the ranch has left Sam overworked and exhausted, leaving him little time to keep his naughty wife-to-be in line. Hiring his old friend, Nick, to take over as foreman could be just the solution he and Charlie need.
Because Nick isn’t just another ranch hand. He’s a Daddy too, and Charlie is delighted by the prospect of having a friend who finally understands her. But Nick’s wife, Katie, is even more of a brat than Charlie, and it’s not long before she gets them both in big trouble.
The fourth book of the Daddy Takes the Reins series completes the first story arc with Sam and Charlie and delivers the happy ever after they’ve been waiting for, but Nick and Katie’s adventures at the Ranch are just beginning!
USA Today Bestselling Author Kessily Lewel, and her darker side Sadie Marks, are two halves of the same author. All of her work falls under the category of power-exchange romance. Kessily’s books tend more towards sexy romance with a side of domestic discipline, while Sadie has been sticking to sci-fi, with her race of Dominant aliens who are looking for a few good humans to call their own.
She has been in love with fantasy, sci-fi and horror since she was a child. She grew up reading Stephen King, Asimov, Robert Heinlein, and others, so it was only natural that one day she’d write her own worlds—though hers do seem to have a lot more sex and BDSM in them.
A story of two DD/lg couples This is mainly about Sam and his little girl Charlie but enhanced with the addition of Sam's friend Nick and his little girl Katie. After a health scare and hospital stay, Sam realizes that he hasn't kept up with his work or his DD/lg dynamic with Charlie. He hires his friend Nick who has the same lifestyle and work experience. Work seems to be going well but Nick's wife Katie is a brat and influences Charlie so they get into trouble. I enjoyed both couples and the women's brattiness and of course the subsequence discipline that follows.
Too much glee in him always spanking her. If he was perfect it would be differ byent he never got any reprimand and was snarky. But she got spanked. She needed more than this one sided deal.
Book 4 in this wonderful series is an absolute delight as a stand-alone read, however it is recommended that you read the entire series starting from Book 1 to get the full, rich, background story to this spanking romance shared by Sam and Charlie. In this chapter Sam is still recovering from a devastating illness and Charlie it trying so hard to be good and make his life easier. Problem is, Sam doesn’t necessarily want Charlie to be too good as it is subtly changing their relationship. There are so many “Daddy” stories in the marketplace but the majority deal only with the initial excitement of the discovery and the blossoming of the D/s relationship. In real life things don’t always stay hot and heavy. This author really presents her stories in what I would call real time, things change and things get challenging as the trials and tribulations of daily life gets in the way of the Daddy dynamic. How Sam and Charlie deal with it feels real, feels right, and manages to keep the fires burning. Sam does need more rest, or less work, and the arrival of his old rodeo circuit buddy Nick, and his wife Katie, may be the answer. Their arrival may also be cause for a new set of worries, concerns, and adventures. So much in this story, so much in their lives, and so much enjoyment for the reader. The story contains spankings (good and bad), scintillating sex, and perhaps a final HEA for Charlie and Sam. Even better, there is the promise of a Book 5 flushing out the relationship of Nick and Katie. Should be another great read! 5 Stars I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A riveting, entertaining D/s read that you will enjoy thoroughly A simply wonderful read that I enjoyed from start to finish and I am sure that like me you will enjoy the interactions between Charlie who is just longing for someone who wants to care for her, someone she can trust enough to talk to discuss her worries with. Sam has been so up to his eyeballs with his job and the amount of work that has been coming his way that he just has had not the time or the energy to keep her in line and it is making her feel worried and anxious about their relationship. Looking for a solution to help him get his girl back on the straight and narrow and also to allow him time to breath he decides that his friend Nick would be an ideal choice as his foreman and even better both he and his wife Katie have the same Dynamic in their private life. Charlie hopes that the two couples as well as solving the problem with too much work for him to handle will also form a firm friendship as their private lives are so similar which should also allow Charlie to be good friends. Read this entertaining book that is full of mischief and surprises. I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing. Regards,
Following Sam's illness in the previous book in the series, Charlie and Sam haven't connected as Dom Sub for quite sometime and both of them miss that part of their life. To help Sam manage the load, his old friend Nick is coming to take over as foreman. Nick is married to Katie, and they are also living in a D/s dynamic. In spite of Charlie's worries that she and Katie won't get along, they hit it off from the start. Katie, being a brat of the first degree very quickly manages to drag Charlie into trouble. But shenanigans aside, Charlie and Sam'm story is coming to its happy ending before the next book that will focus on Nick and Katie. The ending is very emotional and I shed some tears while reading it, but I absolutely loved it. I don't think I had ever read an author that is so skilled of telling the story of both the H and h point of view. I had read plenty of books that also tell the story from the guy's POV, but none of them are as good of showing how the H thinks and operates. That is one of the things I love most about Kessily Lewel's writing. The story is interesting, fun and has a very good rhythm. Charlie and Sam are both lovable and believable characters and even though Nick and Katie are new to the series they make me want to read more about them. An Excellent read.
This is the latest wonderful story by Kessily Lewell. This is book 4 of the Daddy Takes the Reins series. You need to read books 1-3 to get the full relationship experience between Sam and Charlie. I have loved every second of this series.
Sam and Charlie are making some changes at the ranch. They are going to try new things there. The biggest change is the new foreman, Nick. Sam needs to cut back on work and balance his life more. Charlie is nervous about having people on the ranch but then she meets Nick and his wife, Katie. Kaite and Charlie hit it off and soon are causing trouble together. They keep Sam and Nick on their toes. Sam also knows that Charlie needs a little more attention but hasn't been able to do it lately. Will they be able to get back on track?

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were intriguing. Charlie and Sam grew up together on the ranch they both own now. When Charlie's father died he left the ranch to the both of them wanting them to get back together. As time went by they got back together and running the farm together. The chemistry between these two a Little with her Dom was sweet, steamy, spicy, passion and love for a happy ever after.. I loved the conclusion to Sam and Charlie's HEA. The author did a great job of tackling issues everyone goes through when they get busy and time takes some focus off the relationship. Sam and Charlie need to work through putting each other first. It was also nice to be introduced to Nick and Katie in this book. The two couples are finding out what they do and don't have in common. Katie seems to be a bit more bratty than Charlie and I think Nick likes it that way. I'm looking forward to reading more of their story.
Spicy BDSM between a rancher and his submissive fiancee and partner in the ranch goes astray after he was hospitalized and her needs were going unmet. When he hires his friend to take over some of the responsibility at the ranch and give him time to dedicate to strengthening the relationship, he doesn't realize that his friend's wife would lead his sweet girl into trouble. Happy ending. Good story if a little wordy.
I enjoyed this series of books and am looking forward to the next group which will follow Nick and his bratty wife Katie. I think this author gives a better representation of a Dom/Submissive lifestyle but imagine even it may be idealized. These are basically a HEA series or at least HFN. They are an easy entertaining read.
So this book is a series so I will go back and read the first one, however, reading it as a stand a long, it was easy to figure out what previously happened because the book is well written with wonderful characters and intense dynamics.. This is a very exciting and emotional look into what could easily be a real-life story. It takes a look into the softer side of BDSM and how one couple depends on the intricacies to cope with life on life's terms. I enjoyed reading all of the series and look forward to reading more.
I enjoyed the story but found the author could be a little long winded. He is her daddy, dom, fiancée and partner. She needs his guidance and punishment to thrive.. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love this series and book four was perfect. Sam and Charlie are such lovely people and with Nicky and Katie in their lives now, it makes for a fun read. I look forward to the next books xx
Charlie and Sam continue working and living together at the ranch. Now with Nick and Katie joining them, life can only get better as their circle expands. Sweet, funny and entertaining. . I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Too much rehashing what occurred in the first 3 books. This series would have been better if combined into 2 books without all the recapping. If there is a book 5, not sure I would read it.
I read each book one after the other. Their story pulled me in and never let go. I couldn’t wait to see what happened next. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good story.
This book, is entertaining, action packed, and thoroughly enjoyable. The chemistry between the characters is wonderful. I can't wait for more from this author.
I feel like I have been waiting forever for this book to show up in the light of day. It was worth it though. I'm excited to get to know Nick and Katie more with, hopefully, more Sam and Chatlie along the way. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
After the last book with this couple (Charlie and Sam), I figured the trilogy was complete. But wait, there's more. This last story is a transition story to introduce a new couple (Nick and Kate). So we get twice as much Daddy fun. Kate is much more of a brat that Charlie and these two little girls get into all kinds of trouble. This was a great story and I'm looking forward to seeing more Nick and Kate stories.
