Gus and Tom were best friends since college. They were part of 4 gay jocks, the other two being Allen and Toby, who went to the same college. Tom had had feelings toward Gus for long, since he worked during college in Gus' family Greek restaurant but he never told anyone. Mostly because most time one of them was involved with some one else.

Gus' latest boyfriend was Allen, their friend. It's been two months and Allen had already gotten a new boyfriend, but Gus was still avoiding his friends. Not because he was hung up with Allen, but he felt weird hanging out with an ex. With this situation, it's not easy for Tom to reveal his feeling. But he challenged Gus to give him one weekend to prove that it's possible to sleep with friends and don't fell weird. Would the weekend turn to something else?

I enjoyed reading this best friends turn lovers. The transition is quite fast, but because they both are gays and best friends it's believable. Gus family had known Tom and he felt at home with them. The reason for Gus and Allen's breakup is interesting, as is interaction between the group with Allen's new bf.

You can’t have sex and stay friends. At least, that’s what experience leads Gus to believe. Tom’s determined to prove him wrong, however. Tom’s been in love with his best friend since college, but he’s held back from telling Gus for years. That’s all over now. Under the pretense of showing that you can stay friends with someone after having sex with them, Tom challenges Gus to give him one weekend to prove his point. But lust doesn’t always mean love, so what will happen if Tom reveals his true feelings to Gus?

There’s something particularly sweet about falling in love with your best friend. Cheryl Dragon plays up both the sweetness and the spice in the delicious One Weekend. Both Tom and Gus are incredibly likeable guys, so it’s easy to root for their finding happiness with one another. It’s all a matter of them stepping outside the comfort zone of friendship and taking a chance on what could be a whole lot more.

I adored One Weekend. As with all of Ms. Dragon’s stories, One Weekend is red-hot. But it’s the endearing nature of the heroes and their love story which makes this delightful tale a memorable one.

The transition from friends to lover between Gus and Tom is really quick. One minute they're talking the next they're making out and getting in bed together. Such things can occur in life I suppose what with blind passion and whatnot happening but it just didn't seem believable. Gus and Tom have been friends for years so when Gus just goes with the flow and climbs in bed with Tom without really thinking about it, it just doesn't feel right to me. I think the story could have benefited a few more pages from Gus's POV.

I thought Tom was an awesome guy for standing up for Gus when he was being confronted by Chuck. I also loved the fact that readers could feel/see how in love Tom was with Gus.
