Dr. Spencer Abbot has been searching for the ideal gift for his anniversary to his wife. When he and his friend Travis meet a woman that claims she can help, they accept. The pair are led to Visions Studios. But instead of the boudoirs photos they'd intended to get, they stumble upon something far more snuff films. Before long, it's up to Travis to resolve their situation, no matter what tries to get in his way. This first installment of the Hell Bent series blends urban fantasy, sci-fi horror, a bit of humor, and plenty of action.* Some of the contents of this book may be disturbing to some readers, as the main antagonist has very few limits on who she kills and how. There is an acid attack at one point, and a few other gruesome deaths.

This was a thrilling book and I loved the illustrations as well. Kayla Matt is definitely a most talented artist as well as writer. I loved Travis' hair particularly in the drawings. The characters of Travis and Spencer are both likeable and relatable. They are both so real. The fictional world they live in is so different and also similar in some respects to ours. The plot is so thrilling that at times I just wanted to turn the page to know what happens next. The narration is full of humour and is compelling. Definitely recommended.
