January 24, 2022There is a lot to like in this story. However I feel it veers in to, pardon the pun, overkill. There is needless body count. Two in particular at the end which was unnecessary and for me ruined the story. I am not rating because this seems to be a new author and I think this just needs an experienced editor to help with the rough edges in the plot.

This was an interesting read. Lots of supernatural for fans of that. Snappy dialogue and vivid scenes. A good start to a new series.

better than I thought
This was surprisingly good. Not much spice, and for the love of god can Rose stop getting kidnapped. A little overkill. Excited to see where this goes.

I picked it up as the library said it was a top pick. It's one of those badass woman = bitch books, and for a supposed badass the entire book is just her getting saved over and over by her man. Ugh.
