Do you want a book that glues you to your seat? Yes? Then this is the book for you. I started reading this and literally didn't want to put it down until I was done.
The main characters in this book are Kane Clarke and Kendall Daley. Kane is a Navy SEAL who is taking a leave of absence after a particularly hard assignment. Kendall is a woman who has many facets. She is smart, beautiful and witty. She is also an escort.
This book reads from both characters points of view which I love because we get to see inside of each character intimately. Knowing their thoughts and feelings makes this such a great read. The characters are believable. Their relationship is tense, exciting and ultimately romantically explosive.
Kane and Kendall meet each other in a bar one night, after spending a night together, Kendall believes she will never see him again. However, she sees him at a political function where she goes with a good friend of hers... Kane's brother. The adventures begin there. We have kidnapping, murders, flawed and beautiful characters, sexual tension, intense action and excitement with an awesome ending!
My opinion? This book was great. I think my favorite part was when Kane finds out who Kendall really is. I wouldn't change a thing about this story. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves romance with mystery and intrigue. Happy reading!

Kendall left home when she was eighteen after having enough of her mother's friends coming in her bedroom. She got a good job working at a high-end bar and was happy. Then James came in to her life. He introduced her to Dominique who offered her a job as an escort making really good money. She's now put herself through college and has a master's in business. She has one more night as an escort and she's done, retired.

Kane is a high ranking Navy Seal on leave to visit his brother James, a U.S. Senator, who he hasn't seen in years. He meets Kendall in a bar, they drink too much and go back to her place where he passes out. He wakes up and sneaks out the next morning thinking he'll never see her again. Imagine his surprise when he discovers she's his brother's date that night and that she's being paid to do it. He gets judgmental and says some unkind things. As they're leaving, James is kidnapped and they also try to take Kendall. Kane saves her and vows to find his brother and keep her safe. Women show up dead, secrets are discovered, twists happen and Kane and Kendall grow closer.

This was a pretty good book. Kane is all angry and sulky, but you can't help but like him. He had reason to be mad at James because of what happened in the past. Kendall is a great person. She's made the best of the life she was given and doesn't apologize for it. This book keeps you interested trying to figure out why James was taken and who's involved. There are a number of typos, but nothing terribly bad. The story is told from dual POVs and has a happy ending.

This is the first book I have read by Jessica Page, I really liked it. Although I felt it was a little rushed. We meet Kendall who has had a rough life, growing up in Minnesota with a crappy mother and her ever changing boyfriends. After almost getting attacked, she finally has enough and moved out. After finding work as a waitress and then a high end bar she meets Senator James, who offers a glimpse into the world she could have, if she will only accept.
Starting over in Washington D.C. as an escort name “Raina” she makes her way, and is looking forward to retiring, but during her very last night, something horrible happens and she find herself in a nightmare. She meets Kane, who is a guarded Navy Seal home on leave trying to visit his brother. They both find themselves in life and death situations and have no idea why. Hoping to find clues, and love??
I really like Kendall, she knows what she wants and she goes after it, with her years of being an escort, and under the eye of James she definitely knows how to read people and have insight into their life. Kane, of course is a hot military man, but there is more to him that just training, and protecting, he has seen and done things that no human should have to. James is also another one of my favorite characters, although we don’t see too much of him. I really liked how she had twists, and for a minute I thought I was going to be really mad at the end of this book. I do wonder if there will be more to Kendall and Kane’s story, and also if James will have his own book as well. That would be a good read.

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Kane is currently on leave from being a Navy SEAL and Kendall is currently retiring from her current job. But these two unlikely souls meet in a bar one night. Kendall wasn’t the type of woman who took B.S. from men. She knew what she wanted and was good at getting things done. Little did she know that she was going to meet her match, who would give her a run that she would never forget.

I love how Kane was on a mission to confront his past and get answers. He was determined to get to the bottom of what had happened in his past without letting anyone get in his way. Kendall is a strong woman, who is smart and driven. She could read people like a book and take care of those around her. While Kane didn’t think he needed anyone in his life and was dead set on being alone with his career. That all changed. This book was kept me in suspense. I kept trying to figure it out. Who was behind it all and why! Even in the final few pages I was on the edge of my seat. This is an A+ read that will pull you in until the end. Lindsey, Reviewer for MNP.

Be prepared to be thrown into the world of political deceit and non stop adventure.

Kendall and Kane meet in a bar one night. The next day Kane finds out who and what Kendall does (you will have to read the book to find out). As James, Kendall and Kane leave a party James is kidnapped and Kane and Kendall are running for their life.

The characters are well developed because we learn about Kendall and Kane's past as the story progresses. Kendall is a smart sexy women who is determined. Kane is trying to get over tragedy in his past. Can Kendall help him? As they try to find out what James was involved in and who is after them their relationship progresses from friends to lovers.

There is plenty of sexual tension, family ties, action, adventure, mystery and suspense in this book. There was not one page that did not have some sort of action on it. It keeps you reading.

This is the first book I have read by Jessica Page and will be looking into other books by her.

I don’t normally like alternating first person POV’s. Mainly, because it’s confusing to the reader to know which person is now the POV. Even when the author heads the scene with the name of the characters, it’s still confusing. The problem is, most writers just aren’t skilled enough to pull if off. If each character doesn’t have it’s own quirks and habits, they blend together. But Jessica Page was able to pull this one off. I still don’t like that type of POV, but I had no problem following the characters.

For me, I thought this was a fast-paced story. It’s not that long, and I read the book in 1 1/2 days. I loved Kendall and Kane and the chemistry between them. They played off each other very well.

As for the storyline, it was pretty standard. Boy meets girl, girl’s in trouble, boy helps girl, they have HEA. There were no plot twists. Nothing unexpected. I felt this was an average read, and I did enjoy it.

BUT!!! Anymore, I try to give some leniency for proofreading errors, but this book was so chock-full of them, I have to take away one star.

If you like HEA, hunky SEALS, and a fast story, you’ll probably enjoy

MISGUIDED TARGET is a military-type suspense thriller that goes deep into the lives of its characters.

A U.S. Senator is kidnapped and his brother, Navy Seal Kane Clarke, becomes embroiled in his recovery. Kendall Daley, a high-society escort girl who at first was unknowingly involved with both brothers, joins Kane in a wild ride to unravel the political jigsaw-puzzle that engulfs them. Pursued by hired killers, haunted by the sexual tensions of the one-woman two-brothers dilemma, together they bring the reader swiftly to a cliff-hanger of an ending.

Uniquely original was the author's choice to switch back and forth first person narrative between Kendall's voice and Kane's. This provides the reader an intimate look into the thoughts and feeling of each. Also, I liked the high level of political suspense. It reminded me a bit of the Kevin Costner movie ‘No Way Out.’

Political intrigue, Murder, Kidnapping, Romance, Sexual Tensions, and Power Struggles—everything one would expect within the inner-workings of Washington D.C.—makes MISGUIDED TARGET a compelling read.

Jessica Page has done it again! If you like a fun, adventure filled romance than Misguided Target is the book for you. Ms. Page skillfully maneuvers between the two main character’s voice to take the reader into the world of D.C. politics and the escorts that make them look good. Kendall Daley is a character you start rooting for right away even though her occupation leaves one wondering how you could like such a person, but her strong tenacity is infection. It isn’t surprising that she catches the eye of a handsome, troubled hero named Kane Clarke who has no desire to invite anyone into his life, but can’t help being attracted to this smart, steadfast women. The dynamic plot unfolds to find them in a deadly situation where they must learn to trust each other in order to survive.
The story is well written and enjoyable. I will keep this author on my radar and so should you.

Story of Kendall, who is attempting to get out of the DC escort service, Kane a guy she meets in a bar and James, a US Senator.

If I say much more it spoils the story. However, the author did a pretty good job of all of that already. First of all, the cover has nothing to do with the story.... no jewels or super fancy events. The story is so choppy that it's hard to follow. It took me 5 minute to figure out who "Tyler" was. There are so many typos and missing words, that it was hard to figure out what was being said, who was saying it, and why. These kinds of things show a lack of respect for the reader.

This story needed to be significantly more fleshed out to enhance the characters and the plot.

Despite the fact that she's an escort, there's like next to no sex in this book. Which was kind of disappointing.

On the bright side there's a super cheesy HEA for Kendall.

Interesting fast moving book with a good story line. I always enjoy a book with a strong heroine and this one definitely fit the standard. Interesting concept in that Kendall, the heroine, used a very successful job as an escort to meet educational and life goals. Kane was a tough interesting hero with some issues of his own to overcome. Throw in some subterfuge and suspense and you have the makings of a page turner. I found the writing style of both hero and heroine being written in the first person in alternating chapters somewhat difficult to follow at times but overall the book was well done and I enjoyed it. Good choice to curl up with on a snowy afternoon!

This was a fast easy read that I think a lot of people will enjoy reading. It was just not my cup of tea.

It was a great story line and Jessica Page is a good writer where everything flowed. The thing that turned me off was all the narration. I felt like we were sitting in the bar drinking wine and then all the sudden we would get a whole lot of back story.

Will definitely be open to reading any more books by this author in the future.

I am a new reader to this author but instantly became a fan! This book had everything in it! It had romance, action, deceit, and morals! I loved the story behind each characters lives. I was shocked at the turn of events and couldn't wait to keep reading to see what happened! I loved the tension between Kane & Kendall that grew into a whirlwind romance! I loved the strength they pulled from another. This book proves you will do anything to protect the ones you love!

The author did a great job with the dual POV. The was some suspense throughout the book. I did have a difficult time with this book and found myself getting bored throughout.
