Bodi and Kayla’s story was what you’d expect from a forbidden, age gap, office romance story while also throwing in some major swoon worthy moments.
When Bodi and Kayla first met in 9 (Jensen and Rae’s story), you already could feel the chemistry between them. Fast forward to this gem and you see Bodi relent to Rae’s pleading and give Kayla a job as his PA at his publishing agency, against his better judgment. Little did he know, she’d rock up the next day, homeless, but ready to prove herself.
Of course, Bodi being the Australian gentleman that he is, offers for Kayla to stay in his guest room. Hello sexual tension! 👋🏻
I adore Bodi. The way he treats Kayla and shows her that she’s important and worth it was everything. There were so many adorable moments hidden in these pages amongst some seriously fire spicy scenes.

The interconnection of characters from the first 2 books was amazing! Seeing where Hunter & Charlotte and Jensen and Rae are currently at in their lives is what I live for in interconnected series.

Slow slow slow.
This book was so hard to get into and DNF at chapter 12.
Main issue with this book is that they had a tryst when she just graduated high school, so 18, and he was 28-9 ish. What reason does a man close to thirty, be looking at or hooking up with a 19 year old. I'm a fan of age gap tropes but, this made me feel weird. Even weirder when he suddenly decides being 19 ( when they meet again) is too young for him. Honestly, I think 19 was too old for him, he probably prefers his teenagers barely legal. Sorry, that was slightly uncalled for, but it was icky.
Further more they meet again when he is her boss, and she's his PA. Why her cousin thought, yes, why don't I encourage the relationship between my teenage cousin and my bordering 30 year old friend. It was just weird. And felt wrong. And her age shows, no matter how much he tried to convince himself that she was "mature" for her age. Also, girlie tried saying I know what I want in men, girl you're barely a woman. And you've only been in two(?) relationships and somehow in all of your 3(?) years of dating experience with BOYS, you know what you want. No, no you don't.
The 12 chapters I read, just grossed me out and made me uncomfortable. Her cousin Rae especially, since she was encouraging the whole thing from the get go.
Ohhhh let's not forget him giving her wine, like the first night of her working for him, and she says she's not legal. His reply, I won't tell if you don't. Said every perv ever. She's not old enough to drink (USA), and Bodi was like I've already slept with her she's legal enough for me.
This book would have been so much more likeable if Kayla was at least of drinking age, and not still in her teens. And if it wasn't for the creepy undertones Bodi gave off. Because I was not ready to read a dark psychological thriller.
The book is quite obviously an interconnected stand alone, the mention the other characters from the other books in a few places. But this book can be read on it's own.

Whenever Billie puts out a new book, it quickly becomes a favourite of mine. The Number series is brilliant and 5 took the crown. Bodi and Kayla are so much fun to read and they are addictive. I just couldn’t get enough of them. They took the number spot as my favourite Billie couple. If you are a sucker for forbidden, age gap, office romance like me, this one's for you!
Bodi and Kayla were attracted to one another when they first met in 9. They slept together one summer weekend at Rae’s. They had fun and never thought they’d see each other again. When Kayla got kicked out of Stanford, Rae pleaded with Bodi to offer Kayla a job at his publishing company. Despite knowing it was a bad decision, he agreed to help but drew the line from the very start to keep things professional between them. However this fiery and sassy nineteen-year-old was having none of it. She made it her mission to tease him, torment him and seduce him just to show him why they should be together.
“He’s the full package.” Bodi is handsome, successful and has his life sorted (pretty much). Except for his dad. His dad’s deteriorating health took a toll on him, yet he stayed positive and did everything he could for his dad. The father-son moments are some of my favourites, they gave me sad tears and also happy tears.
“Girls like her are rare”. Kayla Lockheart is an absolute gem. Intelligent, caring and wise beyond her age. I can’t tell you how much I adore her, the things she’d do for people she cares about. Honestly, this girl deserves the world.
I loved the banter, text messages and routine they shared. The delicious forbiddenness, torturous slow burn and simmering tension was built up so perfectly. When they finally gave in, their chemistry was explosive. The highlight for me was seeing them learn from each other and grow to be the better version of themselves. The spicy scenes are on point as always, I mean it’s Billie come on.
I enjoyed every single second of reading Bodi and Kayla’s story. The fact that couples from previous books played a part in their relationship made it even better. That ending… onto the next couple!

5 is an age gap romance starring Bodi and Kayla who have had a one-night stand earlier. Kayla is nineteen and just dropped out of Stanford because of a scary ex. Bodi is about to turn thirty and owns a publishing company. He gives her a job and a place to stay at their friends' request. They are sexually compatible but Bodi resists the attraction and insists they shouldn't be having sex because he's her boss and because they're in different stages of life because of their ages. The chaste phase doesn't last very long but he continues to resist the idea of being more than friends with benefits. He has decided dating and love are not worth it because his parents' marriage ended tragically and his father didn't cope well with the loss. Nowadays his father is ailing in a nursing home and Bodi is facing the inevitability of loss and grief again, leading to an emotional implosion. Even though he's been saying she's too young it ends up being Bodi who threatens to ruin it with tantrums.
I am not generally much into age gap romances but this was quite readable.
Steam level: So many sex scenes that I found myself skimming some of them.
Pet peeve: the number of times dialogue got screeched in situations that in my opinion didn't require screeching.
Series status: This book stands alone but events from previous books get referenced and the characters make appearances.

Bodi and Kayla >> These two and their beautiful story has completely consumed my life. I absolutely LIVED for the flirting, banter, burning chemistry and the epic slow burn between them 😩👏🏼💚 And I honestly can't stop thinking about them, I think it's safe to say they became one of my all time favorite couples and definitely at the top from Billie's other couples too!
Kayla, this girl had my heart immediately. She's so sweet, cute and just the best ever, she's definitely special and I adored her 😍 Bodi had me completely in love as well, I mean hello he is loving, protective AND knows how to keep my girl happy! 😉🤍😌
Bodi and Kayla's story is so fun, sweet and hot as heck while also gives you the biggest feels (gosh did I cry!) and the balance of all of that combined is absolutely perfect, pretty much everything about 5 is ah *chef's kiss* 🤌🏼💋 Hehe I loooved how tempted he was by her from the start and how she just kept trying to get him to lose control with her! I'm obsessed with the forbidden trope and it's brilliant in this 🤭💕
Billie has definitely hit again with 5, it's no surprise at this point that I'll freaking adore everything she writes to the moon and beyond!

This is book three in The Numbers Series and it is Kayla and Bodi's story and omg it is definitely a must read. Kayla has decided to leave college telling people that she failed all her subjects and didn't get the grades that she needed and decided to return home to decide what to do next in her life. Bodi has had a great career in L.A. and has his own publishing company but when his dad's health deteriorates he ended up moving to Atlanta as they had the best facility in the country and he would do anything for his dad. Kayla and Bodi have history as they slept together but now that she is working at his company and he is her boss and a lot older than her so Bodi puts down some ground rules but Kayla tries his patients at every turn. Kayla and Bodi are the total opposite of each other in every single way but the connection and chemistry between them is off the charts hot and you can feel it sizzling of the pages and this story has so many emotional situations that had you crying but also there back and forward banter had you laughing and I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner and so addictive. Billie Lustig is an amazing author and writer and the depth of her story's are what makes you go back time and time again to read her book's. This book has some very difficult subjects and situations that are written with so much care and compassion and I definitely recommend you read this book and other's by Billie Lustig and you will not be disappointed.

Kayla Lockheart needs a job and Bodi McKay agreed to help her out. The difficulty is that they had a weekend together that both need to try to forget when facing their employee/boss situation. Kayla would very much like to renew that weekend, but Bodi wants to keep it professional.
For now, Kayla has appropriated Bodi’s guest room and makes her presence well known to him. He’s currently struggling to keep his hands off of her. But she is just as determined that he give in and surrender to his fate and hers. Will he hold off from making her his? Or should he just wave the white flag now and enjoy his rosy future?
These two make a very good couple. Grab your copy and see what you think about whether they should get together. It’s a fun journey getting to that decision.

May 30, 2022Kayla and Bodi meet in a previous storyline with her cousin Rae, and this story starts a year later when Kayla drops out of Stanford and needs a job as well as a place to stay. These two have awesome chemistry and even though he doesn't want to do so, he hires her as his PA at the request of her cousin Rae's request. Bodi is a sexy, 29 yr old, sneaker loving gentleman who is kind, loving and loves his father who has dementia. These two made me laugh with the going back and forth about being in a relationship as well as all the reasons they are not having sex tis time around. He treats Kayla as the smart young lady that she is even though she is only 19, but she is a sassy one and they are perfect together even if Bodi won't admit it. Great romance, definitely worth purchasing!.

This is my favorite Billie book. There. I said it. Bodi and Kayla were so funny. Like I was seriously laughing out loud at home and that rarely happens to me. I loved sassy Kayla and all her comebacks at whatever he says, but when Bodi decided to retaliate it was the absolute best. All their sexual chemistry was intense and hot and the tension and anticipation was so enjoyable. I also liked that the previous couples were really present during the story and the glimpse we had about a future couple. The only thing I need? Their first weekend together during Rae’s birthday! I really want to know how that happened. But seriously, if you like fun contemporary romance this is just the book for you.

In true Billie form, she wrote a phenomenal book. This is book 3 of the numbers series and I can't wait for more to come. Just know the numbers are not in order and that my dear is just how Billie works.
Bodi and Kayla were explosive together and even apart. Kayla the dirty pervert gave hints while Bodi tried to be strong towards her advances. Just know that he was not strong enough.
Was their relationship a day in the park? Of course not because Billie likes writing books with angst. This girl put us through the wringer but seriously this book was great. Another part I enjoyed was the characters showing up from the previous books of this series. I look forward to the next one.

Out of this numbers series by B Lustig, Bodi and Kayla’s story is by far my favorite! I was hooked and fell in love with this book on page one. It was everything I needed right when I needed it. Kayla is strong and fierce and wise beyond her years. Bodi is kind and loving and protective. The banter between them is amazing and their love is so pure and good, until it isn’t, because of course there’s this one moment that just killed my heart. This book is everything I love about romance novels. When I’m needing something that isn’t dark, this is exactly what I look for and this book owned me in the best possible way. It is a must read!

Kayla and Bodi= literally the cutest ever.
This book was great! It had all the topes we love, age gape, office romance with some history;) Kayla is in the stage of life were her plans didn't work out they way they should and with a great support system and amazing friends and family, she gets herself back up on her feet with the help of Bodi.
Bodi is on the book boyfriend list for sure. A CEO who is protective, loving and so charming. He is irresistible. Seeing him help Kayla, cheer her on and defend her kept me so entertained throughout the whole book. An all around great book, mixes so well with the rest of the series. A must read!!!

I love all of Billie's darker/mafia writing so I wanted to give some of her brighter work a try and gosh am I glad I did. This book was packed with all the feels!
Kayla is an absolute blast! She was just so goddamn loveable, how could anyone not fall in love with her?! She was just such a unique and confident girl.
Bodi, well, he was much more intense. I loved seeing his conflict from his side but he was still amazing.
There was some times where I got a little frustrated with the backwards and forwards of the book but honestly it was a brilliant story. I can't wait to read the other books by B Lustig now 💚

There was some times where I got a little frustrated with the backwards and forwards of the book but honestly it was a brilliant story. I can't wait to read the other books by B Lustig now 💚

I really loved Bodi & Kayla’s story. Much more than I thought I would. Kayla was a very bubbly fun character and Bodi was just the whole package. Handsome, smart but very kind and nice while still strong and protective. They really fit together so well. The book was so fun and I loved their lighthearted teasing and banter. They really did brighten each others days. I was sad for Bodi having lost so much so young but he still was happy in life. And Kayla was everything he didn’t know he needed. Although he tried to push her away to protect himself and caused them both heartbreak he more than made up for it in his sweet gestures. Very enjoyable easy read.

I flew through this book in a matter of hours and that was after I struggled to pick up a book for weeks. So that should definitely give you a hint of how good the writing style and the story draw you in. I especially loved the banter and the chemistry between the two main characters and how Kayla was never afraid to voice her opinion. It is great to see the couples from 9 and 8 again and I cannot wait for more books from this series.

Every new book you write I always say "my new favourite couple" of yours. And then you go and write a better new couple. I couldn't possibly choose a favourite now.
Kayla and Bodi had my heart from the beginning. They made me laugh out loud. Several times. I'm obsessed with your girls that are loud, outspoken and don't give a shit.
I loved this book so bloody much, I did cry at your words just like normal. You amaze me with your words. I love this series and I love how all the previous books are woven in to the characters lives.

There is steam is literally coming off my kindle right now!
This was an age gap romance. The characters were 19 and 29, so if that isn’t your thing you might want to move along!
The chemistry from Bodi and Kayla was piping! The tension between them before Bodi finally gave in was leaving me very frustrated but oh so worth it when he got his head out of his behind!
This definitely gets a five star review from me and I will be going back to read the previous two standalones in this series!.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. I really enjoyed this book in the Numbers series. Bodi and Kayla end up working together with tension swirling between them. They have a history together, although short it was unforgettable. Now one half of the equation wants to see where it can go and the other wants to stay in denial. There is a lot of humor and chemistry along with some struggles. The characters and storyline are well written.

Will be reading this one again and again
I cannot enough of this author and how well she writes. I don't do synopsis, as there are others who can do that better, and have. I have loved all the numbers books as well as all the other books Billie has written. I'm looking forward to Jason and Julie's book next. The writing is so amazing, you don't want to skim, you want to savour, but it's so good you devour every word instead. If you have never read any of her books, you're missing out. You will never be disappointed reading one of Billie's books.

Kayla and Bodie are officially one of my favorite couples. The tension and build up to their relationship are written so beautifully and amazingly and it leaves you wanting more. You do not want to avoid this book.
This is book 3 in the number series and is just as good as the first too.
This book shows a side to both Kayla and Bodie, that I did not think I needed. It was so sweet to see all the parts of them and what they hide to keep themselves safe. I also LOVED the visits from others … no spoilers… but seriously I loved this book and everything it was.
These two have a love like no other and are so beautiful in their relationship and knowing what they want. Is there some miscommunication? Yes, but the result makes it all better.
PLEASE READ THIS BOOK YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

If you like age-gap, office romances..this is the book for you!
As always Billie exceeds my expectations with her writing and plot building. I felt so many different emotions while reading this book and I could not put it down!
Kayla and Bodi's story was witty, emotional, funny, steamy and unpredictable! I loved their back and forth banter and their chemistry was seriously undeniable.
The steamy scenes were something out of this world and i was here for it!!!!
I love this book, I love this series of stand-alones and you can not go wrong with any of Billie's books...they are all gold!!!!

I liked that the chemistry noted in 9 was evident throughout the book. The previous hookup certainly added to the tension of the many tropes featured here. Kayla came over as strong in the face of challenges but very caring with Terry. Bodi frustrated me with his 'I don't date' mantra and it was his biggest fault.

5 like the five stars I've given at this amazing book!!! Billie's transport you in her sweet and lovely World. You'll meet again the characters of the previous books of the series and will know better Kayla and Body, making you fall in love with their story. Absolutely your next book to read.

Great romance
I liked Bodi a lot in the previous Numbers book and was so excited for his story. Kayla is absolutely perfect with him. She is so much fun and their chemistry was off the charts. Great romance read

This is the story about Kayla and Bodi, written in the dual, first person point of view which is always a deal breaker for me. These two were wonderful together and I truly enjoyed their story.
