What a ride book 2, Her Heartless King, of the Sold to the Mafia Boss series has taken me on!
Luciana’s betrayal has come to Romeros attention. He is hurt beyond measure because he had let her in and was falling for her despite how they had come to be together. She loves him and wants to prove to him she is sorry. He sets a plan in motion using her to get back at her family.
This book was full of drama, danger, lies and secrets. So many twists that kept me turning the page!
I devoured this book within a few short hours! It left me wanting so much more!
I need the next book now!

I have been waiting for book two since I finished the first book. I am LOVING this series. I devoured this book in one sitting.

Book two picks up right where book one left off, and you have Romero steaming over his wife's betrayal. Lu is stuck between loving her husband and wanting his forgiveness, but she doesn't think he will ever forgive her.
She is put in a dangerous situation when he uses her to get information from her family as punishment.
Her Heartless King had so many twists and turns, and the SPICE was perfection!!
Ella, please hurry and write the third book because I can't wait to read His Broken Queen!!

This is book 2 in the Sold to the Mafia Boss series. Make sure you have read Ruthless Saints (Book 1) before you read this one.
It's an engaging story told from multiple POV. I got really hooked on this story and found it to be well written and an easy read. I think I enjoyed this one even better than Book 1. If your on the fence about continuing go ahead and do it.
This story picks up after Book 1, when Romero find out about Lu's betrayal, he becomes a distant alpha-hole who is confused by his feelings for her. Loved the dynamic between the two as well as Gio and to a lesser extent Jag.
The ups and downs of this book lead to some suspense filled reading. I thought I could see what was coming but was surprised by the twists at the end.
I am eagerly anticipating the third instalment in this series.

This middle book in the trilogy is awesome. The relationship between Romero and Lucianna evolves in the midst of dark, erotic moments combined with lies, betrayals, and an unwillingness to forgive. Then, just as things are beginning to look up – WHAM – the twists and turns shift everything. The cliffhanger the book ends on was totally unexpected and I eager await the final book.

Second book in series, wonderful series with great characters and plot

I made a grave mistake when I agreed to spy on my new husband for my family, this had formed the coming together of two families they were supposed to be the working together as two families helping each other strengthen themselves in the mafia world which was highly competitive and charged to kill anyone and anything as soon as possible if they stood in the way or threatened family.
When Romero realised that her family had been using Lu he had felt betrayed and could easily have killed her and her uncle and aunt and two of her three cousins would have seen this as no real loss, she had simply been a nuisance.
Romero and Gio had taken her into their home and he had fallen in love with his wife and when she betrayed him, she knew that he had to turn her family hold to their advantage and even though she agreed to feed lies to her family, she begged for his forgiveness and love but knew that she may never again be trusted she simply had to wait and hope.
This was a wonderful second book in the series and now that the two brothers have discovered who else was the mole in their organisation and also about a few other bits of dirty laundry that were in Lu’s family and Romero believed were relative to the years of isolation and poor treatment she suffered whilst living in her uncle’s home.
As the story unfolds and the attacks on the two brothers and Lu become more focused on her feelings regarding her husband, she had obviously fallen in love with him and she would do anything to help him.
This is a riveting read and I guarantee that the opening to the next book is simply amazing and I am sure you will not be able to put down this book until you reach the end of the book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Yep. Another read that did not disappoint! I finished the first book so fast that I couldn't wait to get into this one!
Her Heartless King is a great followup in Luciana and Romero's story! This book took the story from an enemies to lovers to more of a second chance as now Luciana has to deal with the repercussions of her betrayal. Can Romero ever forgive her? Or will Luciana be doomed to not only lose her marriage to the man she is realizing she is in love with, but to die by his hand as well?
Or....is it not Romero who Lu needs to worry about, but her own blood?
I loved reading the struggles that these characters have in responses to being in each other's world and space. Luciana is growing from that naïve, helpless girl into a woman who is learning more about herself, the world around her and who she wants to become. Whether that is a Bilotti or a Torrio, Lu is now realizing she doesn't have to take sh*t and can stand up for herself.
Once again, fantastic. I wish these books were a little longer but at the same time the length is perfect for the story Ella is telling.

Be warned! It’s unwise to cross Romero Bilotti.
Her Heartless King starts where Ruthless Saints left us, hearing Luciana admit the depths of her betrayal to her husband, Romero, and him refusing to forgive her. Romero calls Luciana his ‘little butterfly’ and at the beginning of this second book, she’s sure had her wings clipped! Romero doesn’t believe Luciana’s repeated professions of love, nor does he accept that she’d had a change of heart about her and her family’s treachery. When an old school friend, who’s now an FBI Agent turns up and keeps pestering Luciana, Romero struggles to trust her motives. Poor girl, can’t seem to catch a break! 😩
One thing neither Luciana nor Romero seem to be willing to forego is their attraction to each other, whether they are warring or not, the heat between them is off.the.charts. And fear especially, seems to make Luciana’s arousal burns 10 times hotter.
Her Heartless King really starts to delve deeper into the mafia aspects of the plot, and being a #mafiaromance fan, I wholly appreciate this. I like Luciana’s fire, but I empathise with her loneliness too. I also totally understand Romero’s reticence to trust and forgive, especially after learning more about his tragic backstory.
Ella is generous enough not to leave us with a devastating cliffhanger at the end of Her Heartless King, and for that I’m grateful. That said, I’m still on tenterhooks to learn how everything unravels and resolves itself in book 3, but I have ultimate faith that Ella, will take us on a spectacular journey, full of gripping twists and turns, peppered with plenty of delicious spice.

This was part two of three in the Sold to the Mob Boss trilogy that was all over my FB fees for months before I snatched up book 1 when it went on sale a couple months ago. Alas I waited to read it until I had a holiday weekend and time- which I’m glad I did because I consumed both book 1 and 2 in record time! This book picks up right where Ruthless Saints does, with Romero just having learned of Luciana’s betrayal. She’s understandably terrified but instead of killing her he demands she turns the tables on her wretched family and be his spy. Lu’s in a pretty impossible situation and at one point tells him it would be easier if he just kills her. Romero starts to realize that there’s a lot of past hurt and trauma from Lu losing her parents and being raised by people who were at best indifferent and worst cruel to her. The author beautifully writes the winding road of their love story, because they don’t easily find their way back! Romero isn’t as cruel as Lu was told and his softer side for her was my favorite part of the book! And while Lu was fragile, she wasn’t the wilting Violet everyone thought she was- she had a lot of quiet strength only made stronger with her marriage. I should also note that there’s some pretty amazing side characters in this book- namely Gio- and I foresee some spinoff series coming once this wraps up! Can’t wait to read book 3 this fall!.

Ella Jade does it again with Romero and Lu's story continuation. The ultimate betrayal has been committed by the new bride and the wedded bliss they'd begun to bask in is over, for now. The Torrios and The Billotis history seems to run deep and the secrets involving these two families are powerful enough to cause a ripple in time.
I loved the push and pull Romero experienced within himself concerning Lu's betrayal because he had actually fallen for her and she him, but how could he maintain his ruthless persona when his heart said to do something totally different. Now he was a jerk, don't get me wrong, but he had feelings about it.
Lu, our Lu's is growing up and getting stronger, she's discovering her voice and finding who she is. Does Romero make her weak still, yes. However, with Stella's presence, Gio's counsel, and Jag too we get to see a bolder version of her. With what's to come in the next book, I need her to be a Badass Mafia Queen. (Please make her that Ella)😁.
I'm excited about the next book because I need some answers and I am a little obsessed with Lu and Romero.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "HER RUTHLESS KING" This story hooks you from beginning to end full of suspense, intrigue, angst, secrets, lies, betrayal, passion, mistrust, hurt, danger twists that make for a very addicting read.
Luciana & Romero arranged marriage to unite two very ruthless Mafia families but she ends spying on her new husbands family for her family something she didn't know would cause such dire consequences.
Romero finds out about Luciana's betrayal hurt beyond words because he let her in, he was falling for her now he's turned the tables she has to spy on her family for him how long will they deny their feelings to help their families gain.
Luciana decides to stand her ground & take what she wants that's Romero but he's not sure he can trust her after what she did but he rewards her for every bit of info she brings him he awakes desires & Lust the sparks fly between these two.

This is the second book of the Sold to the Mafia Boss and starts right where the first book Ruthless Saints ended. Romero had discovered the betrayal of Luciana and now the consequences of her actions would set their future in jeopardy.
This book describes how Luciana acknowldges that her actions hurt Romero and she tries to prove to him that staying married is what she really wants. The question remains though: Can she tame the beast?
His brother Gio admits to her that she is changing him, she makes him softer. Romero also senses this shift and he finds it really difficult to come with terms with these changes. He cannot be ruthless with Luciana but can he forgive her for what she did?
I loved the secondary characters - I need to know Gio's story - and the plot twist at the end makes the wait for book 3 sooo difficult.
My favourite quote: "We had to happen they way we did, so we could be who we are right now"
I cannot wait to see Luciana take her rightful place next to Romero, a strong queen who will not hesitate to protect everything dear to her.

Now that Romero has found out that Luciana is the mole and is betraying him, he barely restrains himself as he has killed others for less but she is his wife and as much as he tries to deny it, he does feel something for her. Luciana is now stuck, she can’t go back to her family and Romero won’t let her go and to atone for her back stabbing, Romero is now using her to feed her family information. As these two tangle, Lu tries to make her husband see that she still wants only him but with the trust broken….will she be ever be able to make amends and actually try to have a real marriage.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. This book starts up where Book 1 left off. Romero is ready to enact his plans to use Luciana against her family. Can Luciana pull it off? She is constantly being pulled in two different directions. That takes a toll on her. Romero sees it but has to focus on saving his business. For some reason, the Torrios are coming after him hard.
Romero and Luciana’s relationship comes to a head in this book. Will either be able to fight for what they want the most? Can Romero forgive Lu? If he can’t, what is the next move? He knows she can’t go back to her family. What if that decision is taken out of his hands?
A lot of things are revealed in this book. Traders and some of the ultimate plan. This book went a totally different way than I expected it to go. Readers will be shocked.. I can’t imagine what will happen in the third and final book of this series. Of course, I’m going to read it. Ella has me hooked now. Romero and Lu’s story has me in a chokehold and I am here for it.

A lot of things are revealed in this book. Traders and some of the ultimate plan. This book went a totally different way than I expected it to go. Readers will be shocked.. I can’t imagine what will happen in the third and final book of this series. Of course, I’m going to read it. Ella has me hooked now. Romero and Lu’s story has me in a chokehold and I am here for it.

This is book 2 of Romero and Luciana's story. Things are not that easy between Luciana and Romero after he found out that she betrayed him and now he wants her to do the same to her family and feed them bad information about his business, which she agrees to do.
Romero does feel bad that she was put in that situation but he's still mad at her and it's hard to trust her. He does hire a new cook, to help her learn how to cook and befriend her. Meanwhile, Romero finds out the truth about the death of Luciana's parents (that was a plot twist, didn't see that coming!!) and why he was set up to marry Luicana in the first place.
Romero cut ties with the Torrios and since their alliance is over the Torrios demand Luicana back, but he refuses. Pretty much there is going to be a war if he doesn't return her and he says bring it! They end up kidnapping Luciana, but Romero recues her later that night and a whole lot more family drama is hashed out, its so crazy!!! I can't wait to read book 3!.

Book 2 picks up right from book 1…
Romero is devastated & angry by Luciana’s betrayal & his hurt really shows. He’s not exactly very forgiving, which I completely understand, & his actions are cruel, which I completely expected & was glad he didn’t just roll over & forgive her. I thought she deserved his anger.
In book 1, I wasn’t a big fan of hers, but seeing her remorse & how regretful she was, I started to like her. She still irritated me at times when she couldn’t seem to comprehend her actions had consequences, & got upset when Romero didn’t support her wanting to go back to school anymore. And I was annoyed at every time the fed showed up & Romero would ask what he wanted she wasn’t completely honest! After everything she still withheld stuff. But then just when they started to work through their problems, she went & did something against Romero’s orders & got herself kidnapped!
This book was excellent! I loved the suspense of wanting to know her aunts secret, & what happened to Luciana’s parents- & boy was I shocked! The secrets! So good. Onto book 3!

I love mafia romances and this one ticks all the boxes for what makes a great one. Family drama, a steamy enemies to lovers romance and a story full of action. Luciana and Romero had an unconventional beginning to their relationship, but were actually making it work. I loved their growth as characters and seeing just how far they've come from the beginning.
I had a couple problems with the story. It was DRAMATIC. This was one of the more drama filled mafia romances I've read and that did take away from the story. Plus she only gets to touch him in exchange for information on her family? That was unbelievable for me and I felt the author could have set this up to have something better in exchange for info.

I couldn't put this book down. Romero and Luciana have had a whirlwind of a love story. This is part 2 of 3 parts. It doesn't disappoint. I cant wait to read part 3 of their life. He wants to hurt like hes hurting. He let her in. She didnt trust he would protect her. Then a tornado of a relationship breaks loose. Then they find their way back to each other only to find our about murder, affairs, illegitimate siblings, lies, deceit not to mention all the mob dealings. Romero and Luciana are captured and they escape only to be told that this encounter isn't over..........ok on to part 3 h

Her Heartless King continues with Luciana and Romero’s passionate story and the fan has most definitely been hit after Romero reveals he knows Luciana is the traitor leaking info to her Torrio family against him.
What a mess!
Romero can’t bring himself to do what comes natural to him and remove Luciana from existence so decides instead to flip the script on his rivals.
He has been hurt by her betrayal and Luciana just as devastated since she loves her husband and was just about to reveal all to Romero before he got there first.
Forgiveness will be a long time coming as surprising revelations, and plots emerge in this powerhouse of storytelling that takes things to new and dramatic heights with this reader happy to have tagged along for another addictive read. HFN.

This is such a difficult review to write but not for the reason you're probably thinking. I absolutely, unequivocally loved this story. But how to write the review without any spoilers. Because the one thing I wish is for you to read this story not knowing everything that is going to happen.
Romero and Luciana have stolen my heart - even if at times I want to lock them in a room until they resolve their issues. Romero continues to show that he has a softer side to him when it comes to Luciana. And while Luciana feels that she's not very strong, she shows by her actions that in fact she is much stronger than she gives herself credit for. Then we get to the explosive ending of this book. All I can say is it will be a long wait for Book 3 in this series but I will try to be patient.

This is the 2nd book about Luciana and Romero. At the end of the last book Romero found out Luciana betrayed him. This book is a lot about Romero being conflicted in his feelings about Luciana. While he still really loves her, he can't fully forgive Luciana, and therefore ends up punishing her quite a bit. Luciana finally realizes how she feels about Romero and is determined to wait him out. Poor Luciana just gets treated badly by almost everyone. There still is conflict with Luciana's family and the FBI poking around. Let me just say oh the drama revealed at the end of the book was pretty epic. It answers a lot of questions from both books. Very good series. Excited to read the next book.

We're back with Luciana and Romero... Both are struggling with the situation they have found themselves in! Being torn between the family that betrayed her and the man she's fallen in love with is taking a toll on Luciana...especially when Romero starts to be completely heartless towards her and builds his walls back up! Love the dual pov's, you get to see them both grow throughout this book both individually and together.
As with book 1 there's plenty of twists, danger, betrayal, sizzling passion and more throughout.
How will their story conclude?... Will they come out on top and together?... It's time to find out in book 3!!!.

OMG. Romero and Luci are getting heated in their relationship. The drama, mafia families, and action of these chapters are getting heated to the point that I can't stand of reading to the end and realize there is one more book and I do not like that feeling of waiting but more of the suspense and waiting for the better of the enjoyment for me to read the conclusion for this crazy couple that I enjoy so much. Now wondering what will happen to them both since that phase from the end of the book is kinda enlightenment of my thought process of what will go down and how will they return to being a crazy in love couple again.

I truly love reading this author’s books. I have savoured and enjoyed every books she’s read. This is the Heartless King, book 2 of Sold to the Mafia. I found this book compelling and complicated and I truly enjoyed it and o can’t wait for the 3rd. This story revolves around Romero and Luciana and in this book Romero is shocked, disappointed and hurt when he finds out Luciana betrays him. Now she has a huge task to try and prove she does love him and she’s sorry but it will be an uphill batter as he doesn’t let many people in and he let her in.

Book 2 of the Sold to the Mafia Boss series did not disappoint. I freaking love Romero and Luciana’s relationship. After discovering her betrayal, Romero struggles with how to reconcile his feelings towards his wife and their broken trust. This story is full of angst and longing and we discover if they can move past this broken trust and rebuild a path towards a future together. As more secrets are revealed, they are tested as individuals and as a couple and the end leaves you wanting more.
Simply loved it and can’t wait for the final book in the series.

The storyline leaves much to be desired. Luciana is vapid, brainless and easily led. Romero is stubborn, set in his ways and ruthless, but falls in love for the first time. This couple is entertaining. They argue have sex and repeat daily. They get into a dangerous situation and have a back and forth conversation instead of escaping. They encounter people trying to kill them and both factions stand and discuss family histories. I found this to be laughable and comical.
Book repeats excerpts from previous book which was repetitive. In time author should develop into a good writer. My rating is for the comedy of errors I found to be entertaining ..

Well, I thought Ruthless Saints was just about the best book I had read in a very long time, and then Ella Jade, author extraordinaire, came out with Her Heartless King and now I don’t know which is more captivating! Her Heartless King is Book 2 of the Sold to the Mafia Boss Series and a continuation of the story of Luciana and Romero. Luciana’s betrayal of Romero’s family secrets and Romero’s reaction to her are legendary and so hot, you’ll need the a/c running at full blast just to continue breathing! So, buckle up and bring the ice cubes, you do not want to miss this one!!
